a expresividad intensa de su mirada se enfoca ahora mismo en un solo objetivo: el mercado anglosajón. Ximena Duque, con más de 20 proyectos en la TV hispana, ahora está empeñada en conquistar al público estadounidense. Un primer guiño con producciones norteamericanas logró encantarla en 2016 cuando participó en la famosísima soap opera estadounidense “Days of Our Lives” y la bella actriz, quien ahora disfruta de las mieles de haberse convertido en madre por segunda vez, nos dijo en exclusiva sus planes para este mercado. La carismática colombiana originaria de Cali ha sabido ganarse a un amplio número de seguidores, incluso desde antes que la cantidad importara en redes sociales. Ximena Duque cuenta con 3.3 millones de seguidores en instagram, sabe honrar con respeto y compromiso a cada una de las personas que sigue su carrera de cerca.
Hablemos de tu trayectoria, ¿cómo crees que ha evolucionado la Ximena de aquel reality que la lanzó a la fama, a la Ximena de 2019? La Ximena de hoy sin duda ha evolucionado de una manera muy especial. No solo en mi vida profesional, ya que a lo largo de estos años he tenido la oportunidad de aprender a llevar el medio artístico, algo que no es nada fácil. He aprendido que la humildad nos lleva lejos y esto es algo que siempre tuve presente desde mis comienzos. También he aprendido que con perseverancia y paciencia hacemos realidad nuestros sueños y que cuando una puerta se cierra se abren 10 más. En mi vida personal...
Tengo la familia que siempre soñé Mis hijos, el regalo más grande que Dios me pudo haber dado, y me premió con un esposo completamente dedicado a nosotros, que sin duda ha sido una
bendición para nuestras vidas. Hoy en día, soy una actriz con experiencias profesionales maravillosas en donde cada papel que he realizado en los más de 20 proyectos que tengo bajo mi resume, han marcado mi vida profesional para siempre. Hoy cuento con un increíble número de seguidores que para mí son la recompensa a mi arduo trabajo. Llegaste a incursionar en la Tv de habla inglesa con una participación en la reconocida “Days Of Our lives”, ¿aún te atrae la idea de trabajar para producciones norteamericanas? ¿Qué te gustaría? La idea de trabajar en producciones americanas sin duda me quita el sueño ja ja, después de mi experiencia en DAYS OF OUR LIVES y QUEEN OF THE SOUTH me quedé con ganas de más. Mi sueño sería encajar en un show americano y que tenga, ¿por qué no? ¡20 temporadas! Ja ja. Me encantaría seguir haciendo cine, pues, después de haber hecho dos películas y verme en la pantalla grande dije ¡wow! ¡¡¡Esto definitivamente es lo mío!!!
A principios de 2019 pudo conocerse que terminaba tu contrato con la cadena con la que trabajaste por más de diez años, Telemundo, ¿hacia dónde se dirige Ximena luego de tanto éxito en las producciones de esta empresa? El fin de mi contrato de exclusividad con Telemundo me llevó a abrir los ojos y darme cuenta que hay un mundo de posibilidades allá afuera para nosotros como actores. Fueron muchos años en una sola empresa con la cual estoy demasiado agradecida por creer en mí y sé que es mi momento de buscar nuevos horizontes. Dios ha llevado mi carrera desde el día uno y sé que este momento de transición es solo por mi bien. Quiero enfocarme 100% en el mercado anglosajón y seguir creciendo en mis plataformas digitales, ya que hoy en día es una plataforma maravillosa para impactar la vida de miles de personas y seguir creciendo como figura pública Ximena desde que te convertiste en mamá por segunda vez, tus seguidores y el público en general ha podido seguir de cerca esta maravillosa nueva etapa. ¿Qué tan distinto ha sido de la primera vez? Mi experiencia con Luna ha sido tan diferente a la de Cristan, mi primer hijo... Son dos etapas de mi vida muy diferentes, cada una hermosa en su esencia y colores. No les puedo negar que esta segunda vez ha sido más fácil que la primera. Con mi hijo era apenas una niña…Ser madre es lo mejor que me ha pasado en mi vida. ¿Tienes a alguna “muse” que te aconseja en tu carrera? Digamos que tengo muchos mentores que ni ellos saben qué lo son jaja. Trato de aprender de los errores de los demás, también del éxito de los demás y por supuesto del talento de muchos. ¿Qué imagen quieres proyectarle al mundo de Ximena? Quiero proyectar a una Ximena imparable, llena de sueños, de metas, de ilusiones y que vean en mí a una mujer que, por encima de todo, ama a Dios y a su familia, y que eso para mí es la clave del éxito. Estás casada con un bello americano, ¿mantienes tu cultura colombiana en casa con tus hijos? ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de ser Latina? Claro que mi cultura se mantiene en mi casa, aquí todos los fines de semana se come huevo, perico, arepa y pan de bono, se habla español y la primera opción en nuestro play list son los “latin hits” jaja. Me encanta nuestro sabor latino y saber que represento a un país tan bello como Colombia, me llena de alegría y orgullo.
¿Cuál es el trabajo más gratificante que has hecho hasta ahora? El trabajo más gratificante que he hecho hasta ahora es el de criar a mis hijos. Ver a mi hijo de 15 años convertido en todo un caballero me llena de satisfacción y ver de la manera que Luna está creciendo, es algo simplemente hermoso. Sin duda es el trabajo más duro pero el más recompensado. ¿Tienes una trayectoria exitosa en telenovelas, cuál ha sido tu rol favorito en unas de las que has actuado? Tengo dos personajes favoritos, Carola de “La casa de al lado” y Samantha en “Corazón Valiente”. Estos dos personajes marcaron un antes y un después en mi vida profesional. Tienes millones de seguidores en tus redes, lo cual es bastante ¿cómo has logrado a tener ese éxito en tus redes sociales? Para ser exactos, tengo casi 6 millones de seguidores en FB, casi Un millón en
Twitter y 3.3 en IG, ¡solo para que quede claro! jaja Esto solo significa una sola cosa. RESPONSABILIDAD, cuando nos convertimos en figuras influyentes tenemos que dar el mejor ejemplo y eso es lo que trato de hacer todos los días. y ¡creo que esa ha sido la clave! En corto: Mayor sueño: Trabajar en una película en Hollywood Lo que me hace más feliz: mi familia El momento más inolvidable: cuando tuve a mis hijos. La palabra que mejor describe a Ximena es: PERSEVERANCIA Amor de mi vida: Dios, Jay Adkins, Cristan y Luna Tu régimen de entrenamiento y alimentación más importante: Trato de mantener un estilo de vida muy balanceado, sin ir a los extremos, pero siempre cuidando de mi salud. Voy al gimnasio 5 veces a la semana y llevo una alimentación saludable aunque ¡me doy mis gusticos de vez en cuando.

-Eres experto en la feminización y masculinización de los rostros para destacar la belleza natural de cada cara sin cambiarle su look. Cuéntanos sobre este procedimiento innovador. Esto parte de la idea de buscar la mejor versión de cada persona, no necesitamos ser otra persona para lograr tener una mejor versión, lo que podemos hacer es analizar, y este si es parte de un don personal que la vida y Dios me ha regalado, de saber qué puedo hacer con la cara de cada persona. Antes, se buscaba individualmente a un mejor especialista en nariz, mentón, pómulos y así se creó en la parte de mercadotecnia, a través de la medicina estética reconstructiva. Entonces cuando esta idea sale, la industria comienza a crear varios tipos de ácido hialurónico, que antes solamente existían de 6 meses a 1 año, ahora existen de hasta 3 años para cada tipo de zona de la cara. -¿Qué tratamientos estéticos tienes de vanguardia en este momento? Dale a nuestro lectores un sneak peek de lo que viene a futuro en la industria de la estética Digamos que la vanguardia la puedo tener en todos los tratamientos que se aplican en el corporativo porque busco la mejor solución de acuerdo a lo que va saliendo en el mercado, pero, como te digo, lo que puedo tener a diferencia de todos los otros médicos es la solución química de poner silicio orgánico, fusionarlo y hacer que el ácido hialurónico no drene tan rápido, porque los tratamientos no son económicos y yo los hago más duraderos, entonces yo, pudiéramos decir que la vanguardia de lo que hago se basa en ésta forma de hacer que el tratamiento y los resultados sean más duraderos.

-Trabajas con muchas celebridades en México, ¿qué rostro te encantaría trabajar de Hollywood? Estoy trabajando con algunas celebridades en México. ¿De Hollywood? Pues mira, en realidad hay mujeres hermosas. En todo Hollywood, el público en general podría decir que hay gente que no necesita nada, pero siempre una cara que va a salir en pantalla debe estar muy bien cuidada. Sería todo un reto poder atender a las mejores. Si me preguntas, solo por tener el honor de atenderlas, aunque son mujeres muy hermosas y no lo necesitan, yo diría que Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, que son mis favoritas en pantalla. -¿Tienes planes de abrir algunas clínica en Miami a futuro? La parte que ha hecho que este corporativo crezca es el trabajo que hago yo mismo, entonces necesitaría organizarme muy bien para poder cumplir con todas mis funciones, y con la calidad de mi trabajo, pero por supuesto que mi próximo punto de foco es Miami. Florida y sus alrededores podrán saber pronto de una cuarta sucursal de Health & Medic Corporate.
-¿Cual son tu planes a futuro con tu carrera? En algún momento de mi vida llegué a pensar que alcanzar una primera clínica y luego una sucursal era mi sueño, y creo que la vida gratamente en los últimos 3 años me ha ido sorprendiendo. He tenido la mentalidad y la inteligencia emocional de saber manejar el éxito, el ingreso-beneficio de lo que hago, para poder hacer grandes inversiones, para saber cómo hacerlas, saber cómo llegar, tener un grupo y un equipo en Health & Medic Corporate que sea de la mejor calidad; ese era mi objetivo principal. Pero por supuesto que sí siguen habiendo muchas metas, muchas cosas que quiero alcanzar, y que se van a ir dando solas a través del tiempo. -¿Qué hace el Dr. para desconectarse? ¿Qué hobbies tienes? Creo que, fuera del trabajo, hay 3 puntos principales en los que debo dividir mi tiempo, para pasar ese tiempo de calidad mínimo necesario con ellos: familia, amigos y el amor. Pero disfruto mucho trabajar. -¿Cuál sería el momento más fascinante de tu carrera? Tengo aproximadamente 10 años viviendo el momento más fascinante de mi carrera. Cada vez que un paciente tiene miedo y dudas, se las aclaro y decide confiar en mí… cuando se levanta de la camilla y ve los resultados… ¡ese es el momento más apasionante! Ver su cara de satisfacción, de estar sorprendidos gratamente y quiero que ese momento, sea el de mayor satisfacción de toda mi carrera, que siga siendo siempre ese, porque un paciente que salga satisfecho sonriendo y que termine expresándose bonito de lo que tú como profesional fuiste capaz de hacerle, eso me da fuerzas, me da la energía que necesito para trabajar siempre.

os Premios Platino han supuesto el nacimiento de una de las iniciativas más importantes de la historia del cine Iberoamericano, al servir de Plataforma internacional a las producciones cinematográficas de esta región. Son los primeros galardones globales del cine Iberoamericano. Un punto de encuentro internacional para productores, actores, directores de 23 países, con retransmisión para toda Latinoamérica por TNT, además de la señal der TVE en España y otras 17 televisiones en máss de 50 países incluyendo USA. La primera edición fue en PANAMÁ (2014), seguida por MARBELLA (2015), PUNTA DEL ESTE (2016), MADRID (2017) y RIVIERA MAYA (2018). La destacada y renombrada Elvi Cano, directora para EEUU de la Entidad de Gestión de Derechos de los Productores Audiovisuales (Egeda), reconocida como una de las “25 mujeres más poderosas por la revista People en Español” en el 2018, formó parte de los organizadores de los premios, y nos cuenta: “Cuando surgió la idea de crear los Premios Platino, el director de EGEDA y de Los Premios Platino, Miguel Angel Benzal me propuso estar muy involucrada en ellos desde la primera edición que fue en Panamá. First, since excessive hair loss is many times the result of imbalance, we need to understand the causes for any imbalance in order to address them correctly. A certain amount of hair loss is always considered normal, as old strands are replaced by new ones, however, when hair loss is excessive, this is a sign of lifestyle, diet or environmental imbalance. Today, stress, worry, and anxiety, along with an inadequate nutrition and toxicity, usually lead to hair loss and premature graying of the hair. In Ayurveda, the hair is considered a byproduct of bone formation since the same tissue responsible for building bones is also responsible for the growth of hair. Early hair loss is related to body type and the balance of the mind-body constitution (doshas). People with excess fire and water elements (Pitta) in their body are more prone to early hair lose, as well as prematurely thinning or gray hair. Excess Pitta in the sebaceous gland, at the root of the hair or folliculitis is another trigger for hair loss. Our process starts with evaluating diet. Frequent intake of fried, sour, spicy, salty, and fermented foods, as well as red meat, tea, coffee, and alcohol, aggravate the metabolic functions in the body. Pitta then accumulates in the scalp and “burns out” the hair follicle. Emotions also play an important factor due to the hormonal release they cause. Excessive anger and stress could also be responsible for accelerated hair loss. The Ayurvedic treatment of hair loss is aimed at balancing Pitta through a customized diet, lifestyle corrections and herbal support. Begin with diet modification, consuming more fresh fruits, leafy green vegetables and vegetable juice prepared from lettuce, carrot, bell pepper, and alfalfa. Avoid spicy, heavy, oily, refined, and junk foods, as well as caffeinated tea, coffee, alcoholic and carbonated drinks. I received RevAir hairdryer in the mail and I thought it was quite big and looked like a vacuum so it was a bit intimidating but this blow dryer is the best styling tool I have ever used. I will never go back to an ordinary blowdryer.

The RevAir is extremely easy to use, doesn’t damage hair at all (The highest heat setting on the RevAir is half the heat of a regular blowdryer.) and it manages to blow-dry my hair while straightening it all at once and its cut down blowdrying time in half.
