EXISTENCE … DETAILS Working as a nature photographer for more than thirteen years, I am permanently discovering and capturing the essence of the personality of nature in her most intimate details. My quest is to get closer to the microcosm of nature, who is always full of contrasts. NATURA COLOR is exposing the dialogue that I’ve sustained in silence with the most inadvertent details discovered in Colombia’s natural world – a dialogue that I intend to amplify with the possibility of exploring new fields, looking for answers and learning from critiques. NATURA COLOR invites the spectator to be amazed by the minute, converting these images into a balm for the spirit. It’s probable these photos are an affirmation of beauty of your esthetic values as well as a visual stimulus. I invite you to refine your capacity to observe, to look at the details in your natural environment, feeling the link that makes all existence possible.
Edwin Laverde has worked as a nature photographer since 1998 having more than twenty exhibitions in Colombia and the United States. To complement his labor as a nature photographer, he has taken courses in biology, entomology, and environmental management. He’s a journalist and reporter with over seventeen years of experience working in radio and print. He writes travel chronicles and nature articles for local and regional publications in Colombia. He has directed several documentaries about nature and Colombian’s protected natural areas for television.
