elcome to the first edition of The Holt Headliner. At Holt JCB we pride ourselves on great customer service and this publication is designed to update you on news from Holt JCB and the industry, whilst offering great parts and machine deals.

To enhance our customer service, we are blessed with a number of long-term team members, who are not only able to assist with supporting current production machines but also remember the days of the JCB6C excavator! I am delighted to announce that Stan Piechowicz celebrates 35 years with Holt JCB this July and continues to provide excellent aftermarket support to customers. Stan joins a list of Mary Turner, Dave Summers, Alan Buck and Terry Mitchell, who are all in the 35+ year club

at Holt JCB and continue to support our customers with their immeasurable product knowledge and support.

As the current market continues to flourish, and we maintain investment in the sales and support structure, we believe it is important to keep you all aware of the vast range of machines and support packages available from Holt JCB. Whilst we cannot promote all 350+ machines available, Holt Headliner will provide an insight in to the product range, which we would love to discuss with you.

Holt JCB service support Help for Heroes cyclists On Saturday 7th June, Rebecca and Nigel Leppard set off from Gloucestershire, along with the Gloucester Help for Heroes Riders Team.

On the first day alone the team of eight cycled over 120 miles.

Accompanying the rally was our very own Holt JCB support vehicle and the riders thoroughly appreciated seeing the ‘instantly recognisable’ Holt JCB van at various points along the route.

The vehicle had tools on board to help repair breakdowns and punctures, and carried food, water, medical supplies and overnight bags.

“Without the help of the Holt JCB service van the team would not have been able to participate in this fundraising event,” said Rebecca Leppard, Director, Eventageous PR Ltd. The Gloucester riders raised over £2,000 for Help For Heroes.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY! We’ve had a break but never fear, because Flashback Friday is, once again, here! This month we are looking back at the archaic JCB 1D Dumper vs. the compact, walk-behind, high-tip HTD5 Dumpster.

Here we see the rare JCB 1D Dumper the JCB 1D Dumper, pictured at Cromford Steam Rally in 2010. The machine was built from 1960 for two years and the engine was built by JCB, being designed by Joseph Cyril Bamford himself.

Half a century later, JCB have introduced the HTD5 dumpster. A compact, walk-behind, high-tip device, this machine is over 20 times more effective than the

traditional wheelbarrow.
