Richard Trotter’s Legacy: “How One Ad Turned Into $200,000”

Automated emails that flood my inbox. Texts from the pharmacy reminding me of prescriptions. Emails from my bank about my account balance. Even my utilities company, PPL, sends automated messages.
But the worst is when I need help, and I’m stuck on the phone for an hour before I can speak to a real person. Automation can absolutely suck.
This is why it’s crucial to find a balance. Yes, automation can be efficient, but it can also push customers away. Real relationships are built on personal connections, and it’s tough to create those connections through a cold, automated process. You need a platform where you can genuinely engage with people—whether it’s YouTube, Instagram, as a pastor of a church, or as a high school women’s basketball coach.
I don’t want to do my taxes online; I want a person to look at them and make sure everything is in order. When my car needs fixing, I want a mechanic to handle it, not his computer. I don’t want to book a health appointment online; I want to sit down with a doctor who’s
