I’ve got the opportunity to see the industry evolve from an industry essentially that was all about being a salesperson and just selling everything under the sun. Creating financial leverage in a Home Based Business if you are with the CORRECT company is about bringing like-minded people together to work together to better their families lives and financial future.

I joined the industry for 5 reasons 1) I wanted to be in control of my own future. 2) I didn’t want someone else to decide what my value was. 3) I was motivated to spend more quality time with my family. 4) I wanted to be the example for my children that you didn’t have to settle by working for others dreams. You could chase your own dreams and be in control.

5) The low-cost entry made it available to anyone with a dream and the desire to pursue it. Q. With all the current situations not only in America but worldwide how do you think all this will effect the Home Based Business industry? It’s the first time in my 30 year career I’m thinking how could this not be the moment everyone isn’t looking for a different way? Rising gas prices, Rising Grocery Bills, Rising Inflation, Mask Mandates, Government restrictions, Travel restrictions and a rise in home schooling of children. All these situations cry out its time to work from home! I think we have all discovered that at any moment someone else’s decisions (mandates) can not only change our lives in a moment but can restrict them without any say from us. ... see next page

It’s Never About

The Money… It’s Always About Renewing Your Mind…

I want to make it clear I am not the best Christian… I’m more like the guy; you look at out your window and say… He needs Jesus! As an entrepreneur and someone who has been in the direct sales industry for over 40 years, I have studied myself and tens of thousands of others and come to the following conclusion: B+T=F (What we BELIEVE drives what we THINK. What we THINK drives what we FEEL! Be that Anxiety, or anything in your life! But there is more… What we FEEL drives how we ACT. How we ACT drives our RESULTS!) So, if you are not earning the money, because you are not recruiting or closing the sales, then it’s time you start digging deeper into what you truly believe. If we BELIEVE a false THOUGHT about our abilities, then we will ACT incorrectly when we are connecting with others, which will drive the wrong RESULTS with our money. So for the next few minutes I want to write about renewing our minds aka changing our way of thinking about who we are and our abilities. In Philippians 4:6-8 - 6 (NLT) Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about

everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Anxiety is defined as apprehensive uneasiness or nervousness over some anticipated event. Financial anxiety is when we take that definition and apply it to our real or perceived money wows! Totally opposite of what we just read. In many situations, I have witnessed folks put so much stress on themselves to make a sale or recruit because their spouse or family think they made a blunder starting a homebased business, that they come across begging for a close… even on social media. For me, anxiety is defined as that gutwrenching uneasy, nervous, fearful, and distraught feeling I get deep in my gut. And right after that gut-wrenching feeling, comes the emotions of shame,

bitterness, anger, unworthiness, panic, and some I can’t even name… I just know I want to puke, can’t eat, and don’t want to talk to any human being period! I don’t want to risk hearing “I told you so, you should have listened…” The question is why do we feel these emotions so strongly about what other folks think about how we want to earn money… or is it really about the money? Here is the deal, we can have all the money we will ever need, or believe we are headed straight towards bankruptcy hell, no matter what directions we are heading we can all agree anxiety or SUCKS and can stop us in our tracks. So, for now study your B+T=F, so you can change your F+A=R. Next month we will dive deeper. In the late 90s I was recognized as a top income earner with World Marketing Alliance and yet I I was a poser. Don’t get me wrong, by the 90s I was successful; U.S. Marine, bounty hunter, restauranter, revived a failing country club and instrumental in exposing two corrupt political organizations but this was not now. Whereas I had earned the award, I knew this year would be different. Plus, we learned our oldest daughter (3 old at the time) needed a very delicate kidney surgery and we needed to figure out how pay the pediatric kidney surgeon to perform it. I’ll never forget I was yelling at God “Why did you allow this to happen?” SILENCE… Then I heard a small still voice… “I gave you the blessings, the debt on you son!” Not only was I a poser, I knew my relationship with God and Paige were in shambles. I put in a Paul Overstreet cassette and a song played called “Dig Another Well” a story from Gen 26. I started learning something that day as I started down the path of financial recovery – The Lord will trust us with little to see how we do before He will trust us with much! There are four main types of personalities when it comes to money: The Driver - Money Represents Success! You crave for others, specifically friends and family to see you as competent or wise. You fear your friends and family will see you as incompetent if you can’t handle your money, or life in general. The Analytic - Money Represents Security or Independence! You crave complete control of your life… no chaos, no dependence from your spouse, family, or friends. You fear lack of control of your life, or the chaos of being dominated by anyone else. The Amiable - Money Represents Love! You crave affection, you may call it intimacy with your spouse, family, and friends. You fear a loss of affection or intimacy from your spouse family and friends. The Expressive - Money Represents Acceptance! You crave respect, trust and confidence from your spouse, family, and friends! You fear rejection from those you love, respect and trust.

Since 2018, when I made this commitment, I stopped feeling any financial anxiety.

As my story continued and I learned all I’ve written in these three articles, I can’t say I learned quick. We went on to filed for bankruptcy, and our family life was a mess.
