On January 28-29, Blue Earth County SWCD will be holding their annual “Tree Days” Open House. Stop by the USDA Ag Conference Room located at 1160 South Victory Drive, Mankato. This is an opportunity for landowners to order from our list of bareroot trees and shrubs as well as six species of potted conifers to be distributed this spring. There will be brochures on planting and care of trees that you can take home. Also, resource books with color pictures and descriptions of tree species and rain gardens. Staff from the SWCD and DNR will be available to answer questions. Our tree stock is Minnesota grown and can be ordered by everyone. Stop by for hot cider, coffee and cookies. Door prizes to be given away each day.
