CRoSSovER Sunday, July 4 — 2-4:30 p.m. www.crossover-quartet.com A southern gospel family singing group located in central Pennsylvania, in the small town of Mahaffey. CrossOver began it’s music ministry at the Pennsylvania State Singing Convention in Martinsburg, Pa. We have had the pleasure of singing, to date, at other gospel sings, church services, along with private dinners and yes even at our local mall. God’s word clearly says, “Go ye into all the world and preach my word” to us, this means we too must go anywhere and sing and witness to others about the saving

grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We are very thankful, as a family, to be able to do this task and have enjoyed every moment and each new friend we have met along the way. Special thanks, to each organization that has allowed us to be a part of their event and our goal is to bring the joy of the Lord, through music, to each

PUNXSUTAWNEY CHRISTIAN SCHooL PRAISE BAND Sunday, July 4 — 4-5 p.m. "This is True" is comprised of six high school students from the Punxsutawney Christian School. cals and tight group harmonies. They perform tunes in a variety of styles, while remaining true to the doo-wop category. From a style that builds on progressive voices as when they do "At the Hop," to the classics as when they do "Come Go With Me," "I Only Have Eyes For You," and "In the Still of the Night." This is a group that has the versatility to also do songs that became popular during the later doo-wop revival of the 60's. Songs like "Runaround Sue," "Barbara Ann," and "I Really Love You." The Softwinds recorded two original songs entitled "Cross My Heart" and "Oh Baby," both on the HAC label. Steele invites the community to join in the events, beginning Sunday the Fourth and running through the following Saturday. And with its mix of its traditional treats and entertaining activities, the Groundhog Festival committee guarantees another exciting year in Barclay Square. During the day, visitors to the festival can enjoy the Kids Zone rides and children’s games, magicians, ventriloquists, scooter and diaper derby races, and much more. Steele promises that “because there are around 18 food stands and 40 vendors, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.” Since the festival’s beginnings, Barclay Square has been the location for the celebration. Today, the festival has become the major summer attraction. Although it’s tough to estimate the number of attendees each day, Steele commented, “People keep coming back because of the free local, regional, and national entertainers and the clean, family environment.” Performances on the bandstand always draw the largest crowds. Over the last 20 years, it is estimated that there have been over 130 bands in addition to the variety of entertainment that is selected to perform. Some highlights this year include tributes to Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Presley, Unbridled Country Music, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Classic Rock bands. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and then again at 9 p.m. each night of the festival, with the exception of July 4 when the firework performance fills the sky at 9:30. The complete schedule of events and highlights for the week are listed inside this issue and also found at the Festival Committee’s website: www.groundhogfestival.com. •••

BRUCE IN THE USA TRIBUTE To BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN Tuesday, July 6 — 7:30-8:30 p.m. & 9-10 p.m. www.bruceintheusa.com Bruce In The USA is much more than just another tribute… This high-energy musical experience is a note-perfect and visually accurate recreation of a Bruce Springsteen and The E. St. Band show. Matt Ryan, from the World Famous "Legends In Concert" cast, played the Springsteen character for eight years, in their "full scale" Las Vegas show. The great success with "Legends" evolved his character into the Bruce In The USA show. His amazing portrayal of "The Boss" (not to mention his jaw-dropping resemblance) is as close as you can get to see the real thing in concert. Backed by a strong, powerful Clarence "The Big Man" Clemence…and a smokin' handed "Little Stevie," Bruce In The USA takes this genre of performance art to a whole new level. Making it the World's #1 Tribute to the E. St. Band's legacy. To millions of diehard fans around the world, it's Springsteen's marathon, party-like performances that have elevated him to hero status. Bruce's legendary concerts (in the largest are-

nas) sell-out within hours of their announced sale. For those even lucky enough to get a ticket, there was nothing that could fill the aching void in between Bruce's long-awaited tours…until now. The Bruce In The USA show was born on the Las Vegas Strip in the winter of 2004, with it's debut at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino's majestic "V Theatre". The West Coast's most acclaimed musicians and characters were casted into a double-take version of the E. St. Band. Bruce In The USA assaulted the senses in a funfilled and exciting party atmosphere on the Vegas Strip, while suspending disbelief for even the toughest skeptics. They've been met with critical acclaim by even the toughest skeptics, from the Stone Pony, Asbury Park to House Of Blues' and large theatres across the country, where sell out crowds are on their feet from the first song to the last. Clarence Clemence himself, joined the band on stage in New York, claiming after the show that it was the greatest Tribute he's ever seen… Can't argue with "The Big Man" Co-Sponsored by S&T Bank. As some may know, Unbridled wasn't always a country band. We were a Top 40 dance band for 12 1/2 years. We were called Metro. When the music style started going heavily into rap and we didn't want to pursue that avenue, so we decided to play country music. As we played the country music some of our fans from Metro came out and asked us if we could play any of the dance music from Metro. Our response to that was that we were a country band and that is what we should play. After repeatedly being asked to play some dance music we gave in and started to play a few dance songs. The floor was always packed when we played the dance

music, and we had a few club owners ask if we thought we could do an entire night of dance music. The band discussed the idea, and we decided to do TWO BANDS . We will still be Unbridled for the country music, but, we will also be known as METRO. We will play music of the 80's, 90's and today. So you can have the best of both worlds. If you see Unbridled advertised, you can expect to hear and dance to great country music. This event is sponsored by Proform Powdered Metals.

other than founding members Gregg St.Charles and Joey Von Richter who then scrambled to collect enough pocket change to make a few calls to find some other musicians to help cover the night. Well, what went down on that special night was nothing short of a belated Christmas Miracle, for on that magical night was forged the beginning of a band that would come and go for the next 30 years. then went on to tour nationally becoming one of the country's premier Rock N Roll shows, opening for countless Headliners, Fairs, Theaters, Festivals and Theme Parks. Midnight Special also enjoyed regional success on Polygraph Records with the release of "Eye to Eye" and "Dixie Normous" (a Southern Rock Anthem ironically banned in the south.) Speaking of Southern Rock..... Midnight Special was also the 1st band in documented history to have "FREEBIRD" screamed out at a concert event. This live music ritual has since continued on through the last four decades and continues to be practiced today at any given concert event no matter how unlikely it is that it will be played. Now marks the 30 year Anniversary of one of America's All Time Great Rock N Roll shows performing a collection of classic 70s rock from the list of Greatest Songs of All Time in true 70s fashion. Midnight Special still has ALL of there original Vintage instruments and stage equipment from there last tour "Endowed & Proud! 82" making this a very authentic trip back to 70s Rock n Roll with that 70s Band...Midnight Special. This event is Co-Sponsored by First Commonwealth Bank.

The Brothers have played states all over the country including, Georgia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Ohio, Rhode Island, New York, Alabama, and West Virginia. 2006, Pork was off to the bright of lights Nashville, and Dave & Dave had to start thinking about shifting gears. So after about ten seconds disthey cussed adding their friend, Randy George into the mix and became Hot Foot Harry. Dave & Dave also can be seen playing with" Denny & The New Twisters", and Randy George also performs regularly as a member of the well-known "The Wrangler Band". With three strong vocals, a powerful 3-piece style, and a diverse repertoire, Hot Foot Harry can definitely keep a crowd dancing and coming back for more! DENNY & THE TWISTERS REFUELED AND READY To CRUISE Saturday July 10th — 4-5:30 p.m. The original version of Denny and the Tw i s t e r s was origin a l l y formed in 1999 Starting with a songlist of extremely popular

'oldies', primarily from the 50s & 60s, and a great deal of musical talent the band took off very quickly. The Twisters enjoyed great success and quickly developed a loyal following of fans as they played regularly from late 1999 through early 2004, but like most good things, this came to an end and The Twisters all parted friends and went off to pursue other musical interests. Fast forward to 2010, after about six years apart, founding members [Denny, Bernie, and Dave] have added three new members to reform a new version of The Twisters. Michele McElhinny (vocals), Raeman Hanna (bass guitar, guitar and vocals) and Dave Hawk (guitar and vocals.) The new 'refueled' lineup will remain true to the original 'oldies' songlist, but the talents of the new members (especially adding a great female vocalist) will open up some different avenues for the band to explore more hit songs from the late-60s to mid-70s as well. What you'll hear from the new version of Denny and the Twisters will be a nice variety of the best songs from the 50s, 60s, and 70s - songs that everyone will recognize, songs that you can sing-along to, and songs that will make you wanna get up and dance. RYAN PELToN TRIBUTE To ELvIS PRESLEY Saturday, July 10 7:30-8:30 p.m. and 9-10 p.m. www.ryanpelton.com Ryan Pelton is an international, awardwinning tribute artist. He has performed all over the world, from casinos to fairs, theaters to festivals, production shows to professional sports arenas. Entertaining audiences in the tens-of-thousands, there

can be no doubt that Ryan Pelton is the rarest kind of performer, living up to his billing time and time again. Ryan Pelton's performance is unique in that he alone performs all the eras of Elvis Presley's amazing career. From the raw-edge fifties, the lighthearted movie years, the electrifying 1968 comeback special, and of course, the powerful Las Vegas years of the seventies Ryan Pelton does it all! Throughout his career, Ryan Pelton has had the opportunity to work beside many of the original musicians and vocalists that performed with Elvis Presley himself, including The Jordanaires, The Imperials, The Sweet Inspirations, D.J. Fontana, Charlie Hodge, Jerry Scheff, and Millie Kirkham. Ryan has also had the pleasure of working with Memphis Mafia members Joe Esposito, Sonny West and Lamar Fike. Recently, Ryan Pelton has appeared with Celine Dion on American Idol performing a duet of If I Can Dream. In addition, Ryan play's the role of Elvis in the current Dakota Fanning film, Hound Dog. Today, Ryan can be seen all over the world touring with his show, American Icon. www.groundhogfestival.com
