In late 2010, Brenda Mishler (formerly Brenda Chamberlin), of DuBois, began a music ministry in order to use her Godgiven voice to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and testimony. With Brenda at the microphone, you can expect to hear some of the old-time gospel songs you remember from days
My dad, Paul, and I have been singing together ever since I can remember. I remember when I was a young boy and dad had a band called The Rattlesnake River Band. He would once in a while call me up to stage with him and his band, and I would sing background vocals on a song or two.
Well, times have changed. We have all grown, and our God has blessed us with great family and many musical opportunities. I currently work as a corrections officer for the state of Pennsylvania and have also led our modern worship service and Praise band for my church for seven years (Crosswords Church – Otterbein Campus). Paul is a retired pastor of 26 years. Recently, a musician friend of ours, Tom Frye, shared some information with a producer in Nashville, Tennessee, Jeremy Casella. After interaction with Jeremy and after hearing our ideas and with much enthusiasm, Jeremy has begun production on several of my original songs for our first CD project. Get ready to be entertained by one of the most versatile music acts in the country. You’ve heard of three men and a baby – how about four brothers and a wife! Meet the Moore Brothers – four brothers, Rick, John, Bill, and Mike Moore and the wife, Janie. Together, they make up the most unique music act you will ever see. They sing doo-wop; they do the 1950s and the 1960s, including the high notes of those great songs of Jay & the Americans and Roy Orbison. And they do classic rock, the hits of country legends, and those of today’s best country artists. But that’s not all. They do full costume tributes to groups like ZZ Top, the Beatles, and the hilarious Soggy Bottom Boys from the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?, as well as their

How about guys that can play hard rockin’ double lead guitars then pick up the fiddle and do great foot-stompin’ country? They do it all. The charisma and appeal of this family band has won them a fan base that stretches from Iowa to New Jersey and from Massachusetts to Georgia. Their blend of music and comedy and their mastery of performing tributes to a variety of artists have made the Moore Brothers one of the most sought-after bands in the industry and have kept audiences traveling hundreds of miles for repeat performances.
Beatlemania Magic – consisting of Bill Kropinak as John Lennon, Russ Saylor as Paul McCartney, Mark Baranski as George Harrison, and Burt Scheel as Ringo Starr – conjures again the magic of Beatlemania. Combing music and ventriloquism, Jimmy Swogger takes the stage with plenty of help from his entourage of characters! There is Bobby, a feisty young man who knows how to push Jimmy’s buttons. He has been with Jimmy since the beginning when Jimmy began doing ventriloquism at age twelve. Then there’s the very popular Walter, a grumpy, opinionated old man! And Carl that loveable frog Kermit’s cousin, and Sparkie, a very lively animated dragon, and the very talented Louis Armstrong, and, boy, can he play a trumpet! Then there’s Benny, who spends most of his time managing his restaurant. And we can’t forget Saul, who reminds you of a very famous uncle on Duck Dynasty, or Little Jeff, a very, let’s say, ornery young man, or the Classic Charlie McCarthy! Jimmy’s characters are anything but dummies; they have taken on lives of their own. Each one has their own loyal fans!

There is no entry fee; however, only one frog per person may be entered in the contest. All frogs are welcome, and proper care of the frogs must be the top priority – we want to keep our friends safe and “hoppy”! Each frog will be judged on three consecutive jumps. Decisions of the judges are final. Age groups are ages 5-7, ages 8-10, and ages 11-13. The winner in each age group will be determined by a frog’s total distance, in feet and inches, for his or her three consecutive jumps. In the event of a tie, a “jump off” will be held. continued on next page

Entertaining thousands of folks throughout the United States, this energetic duo is definitely a crowd pleaser. “Angels in Heaven” a song from their 2000 recording received airplay on more than 200 stations. In July 2010, Nashville recording artists Cook & Belle released their sophomore CD entitled First Love to Last – a recording that takes the listener on a vocal journey that is progressively driven. Mixing raw passion, soul, and a gospel influence makes Cook & Belle’s hit country a sound of its own. During the past ten years, Cook & Belle have opened for such artist as Dierks Bentley, Randy Travis, Rascal Flatts, Joe Nichols, Joe Diffie, the Charlie Daniels Band, Montgomery Gentry, Tracy Lawrence, Lonestar, Sara Evans, Phil Vasser, and Craig Morgan. Cook & Belle travel with a five-piece band and production if needed. Having fun, playing great music, and entertaining like nobody’s business is what you get from the shows of Cook & Belle. WEDNESDAY, JULY 6 10 a.m. – Noon. Children’s activities (ages 6-12) at the Lattimer House. This year’s theme is “Boom Town Era Activities.”

Encouragement from family and friends will ensure an exciting time for the little trotters to stay on course and finish the race! Registration for the Tot Trot will be at 9 a.m. (the same time as the Diaper Derby), and they will race following the Diaper Derby.

Granpa’s miniature truck is only four feet wide and about eight feet long, but it delivers a mile of smiles, as well as lots of chicken trivia. Both the character and his transportation were designed and built from scratch, no pun intended, down on the farm in the shop of Sam Bowman, near Sharpsville, Indiana. It features lights, sound effects, music, and a squirting radiator.

Tentative schedule is subject to change.
Granpa’s lightning-quick mind is exceeded only by his warp-nine wit. You can never be around him long without hearing some joke, story, or anecdote from the good ole days. He also promotes the grand opening of his Chicken Restaurant, which came about because he ran his truck right through the chicken coop and over all Granma’s chickens. Before you can get away from him, you will probably hear more facts about chickens than you want to know, but then Granpa is always killing three birds with one stone! One way or another, you will end up pelted by at least a dozen of his really silly jokes, and your kids will never fail to hear all about the importance of working together. Your kids will always get a thrill out of meeting a real, live puppet driving his own vehicle, and they might also end up squirted by his truck’s radiator.
Media-savvy kids can meet Granpa anytime at his online home at www.oldcoot.com; however, they still seem to love their in-person experience with Granpa. Parents love Granpa because he always offers a great life lesson, like this year’s “work together” lesson. As the quintessential senior citizen, Granpa is full of life and energy, and grandparents love his stories from down on the farm in the good ole days. Look for Granpa to tickle your funny bone in Punxsutawney. Take a load off for a while and enjoy his big stage show, “Chicken Pot Kaplowie.” It’s fun for the whole family, but watch out – you might also learn something!

7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Midnight Special Live SPONSORED BY PROFORM POWDERED METALS 9 p.m. – 10 p.m. Midnight Special Live (second show) Midnight Special Live And so our story begins at a frigid New Year’s Eve show in 1976 when two local Cincinnati bands where scheduled to perform together. All seemed like just another Happy New Year’s show with the slight exception that only one member from each band had shown up! So just who were these two prompt and punctual professionals you ask? Well, none other than founding members Gregg St. Charles and Joey Von Richter, who
then scrambled to collect enough pocket change to make a few calls to find some other musicians to help cover the night. Well, what went down on that special night was nothing short of a belated Christmas miracle, for on that magical night, the beginning of a band that would come and go for the next thirtythree years was forged – Midnight Special.
Midnight Special went on to tour nationally, becoming one of America’s premier rock ’n’ roll shows, opening for countless national headliners, fairs, theaters, festivals, theme parks, and bar mitzvahs. Midnight Special is also the first band in documented history to have “Free Bird” screamed out at a concert event. This ritual has continued through the last four decades and continues to be practiced today, regardless of the likelihood that the song will be played. After years of endless touring and recording, the band called it quits in 1983 to pursue various solo projects, capitol ventures, and extensive tours of some of the best rehab clinics in the world. Now marks the thirty-year anniversary of one of America’s all-time great rock ’n’ roll shows, as the band performs a collection of classic ’70s rock from the list of the greatest songs of all time in true ’70s fashion. Midnight Special still has all its original vintage instruments and stage equipment continued on next page

7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Chris Higbee (country music) 9 p.m. – 10 p.m. Chris Higbee (second show)
Chris Higbee When’s the last time you heard a high-energy lead singer blow you away on the fiddle? If your answer is Charlie Daniels, great! Then you definitely need to see the one and only Chris Higbee in concert!
Higbee grew up a farm boy with a musical curiosity and a diligent mother and father. That curiosity quickly became a passion that drove his dreams. “Fiddles Rock,” the first track on Higbee’s new album, tells that story and was inspired by his late father. It was cowritten with Higbee’s producers, Tommy Harden and Don Rollins (“It’s Five O’clock Somewhere”).
Higbee founded the PovertyNeck Hillbillies in 2000, delivering uniquely wild and energetic concerts across the country on stages, rooftops, and anything else Higbee could fathom a way to play from! PNH performed for seven years before disbanding – develop-
ing an international fan base, distributing two records, and releasing a No. 2 nationally ranked video, “Mr. Right Now,” starring “Big Ben” Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Higbee has been working diligently and has released a full-length album and a new EP, recording the kind of music that reflects his energy and enthusiasm. After co-writing five tracks on the album, Chris is anxious to deliver it to his fans. Other writers on the record include Brett James, Ashley Gorley, Wade Kirby, and Paul Overstreet. He is currently working on his new full-length album, due out sometime this year. Two of the tracks, (“Write to Me” and “You’re Still Gone”) are about Higbee’s wife, Sgt. Melissa Higbee, who spent several deployments away from home (including Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom). As the story is told in “You’re Still Gone,” one of those deployments happened immediately after their marriage. She is now serving as a Senior Drill Sergeant in the US Army. Fans appreciate Higbee’s patriotism because they can relate to it in this time of war.
Along with his writing and the new album, Higbee plays more than 150 shows per year! Fully equipped with production and a tour bus, he delivers a killer show and makes new fans wherever he plays. He wows audiences by climbing light trusses, fiddling out in the audience, and his stage show and vocals put out an energy that people love no matter where he is!

Though its members have only been together for over a year, each brings a cultured plethora of musical experiences and talents to the table: lead singers, Brad Esposito (also on guitar) and Megan Carlson, pair up to do interesting versions of fan-favorite songs, such as hard rock classics from AC/DC and Led Zeppelin to grunge-alternative bands such as Foo Fighters and Relient K. Seth Carlson demonstrates his meticulous skill on lead and rhythm guitars and harmonies for the band, while Tony Vega is a force to be reckoned with on bass guitar. band to a whole new level. 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Ryan Pelton’s “Tribute to the King” CO-SPONSORED BY KRISE TRANSPORTATION, INC., AND PRIORITY FIRST FCU 9 p.m. – 10 p.m. Ryan Pelton’s “Tribute to the King” (second show) Ryan Pelton
Ryan Pelton is an international, award-winning, Elvis tribute artist, actor, and singer/songwriter. He often refers to himself as the “Forest Gump” of the ETA world and claims to have been blessed with an extraordinary amount of dumb luck.
In September of 1998, Ryan Pelton was dared by his mother to enter a local Elvis contest in Columbus, Ohio. At the time, Ryan was building websites for a living. Ryan didn’t grow up in an “Elvis” household. He knew little about the King of rock ’n’ roll, except for the fact that adults in public often said he looked like a “young Elvis” growing up. Despite only having one week to prepare, Ryan entered the contest, and against all odds, he won. “I remember having to write the lyrics on my hand because I wasn’t familiar with any of the songs. And keep in mind, I had never sang before in my life before that first contest.” Pelton’s days as a website designer were soon over, as he wanted to pursue the entertainment world, saying, “I don’t want to be ninety years old one day and look back saying, ‘what if?’”
Over the next decade, Pelton honed his craft becoming an international, award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist. In 2001 Pelton was declared the “World Champion” when he won the Worldwide Images of the King Contest in Memphis, Tennessee. He has performed all over the world, from casinos to fairs, theaters to festivals, production shows to professional sports arenas. Entertaining audiences in the tens-of-thousands, there can be no doubt that Ryan Pelton is the rarest kind of performer – living up to his billing time and time again.
Throughout his career, Pelton has been involved in a number or unique opportunities that have led him to call himself the “Forest

Gump” of the ETA world. Ryan performed with the world’s largest impersonator production show, Legends in Concert, for nearly a decade, including a six-year stint in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Early in his career, Ryan appeared in an all-Elvis version of The Weakest Link, where he walked away the winner of the second largest total ever won on the show in the United States. He has appeared in an international commercial for Volvo, was the featured ETA in a special collector’s “Elvis Edition” of TV Guide, and was the body double for Elvis as he performed a duet of “If I Can Dream” on American Idol with Celine Dion. During this time he also made his first movie appearance as he played the role of Elvis in the Dakota Fanning move, Hounddog. In 2011, Ryan Pelton decided it was time to take his career to the next level when he released his first original album, Wash Over Me. Within a week after the release of the album, Pelton was signed as a songwriter by a wellknown Nashville publishing company.
Shortly thereafter, Ryan Pelton was offered the lead role in a Hollywood film called The Identical. He took the screen name “Blake Rayne” for the film, which also starred Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd, and Seth Green. The film, which won the audience choice award for best film at the Nashville Film Festival, opened in theaters on September 5, 2014, and is currently a top ten rental on Netflix.
Ryan still continues to write and record his original music under the name of Blake Rayne and is currently working on his first original album under that name. “Blake” also continues to audition for acting roles, saying that, “Acting is one of the hardest things I have ever done … I guess that’s why I like it so much. It kind of calls to my soul.” But have no doubt – Ryan Pelton got his first break in entertainment by singing Elvis Presley music, and he has no plans to stop what got him where he is anytime soon. Says Pelton, “Life is like a box of chocolates … and I got the one that looks like Elvis! I consider myself lucky … and I owe so much to Elvis. Without the King and his music, I’d still be building websites.” •••
