Established in 2005, Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center in Marion, IN, was created in response to the expanding need for specialized autism treatment services. Its mission was to significantly enhance the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. Hopebridge was envisioned by Kim Strunk, a seasoned occupational therapist, who noticed a frequent challenge among the families she served. Many of her patients exhibited signs of autism, and their families often had to travel extensively to receive adequate care. Strunk envisioned a more efficient way to connect these children and their families with the necessary services. Strunk then pioneered a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This approach diverged from the prevailing autism therapy frameworks available at the time, primarily because ABA was not widely recognized or reimbursed by insurance, making it difficult for many to access. Nevertheless, Strunk's persistence, supported by her dedicated team, enabled Hopebridge to introduce new, accessible treatment options for the community. Over 15 years later, Hopebridge Marion, IN, has grown significantly, providing access to quality, dedicated ABA services in multiple states. Starting with a single facility in Indiana, the Organization has expanded to serve patients across 12 states, becoming one of the largest autism therapy networks in the U.S. Under the leadership of Strunk and a team of proficient clinicians, they are committed to delivering exceptional and expert care.
