HICKSTEAD HORSES FOR SALE
The All England Jumping Course at Hickstead is set for an extra special year, as 2020 marks 60 years since the showground first opened. After the very first Hickstead events were held in 1960, it quickly grew to become one of the best-known showjumping venues in the world. The first Hickstead Derby was held a year later in 1961, meaning next summer will also see the running of the 60thAl Shira’aa Derby, which is held on the Sunday afternoon of the Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby Meeting (25-28 June). Expect an extra special year of celebrations as we look back over the remarkable history of the All England Jumping Course and our most iconic class. Our 60thcelebrations will continue during the Longines Royal International Horse Show (21-26 July). This five-star event boasts an array of thrilling showjumping, including the Longines BHS King George V Gold Cup, the Science Supplements BHS Queen Elizabeth II Cup, the BEMER Speed Classic and, of course, the international team competition - the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Great Britain. This year, Hickstead forms the final leg of the series, making it even more exciting as the teams battle it out to stay in Division One and land a place at the Final in Barcelona. 8
