Accor holds accord “ALL Thanks To You” in Philippines, Southeast Asia

Accor launched its “ALL Thanks to You” via a media event held at The Long Bar at Fairmont Hotels in Makati. This was in conjunction with planned sales blitzes in Accor’s regional sales ofces in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam to say All Thanks To You to its trade, sales and business partners in Southeast Asia.

General Managers, Hotel Managers, and key executives of 10 Accor hotels and resorts joined representatives of media outfts engaged in business, travel and tourism, and foreign publications with Kash Salvador, Accor’s Director of Development.

The Philippines is a key market for Accor and the group is heavily focused on expanding its presence in the country. Accor sees the Philippines as a uniquely diverse global destination with a strong combination of fast paced urban lifestyle.

“In the Philippines, ACCOR is the leading international hotel operator with a total of 10 hotels, resorts and brand residences and happy to say that Accor furthermore committed a pipeline of 16 more hotels equivalent to 2,994 keys scheduled to open within the next 5 years. These include Softel Cebu, Mercure Downtown Cebu, Softel Clark, Emblems Clark, Banyan Tree Clark, Angsana Clark, Mercure Clark, Ibis Style Araneta, among others,” Salvador said.

He also mentioned the recent signing of Accor’s partnership with South Palms Resort Panglao in building the frst MGallery resort in Bohol.

The “ALL Thanks to You” sales blitz was held from March 27 to March 31 and participated in by Rafes Makati, Fairmont Makati, Rafes Residences Makati, Softel Philippine Plaza, Swissotel Clark, Admiral Hotel

MGallery, Movenpick Resort and Spa Boracay, Novotel Manila Araneta Center, Novotel Suites Manila Al Acqua, and Joy Nostalg Hotel and Suites Manila. An update on Accor’s commitment to sustainability, which includes removing all single-use plastics from the guest experience and reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2050 was presented.

AHRM inducts new BODs, launches association’s new logo

Bueno led the induction of The Association of Human Resources Managers (AHRM) new set of ofcers following a membership meeting last March 23 at the New World Makati.

Also sworn in were Vice President Divine delos Reyes of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, Secretary Dean Angie Blanco of CCA Manila, Treasurer Valeria Zubia of Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, PRO AJ Dela Fuente of Robinsons Group of Hotels, Auditor Jef dela Paz of Diamond Hotel Philippines, and Director Judith Imperial of Lyceum of the Philippines Manila.

De Garriz also unveiled the new AHRM logo with 3 fgures of people with interlocking arms that represent the core values and mission of the organization, its stability, growth and sustainability, emphasizing the AHRM’s commitment to helping its members and individuals thrive.

New programs for the year were also introduced including an additional category (Mabuhay HR Leader of the Year) for the 26th Mabuhay Awards which will be held on November 27 at the new Westin Manila. (Divine M. Recio)
