Dear colleague, In 2015 US$89.9m business deals were generated at The Hotel Show Dubai – which is just one of the many reasons why as a supplier, you need to be here. Continuous demand for hotel rooms, restaurants, cafes and entertainment for all budgets has driven the hub of the region, Dubai, to diversify its hotel stock. Midmarket hotels represented 44% of new developments entering the Dubai market in the final months of 2015. This included Dubai’s first Hilton Garden Inn hotels, currently the brand with the highest total number of projects underway in the Middle East and Africa, followed by other mid-range brands with major ongoing developments including Holiday Inn and Park Inn by Radisson. Not losing its appetite for luxury; some of Dubai’s most extravagant 5* resorts, boutique and designer offerings to date will enter the market in the coming years including the Palazzo Versace (2015), Bulgari Hotel (2017) and the major Dubai Pearl (2018) development set to feature Dubai’s first MGM Grand and Bellagio made famous by the Las Vegas strip. Dubai and the wider region is certainly more and more attractive to tourists whether for business, meetings, religion, medical or leisure. The pipeline of hotel and entertainment facility build across the Middle East and Africa currently stands at 872 projects, with 174 hotels opening on average each year. Therefore, in various stages of the buying cycle over the next 5 years and beyond. The Hotel Show Dubai, as the largest event across the region, has for 16 years provided key decision makers from major hotel, restaurant and leisure brands with a high quality meeting place. Suppliers from over 48 countries showcase a vast range of products from hospitality technology and security to interiors, furnishings, operating equipment, catering and foodservice supplies and equipment, commercial kitchens and bathrooms, FM, retail franchise, fixtures and fittings, lifts, escalators and services encompassing everything from design and build through to fit out and refurb. 24,720 hospitality professionals travel from across the globe to attend events, conferences and seminars where over 135 speakers take to the stage to share insight and knowledge, network at informal and formal gatherings, and meet over 650 exhibitors. For companies looking to inject some life into their order book, win contracts, launch their brand or product into the heart of the industry or reconfirm their position as a thought leader, The Hotel Show is the event for you. A world class global event, in what could be described as the leading hospitality hub. One thing is for sure, the hospitality industry in this region is strong, healthy and developing and the future looks very promising. I invite you to come to The Hotel Show Dubai and see for yourself.

With ambitious targets for 2020, an increasingly competitive marketplace targeting the global traveller and challenges to the international travel industry posed by currency devaluations in Asia and Europe, now more than ever we need to ensure we are focused on providing a compelling and always evolving destination offer. The leisure industry has a sizeable role to play and as we look towards next year when our offering will be significantly enhanced by the opening of a number of theme parks, it’s crucial that these big projects are complimented by continuous additions in other areas, always ensuring that there are more and more reasons to visit Dubai.
