Each country has different cultures, art, history, language, scenery and of course the all-important cuisine. With so much to give, it’s sometimes hard to figure out what to do first. We have designed these tours to ensure you experience the best of each wonderful region.

Day 2 Today you’ll take a walking tour of Sorrento and get to know this popular coastal town. Discover the old quarter with its maze of streets and local shops, Piazza Tasso and the stunning viewpoints throughout the town where you can admire the beautiful Bay of Naples.

Day 3 You’ll head to the imposing Mount Vesuvius this morning, whose ash buried unsuspecting nearby towns in the devastating eruption that took place in 79AD. You’ll be taken by coach to 1,000 metres high then ascend to the crater by foot where you’ll be greeted with panoramic views. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Pompeii where the expert guide will bring this ancient city to life.

Day 4 No visit to the Neapolitan Riviera will be complete without a trip to the glamorous isle of Capri. This stunning island is a jewel on the Neapolitan Riviera with stylish boutiques and fantastic views. After a short hydrofoil trip from Sorrento, you’ll head up the winding cliff side road to lofty Anacapri, admiring panoramic sea views from every hairpin bend.

In the afternoon you’ll be able to spend some time in Capri Town where you’ll find chic cafés and designer boutiques. Day 5 Today is at leisure to spend as you wish. Day 6 After breakfast, head off to explore the stunning towns of the Amalfi Coast with a trip along the world-famous Amalfi Drive. As the coach leaves Sorrento, you’re greeted with uninterrupted sea views along this winding cliff side road. You’ll enjoy a panoramic stop near Positano, whose white cubic houses and strong Moorish influences has made it one the most beautiful and recognisable towns on the Amalfi Coast. You’ll then reach Amalfi where you’ll have time to visit the cathedral before heading to Ravello for a visit to the famous Villa Rufolo. Day 7 Another free day gives you a chance to relax before heading home. Day 8 Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before you transfer to the airport for your return flight. Discover Puglia and Basilicata, the 'heel' of Italy's boot, and an unspoilt region of olive groves, hilltop towns and whitewashed villages. Most famous for its trulli, strange conical roofed houses, Puglia also has magnificent baroque architecture and a beautiful coastline. Day 1 Fly to Bari and transfer to your hotel. Unpack and take some time to relax before meeting your fellow travellers and tour guide. Day 2 This is a day to really soak up the atmosphere of Puglia, starting with a visit to the whitewashed town of Ostuni where you’ll be taken through the old town with its warren of pedestrianised streets hiding trattorias and shops selling local olive oil. This is followed by a drive through the countryside to taste some of the fine local wines of the region and see the centuries old tradition of olive oil making, for which Puglia is famous. Day 3 Today is dedicated to the nearby towns of the beautiful Valle d'Itria, an area famous for its unique landscape of conical trulli. Martina Franca is the region’s largest town and boasts splendid piazzas and tree-lined lanes, Alberobello has earnt a UNESCO World Heritage status for its concentration of trulli, many of which have been turned into bars and cafés, while Locorotondo has whitewashed cathedrals, narrow streets and superb countryside views. You’ll also enjoy a wine and food tasting while in Alberobello. Day 4 Enjoy a day at leisure to relax in your hotel or take the shuttle bus to visit the beautiful walled town of Ostuni. The shuttle can take up to 8 passengers and is subject to availability.

Day 5 Today is spent in the region of Basilicata to visit the fascinating town of Matera. Matera is known for its sassi, a cluster of cave dwellings that date back to prehistoric times and, until recently, inhabited by the town’s citizens. This unique town is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and was the European Capital of Culture in 2019. In Italy each region boasts its own traditional bread, and Matera is no different. You'll have the chance to sample the bread yourself whilst you're here, with a focaccia tasting in a local bakery. Day 6 Today’s full-day excursion visits the charming seaside town of Otranto and its Norman cathedral, where the bones of 183 martyrs are displayed. You’ll also enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful city of Lecce, famous for its flamboyant, baroque architecture and known as ‘the Florence of the South’. Day 7 Another day at leisure to relax and unwind and enjoy the hotel's facilities. Day 8 Say arrivederci to Puglia as you transfer to the airport for your return flight. Day 2 Today you’ll head to the lagoon city of Venice and the colourful island of Burano, a picturesque town famed for its lace making. The day continues into the evening as you cross over to the nearby Island of Mazzorbo to enjoy wine tasting at the Venissa Wine Estate. Day 3 Head to the Jewish Ghetto area of Venice and discover the city’s rich history away from the crowds of St. Mark’s Square. Visit the Squaro, the ancient place where traditional Venetian boats are built and repaired.

Day 1 Fly to Venice airport where you’ll meet your tour manager and be transferred to your hotel.

Day 4 A high-speed railway journey will bring you to Florence. Day 5 Today you’ll be taken on a culinary adventure around the city of Florence. Begin at the Mercato Centrale to sample Florentine salami, pecorino cheese from Pienza and fresh bread baked in a wood burning stove. The tour will lead you through the heart of the city where you can marvel at the stunning architecture, elegant boutiques and gourmet restaurants. Later on you’ll be immersed in the aromatic world of Florentine perfumery as you visit the 15th century palazzo of Lorenzo Villoresi, an artisan perfumer.

Day 6 Soak up the stunning landscape of the Chianti wine region whilst tasting the wines of the region. For lunch you’ll stop at a famous Italian butchers and enjoy a Sicily traditional fresh Tuscan bread and spicy meat ragu. Day 7 Travel to Rome by train and arrive in your hotel for an evening meal. Day 8 Explore the magical Vatican City where you’ll meet your knowledgeable local guide for a tour around the museums and Basilica. What better way to explore parts of the city than on foot? Enjoy a walking tour around the trendy Trastevere district of Rome before a local dinner. Day 9 Rome is known for its fantastic art and architecture. Day 6 The journey continues towards the Varese region and on the way you’ll stop in Bergamo. Explore the upper part of the town, Città Alta, with its maze of medieval streets. Day 7 Lake Maggoire retains the feel of the ‘Golden Age’ with its stunning villas and carefully manicured botanical gardens.

Start your day in Stresa, where you can take in fantastic views of the lake. Hop aboard a boat to set sail to the Borromean islands, stopping off to visit the 17th century Palazzo Borromeo and its surrounding gardens. Day 8 Today you’ll visit Lake Como. Its meandering shoreline is surrounded by steep forested banks, dotted with beautiful villages. Stroll along Como’s waterfront promenade and visit the striking Gothic Cathedral where your local guide will give you an insight into its history and the works of art. Day 1 Fly to Bologna where you will transfer to your hotel. Once you’ve settled in, you can join your fellow travellers and tour guide. Day 2 Today you’ll learn the history behind Italy’s most loved foods – parmesan and parma ham. See how they're created and help yourself to some delicious samples before a spot of lunch. After lunch, embark on a walking tour of Bologna itself. As well as ‘The Fat’, this city is also known as ‘The Red’ for its terracotta rooftops. Day 3 Today you’ll visit Florence, the city renowned for its Renaissance art and baroque architecture. Your tour guide will lead you through the streets, piazzas and the various districts of this vast medieval city. Day 4 After breakfast, your tour guide will take you out to the town of Orvieto, one of the most dramatically positioned towns in Umbria. A cable car will take you to the top of the town where you’ll be rewarded with unparalleled views of the Umbrian countryside. After lunch in a local restaurant, you'll head to a nearby winery where you can sample the region’s finest wines.

Day 5 A highlight for those with a sweet tooth, today brings with it a trip to Perugia’s chocolate factory. Your tour guide will then lead you through the lanes of the city taking in such sights as the incredible Fontana Maggiore, Cattedrale di San Lorenzo and National Gallery. After lunch, you will travel to the birthplace of St Francis, the quaint hilltop town of Assisi.

Day 6 On today’s horizon is the town of Urbino, a walled city in the heart of Umbria. The morning offers tours of the spectacular Palazzo Ducale, built in the 15th century and home to secretive hallways which served as the former haunts of Renaissance artists such as Federico Barocci and Raphael. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and, season permitting, local truffles will be included.

Day 7 This morning enjoy a cookery class and learn the traditional tricks of cooking Italy’s famous dishes. After enjoying the fruits of your labours, the afternoon will be spent exploring the San Marino Republic, known as the fifth smallest country in the world. Sicily bursts with cultural treasures, delicious cuisine, architectural gems and dramatic landscapes. This escorted tour will take you on a journey around the island through the ancient towns, stunning archaeological sites and natural wonders. Day 1 Fly to Catania airport and transfer to your hotel in Syracuse. Day 2 Your first full day will be spent exploring the beautiful ancient town of Ortigia, with its archaeological sites, Greek Theatre and Roman Amphitheatre. Next you’ll head to the harbour where you’ll see the city from a completely different perspective as you take a boat trip around the bay of Syracuse. Day 5 Palermo is at the crossroads of the Mediterranean and as a result you’ll notice the many different cultural influences, from the architecture to the food. Today you’ll gain an insight into this beautiful city and the ancient world it was once part of.

Take a break from sight-seeing and enjoy a light lunch sampling some of the delicious snacks on offer in the city. Day 6 This morning the tour will continue on to the picturesque fishing port of Cefalù. The impressive Norman Cathedral is a sight to behold with its fort-like structure and elaborate Byzantine mosaics. Here you’ll have time to explore the buzzing squares and streets of the medieval town, before heading on to Acireale. Day 7 Go on an adventure to Europe’s largest and most active volcano, Mount Etna. Today you’ll drive through the ever changing landscapes up to the volcanic lunar scape of Etna. In the afternoon you’ll head to the hilltop town of Taormina. Day 2 After a hearty breakfast, head into the glamorous seaside town of Porto Cervo built in the 60’s by the Aga Kahn. Admire the interesting architecture and browse the high-end shops. In the afternoon, head to the Santa Teresa di Gallura region at the northern tip of Sardinia. Here you’ll uncover the historical heritage of Sardinia the scenic coastline of Capo Testa, known for its smooth granite rock formations. Day 3 Today you’ll catch the ferry across to the French island of Corsica (approx. 50 minutes). Whilst on board enjoy the stunning views across the glistening blue water, as you head towards the port of Bonifacio. Weave through the narrow streets, uncover the history, and soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant town.

Day 4 This morning the tour will take you to visit another of Sardinia’s idyllic islands, Isola Maddalena. Once you’re here you’ll feel like you have landed on the shores of the Caribbean, with its crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. Day 5 Head away from the coast and further inland to the picturesque village of Aggius.

The town is famed for its traditional crafts and you’ll get to learn about the ancient techniques used with a visit to the local cork museum. Later in the afternoon, the trip will carry on toward your hotel near Alghero. Day 6 Alghero is famed for its medieval citadel and cobbled streets. In the morning you’ll have the chance to explore this historic town. Enter through the 14th century gates and take in the town’s fascinating sights. The town is filled with small cafés and bars so you’ll have plenty of spots to choose from for a light lunch (payable locally). In the afternoon, you’ll head to see the impressive limestone cliffs of Capo Caccia. Day 7 In the morning, you’ll have free time to relax before heading to the beautiful town of Bosa. Day 3 Today you’ll visit the medieval city of Assisi for a tour and some free time for lunch before going to the Tenuta Lunelli Il Carapace Wine Estate. The fascinating domed building was designed by Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro as the first sculpture in which wine is produced. It is a tribute to the great wines of Umbria Sagrantino and Rosso di Montefalco. Day 4 Tuscany’s Chianti wine region has been producing wine since the early middle ages and is renowned for its excellent quality. Today you’ll visit two different estates where the producers will tell you their stories, methods of production, and the philosophy that is behind every bottle. Day 5 Today begins with an optional excursion to take part in a truly unforgettable experience to hear the Benedictine monks early morning Gregorian Chants (approx. £65 per person).

Those that prefer a lie in will meet the group later for a guided visit of the stunning Abbey of Mote Oliveto Maggoire. The rest of the day will be dedicated to art, food and wine as you head to the town of Pienza and a wine estate in Montalcino – land of the Brunello! Day 6 The Frescobaldi Castiglioni wine estate extends along the ancient Via di Castiglioni, built by the Romans to unify northern Tuscany and Rome. Day 6 A scenic drive across the magical Gauler Mountains brings you to Hotel Alexandra in Loen, boasting a wonderful pool and spa facilities and overlooking the fjord. This is the day to have your camera at the ready, there will be several photo opportunities including a stop at the Gaulerfjellet viewing platform. Arriving in Loen mid-afternoon, there is time to take a stroll around the village before dinner.

Days 7-8 Loen enjoys a spectacular location ‘where the fjords and glaciers meet’ and there are some fantastic opportunities to marvel at some of nature’s wonders including the Kjenndal and Briksdal glaciers (organise locally). Views from the top of the Loen Skylift are spectacular and walking can also be enjoyed at the top (bring suitable walking shoes). Day 9 A scenic transfer to the vibrant Art Nouvea city of Ǻlesund. In 2020, the town of Überlingen will host a regional garden show for the first time, showcasing new gardens and flower shows throughout the summer. Day 1 Fly to Zurich and transfer by train to Constance (1½ hours). A car will be waiting to pick you up at Constance station to transfer you to your hotel. Day 2 Enjoy a short guided tour of Constance Old Town followed by a scenic boat trip to Meersburg for the chance to visit the Old Castle, as well as the New Castle with its vineyards. Day 2 After breakfast, head straight to the Golden Circle to enjoy some of Iceland’s most popular attractions. Day 4 From black sands to glistening glaciers, today you’ll explore the Vatnajokull National Park. Cross Eldhaun, the largest mass of lava to ever flow on Earth, and enjoy a visit to the small town of Kirkjubaejarklaustur, the former site of a 12th century Catholic convent. Head towards Skaftafell, a stunning glacier-ringed valley then finish your day at the Fjallsarlon Ice Lagoon to witness floating icebergs. Day 5 Cameras at the ready! Visit the Geysir hot spring area to see the famous Strokkur, a hot spring which sprouts every few minutes then continue onwards to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls. The bus then continues to Thingvellir National Park, a meet point of parliament during the Viking-ages and also the European and North American tectonic plates. Return to Reykjavik where it is time to say goodbye to your tour guide. Day 6 Today you will have your own time to explore the city, before departing for the airport on the FlyBus. Day 3 After a journey to North Iceland, take to the sea and enjoy sea angling in Eykafjorour plus if you're lucky enough witness majestic whales in the wild! The rest of the day is in Akureyri, known as Iceland's second capital, before moving onto the fishing village of Húsavik. Day 4 Goðafoss is also known as the waterfall of the Gods, and all will become clear when you see it. Spend the afternoon exploring the volcanic Lake Mývatn and finish the day with a relaxing soak in the geothermal Mývatn Baths. Day 5 Start the day by visiting Krafla and the geothermal area of Námaskarð, with its boiling mud pools. Continue to the spectacular Dettifoss, which is the most powerful waterfall in Europe. Then travel along the Jökuldalur valley reaching the fertile region of Fljótsdalshérað.

Day 6 Driving through green valleys, over mountains and along dramatic fjords you will soon arrive at Vatnajökull. Then onto the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón where you will sail around the floating icebergs. Day 7 Spend the morning exploring Vatnajökull National Park, here you can spot Hvannadalshnjúkur the highest mountain in Iceland and the Öræfajökull volcanic glacier. Witness the largest lava flow in the world, Eldhraun, and then Reynisfjara where basalt columns line the shore of the infamous black sand lava beach. Next stop is the incredible Skógafoss waterfall, and the waterfall of Seljalandsfoss. Travel along the Eyjafjallajökull glacier and volcano. Day 8 Your day will start with a visit to the Friðheimar farm to learn about Icelandic horses. Travelling along the Golden Circle for the rest of the day witness the three most famous natural sites; the Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and Þingvellir National Park. Day 1 Fly into Keflavik airport and collect the car straight away to start your journey. Drive towards the geothermal village of Hveragerdi, along the Reykjanes peninsula. Day 2 Start the day with a trip to the Gullfoss waterfall which is one of the most iconic in the country, before visiting the hot spring area of Geysir where Strokkur is likely to erupt for you. The next visits of the day are to the grand Seljalandsfoss and the Skogafoss waterfalls. Finally visit Dyrholaey, the famous black lava arch is here as well as many puffins (the cliffs are closed during nesting season, mid-May to late June). Day 3 Today will be spent exploring Skaftafell National Park. This national park has a unique location between two glaciers, Skaftafellsjökull and Svínafellsjökull, with hiking, walking and photo opportunities. Continuing on to the glistening Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon. Next to the lagoon is the magical ‘Diamond Beach’ where the icebergs have washed onto the black sanded shore. Day 4 Take a beautifully scenic drive to Thingvellir National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Continue to drive along the Borgarfjordur fjord to visit the historical Reykholt. In this area there is the 900 metre wide waterfall of Hraunfossar and the serene Barnafossar waterfall.

Why not finish the day with a visit to Deildartunguhver - Europe's highest flowing hot spring? Day 5 Drive around the Snaefellsnes peninsula and take in the ever changing dramatic scenery. Visit Arnarstapi sea cliffs for the varied birdlife and then step onto a black lava pearl beach at the fishing bay of Djupalonssandur. Drive to Stykkisholmur for a boat tour, approx. 2 hours, where you can admire birdlife along with sea life. There will be the opportunity to view the sea life and taste the fresh shellfish on board the boat. Day 6 Travel to Reykjanes peninsula to reach Lake Kleifarvatn and Krysuvik Geothermal Area, with mud pools, hot springs and sulphur deposits around the green, yellow and red coloured banks. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the worldrenowned Blue Lagoon (pre-book).
