With a classic Thai costume theme, the evening began at 5:30 with a cocktail and hors d’oeuvre garden party for the car owners, media and guests. Dr. Prachin owns many classic cars but behind his most precious car is the story of love for his wife. He bought his wife Rujiroj, a classic 1952 Silver Bronze Rolls ZŽLJĐĞ͕ ^ŝůǀĞƌ ĂǁŶ͘ dŚĞ ĐĂƌ ǁĂƐ ĮƌƐƚ owned by Gen. Chao Phraya Ram Rakop (ML Fua Phungbun) who imported it from the United Kingdom in 1975. Chao Phraya Ram Rakop is also the grandfather ŽĨ WƌĂĐŚŝŶ͛Ɛ ǁŝĨĞ͘ tŝƚŚ ƟŵĞ͕ ƚŚĞ ĐĂƌ ǁĂƐ sold on to others. Knowing that his wife had fond memories of the car he looked all over to bring it back. When he heard someone was selling a 1952 Rolls Royce Silver Dawn that belonged to Chao Phraya Ram Rakop, he bought it right away. He brought it back to life with red velvet seats and repainted the body black, so his wife could drive it in style. They usually drive to Hua Hin in their leisure ƟŵĞ͘ ͞dŚŝƐ ĐĂƌ ŝƐ Ă ŐŝŌ ĨŽƌ ŵLJ ǁŝĨĞ͘ /ƚ͛Ɛ the statement of my love for her. For many years Marlie wished to do something for animals in need. And, ĂŌĞƌ ƐŚĞ ŵŽǀĞĚ ƚŽ dŚĂŝůĂŶĚ͕ ƐŚĞ ĚĞĐŝĚĞĚ to make her wish come true. Daily, around 150 dogs are visited by Marlie and volunteers in and around a temple complex in Hua Hin and given the ŶĞĐĞƐƐĂƌLJ ĨŽŽĚ͕ ŵĞĚŝĐĂƟŽŶ ĂŶĚ ƐƚĞƌŝůŝnjŝŶŐ by vets.
