Biceps! Build Those
By Tom Bonanti No muscle group or body part seems to garner more attention than a bulging pair of biceps. Although triceps make up most of the mass of your upper arms, about 75%, it's the biceps most people refer to when they admire “a great set of guns. In actuality, they may be the smallest muscle group of the upper body, but they can make a mighty impression whether you're wearing a tank, tee or nothing at all! For maintenance, work biceps once a week for 20 minutes or so using an array of arm curls. To increase size and perfect your shape, work them out twice to three times a week for
the same amount of time. Make sure to give your biceps 48 to 72 hours rest between workouts. Here are my four favorite exercises for building, shaping and fortifying your biceps. Do three sets of eight to twelve reps of each exercise and make sure to stretch between exercises and sets.
1. Cable Curls: These are a nice alternative to barbells and dumbbells. Attach a straight bar to the lower cable assembly and grasp the bar with a medium-width, underhanded grip. Stand upright with the arms straight and the

Your elbows should remain close to your sides. Lower the weight in a controlled manner to starting position. Perform 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps and lex those guns! 2. Standing Dumbbell Curls: Here's a way to isolate each bicep. Stand upright, holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides in a palmsin grip. Keep the upper arms motionless as you bend the elbows and curl the weights upward turning the hands so that the wrists face the shoulders at the top. Pause, squeeze and lower back down twisting to the palms-in position. Perform 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps and feel the burn!
4. Incline Dumbell Curls: Sit on a bench at a 45 degree incline. Keep your back straight, feet lat on the loor and arms at your side. Curl the dumbbell by lexing arms toward the shoulders. (You can do single alternating arms as well.) Slowly lower dumbbells in a controlled motion until your arm is extended. Perform 3-4 set of 8-12 reps. Make sure when you do dumbbell curls, especially, that you do not swing the weights too much. Remember to keep proper form and execute each rep in a controlled and calculated manner. Good luck with your workouts and remember to be consistent and patient, but don't be afraid to push and challenge yourself! Contact me at: trainertomb@aol.com with questions anytime! Win the Battle Against Daily Fatigue
By Tom Bonanti With 2021 underway and more than a few good things to look forward to this year, it is time to reassess some vital issues concerning your health. Let's start with something basic like why you are always so tired. It may seem obvious but getting too little sleep at night can leave you feeling depleted, irritable, and unable to concentrate. In addition, poor sleep can aect your heart, make you gain weight, and cause depression. Make sleep a priority at night by sticking to a regular schedule. Eliminate noise and distractions before retiring and try not to eat 2-3 hours before bedtime. Aim for 8-10 uninterrupted hours of ZZ's. Very simply, you may experience fatigue during
the day because you are dehydrated. The body is composed largely of water and requires it to function properly each day. Sometimes fatigue and even hunger pangs
are just signs that your body needs water. Go for 8-10 large glasses of water each day and start chugging it the moment you wake up every morning.
Sure, not eating enough can cause fatigue, but eating the wrong stu is just as bad. Fast foods and junk, too much caeine, and excessive amounts of sugar during the day will leave you feeling jittery, exhausted, and fat. Begin each day with a healthy breakfast and continue to feed your body throughout the day (5-6 times) with smaller meals and snacks. Consume lean protein (chicken, ish, eggs, low-fat dairy), low glycemic index, iber dense carbohydrates (whole grains, veggies, and fruit), and steer clear of processed foods and trans-fats. Often you may feel fatigue because
you are not active enough. A sedentary lifestyle can cause all kinds of problems for the human body. Poor circulation, type 2 diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and depression are but a few of the symptoms of not getting enough exercise. If you feel too tired to take a walk, too underwhelmed to make it to the gym, maybe you just need to get up and do it! After the irst 10 minutes or so, you'll get acclimated and into the groove. Make exercise a regular priority and you'll sleep well at night and have plenty of vim and vigor during the day. If you have tried all of the above suggestions, but still feel overwhelming fatigue that lasts longer than a week, don't hesitate to see your doctor. You may be struggling with
food allergies, sleep apnea, anemia, an under active thyroid (hypothyroidism), early onset of type 2 diabetes, or clinical depression. Not to worry! If detected early enough and with a few lifestyle adjustments, most of these conditions are rarely lifethreatening. This year will be better than last year, and you can start it by taking control of your own health. Leave the lofty, unrealistic resolutions behind and make it simple- make it happen by eating better, getting more sleep, worrying less and becoming more active!

Guess what pandemic The Second Wave will be about
Selena Gomez is going to climb every Mountain One of this year's TV pleasures has been watching a homebound Selena Gomez earnestly trying to learn to cook via Zoom calls with various famous chefs on her HBO Max series Selena + Chef. We had no idea that in between mastering the mechanics of a proper French omelette she was negotiating new deals for herself, but coming soon(ish) she'll take
on the role of real-life lesbian mountain climber Silvia Vá squez-Lavado. Writer-director Elgin James (Little Birds) will adapt Vá squez-Lavado's memoir, In the Shadow of the Mountain, as a starring vehicle of Gomez (whose casting got a nod of approval from the queer Peruvian climber herself). Vá squez-Lavado not only climbed Mount
Queer screen darling Taylor Schilling (Orange is The New Black) is back for an upcoming limited series from Michelle and Robert King (The Good Wife, The Good Fight). It's called The Second Wave, and it's about two neighbors, played by Schilling and Audra McDonald, who find themselves locked down again in New York City when an unexpected second wave of the coronavirus breaks out. The women are forced to handle their lives and jobs from the confined space of their apartments, while contending with an even more deadly version of the virus, one that may spell the end of humanity itself. The six-episode series will co-star Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), Steven Pasquale (The Good Wife) and Hamilton's Phillipa Soo, and with vaccines currently rolling out, maybe by the time this series hits your TV screen, it'll have the retro feeling of scary science fiction that can't possibly happen again. Fingers crossed!
Billy Porter will rock your New Year's Eve
Billy Porter loves to work. We recently reported that
sometime in 2021, but in the meantime he's going to command the ball to drop in New York City's Times Square on December 31. That's when he'll join Ryan Seacrest and Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale as a cohost of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020. The broadcast will be officially closed to the public this year due to COVID-19 (of course, an official closing didn't stop crowds from gathering on sidewalks for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but there's no telling people anything these days), and it's assumed that the three hosts will be separated in various locations, introducing musical acts as well as other celebrities. Porter will make it worth staying up to witness.
Guardians of The Galaxy hero StarLord is bisexual and polyamorous. Now what? This isn't an announcement, really, even though it is. And it hasn't made an official impact

he'll be directing the high school trans coming-of-age film What If ?, and Pose is due to return for a third season
on the films that draw inspiration from Marvel Comics canon. But Guardians of the Galaxy protagonist StarLord has been revealed to be both bisexual and polyamorous in the ongoing comic book series. This is both a very significant development and, annoyingly, possibly not going to matter at all when it comes to the film adaptations. That's because Star-Lord is played in the films by Chris Pratt, an actor who has always been quietly friendly to the LGBTQ+ community, but whose recent surge of public religious devotion has made the prospect of him playing a bisexual space hero somewhat unlikely, given his association
with an anti-queer church. The Guardians film franchise continues, of course, and not everything canon in the source material finds its way into comic book-based films, but if queer fans were to consider lobbying hard for a little inclusion, now would be the time to start. And while we're waiting for some official Pratt reaction, here's what we'd like for starters: some cuddling with Drax. We're pretty certain that the perpetually shirtless Dave Bautista would be up for that. Romeo San Vicente is giving to his local food bank and wants you to do the same.
A Threesome Remedy For Our Times Social Distance stars talk COVID-era series and pandemic dating
Photo: Net ix
By Chris Azzopardi
File this under 2020's “Content We Lived” category: Social Distance, Net lix's anthology series completely conceived, cast and shot in quarantine. Tucked into the show's eight episodes is “Zero Feet Away,” which follows a gay couple suffering from cabin fever who give a threesome a shot after they've had enough of each other. “Zero Feet Away” stars Max Jenkins, who has a part on Dead to Me as Christina Applegate's gay real-estate partner; Brian Jordan Alvarez, who portrays Jack's husband, Estefan, on Will &
Grace, and Mozart in the Jungle star Peter Vack. They talked about their longtime friendship, ilming during a pandemic and Funfetti.
Did you guys know each other beforehand? Had you crossed paths? Brian Jordan Alvarez: Very much so. Peter Vack: Max and I's friendship goes back to childhood. We went to performing arts summer camp together, and then
Brian and I met and became basically best friends our freshman year of college. Alvarez: When he met me he told me, “You should meet my friend Max, you would like him,” and it turned out to be true. We've all become friends now. Vack: I just want to underscore that these two are two of the people I love most in the world as friends. So often the job with acting is to become very close and intimate with people immediately; with this, it really felt like a party from moment one. It really was like a summer camp vibe. I think that is in part due to the fact that they allowed friends and, in fact, sought out friends to do this or people that had these deep, decades-long connections. Was the script set? Alvarez: It was set, we had nothing to do with it. It was a totally wonderfully written piece that was just given to us. They were great about – sorry, am I bulldozing? Max Jenkins: Shut up. Just talk. I love hearing you talk. Alvarez: They were really generous, which always helps me in letting us improv. We also had a lot of freedom to just say the line slightly differently or improv. It was just cool to have that freedom.
Max, did you improv the line “zhuzh my crack”? Jenkins: I can't believe they used that! You know, that was the moment that we really hit on something beautiful. I thought it was “zhuzh my taint.” Alvarez: That might've been a different take. Jenkins: Yeah. The director's cut has “zhuzh my taint,” I believe. (Everyone laughs.) Did you actually shoot on April
17, the day the episode says it took place? Alvarez: No, no. I was gonna say it was funny that Peter called it summer camp because we were calling it that when we were doing it, but I don't think we realized that it was also the dead middle of summer. Jenkins: The solstice. Alvarez: (Laughs.) It was like literally, what, mid July? Vack: I now have some handle on it because I'm back in New York and it gets cold, but in L.A. with the coronavirus it was all one month. Jenkins: That's why this experience was like, “before this and after this”; that was my only milestone. Alvarez: Right, that's true! Jenkins: And we're so lucky that we had this gift of breaking out of our quarantine, you know? And also, I'm working now and
everybody is so scared on Special; everyone's freaked out and it's like, girl, I ripped the BandAid off in July. We already did this, and it was a blast, and everybody is kind of more focused, so I feel very at ease working with all these stipulations and with all the PPE.
Peter, when you come over with a mask on in the episode, that's now the reality for dating and hooking up. Did that speak to you on a personal level as much as it spoke to me? Vack: Oh, totally. I have been both single and partnered in this experience and, yeah, it totally felt like… it's hard to even articulate. There's new rules now, I guess. And I am something of a hypochondriac, so that was very easy to tap into. Jenkins: For me, I tend to be single. (Laughs.) I haven't really attacked it consciously, like this new challenge of dating. It's been more (like) if I'm truly obsessed with the idea of this person, I might hang out with them. There are so many more gates for my psyche to go through (laughs), and my psyche does not tend to clear those gates; therefore, there are few prospects.
So no virtual pandemic dating for you? Jenkins: Well, I have been doing quite a bit of that, but it tends to be boring. There's not so much going on in people's lives, there's not so much to catch each other up on. I ind it just not…
it's a facsimile of getting to know someone. It's like we're all doing performances of being chill and being our normal selves. That's just my experience. Alvarez: Yeah, I was doing a lot more FaceTiming than ever. Jenkins: I can't get down. I just (don't) feel like I'm really getting to know someone. Alvarez: I guess I haven't done any real formal dates, but I have FaceTimed with people, you know, in maybe a more romantic way. (Laughs.) And yeah, it's de initely not as good as the real thing. (Laughs.) But yeah, I think after the lonesomeness set in after a while, FaceTime was really able to quell that in a way that just staring at my wall could not. Jenkins: At irst I felt so sorry for myself. And I was like, “My friends who are partnered don't understand and they need to be checking in on me more!” Then I started to feel even worse for them than for myself, which I guess is what our episode is sort of about, a little bit: the challenge of that. Because I started to see them jumping out of their skins. (Laughs.) I started to see my partnered friends freaking the fuck out. Alvarez: I prefer the solitude to being bottled up with one other person. Jenkins: Yeah. I'm already traumatized
that I have to share my space with…. him. (He pans the camera to his dog, Rock.)
Since you had a rapport, I imagine the threesome, when you actually get down to it, was very giggle-worthy. I was in stitches watching you guys. Was it even more hysterical actually doing it? Jenkins: It was so normal, so oddly second nature. Vack: Yeah. Alvarez: It felt a lot like doing a play in the best ways. Because it's very physical comedy, almost farcical. Jenkins: It's true. Typically the crew is not laughing at you, so you have this kind of unresponsive audience. But in our case we were making ourselves laugh, so we didn't give a fuck about anything but what each other was saying about it. Vack: It just felt like effortless fun. And I agree: The fact that it was just us there, it was giddy. It was just pure pleasure, top to bottom. How long did it take to shoot? Jenkins: A week. We had a week of isolating in the hotel prior to shooting.
Did you use that time in the hotel to rehearse, or just screw around? Jenkins: We weren't allowed to see each other.
Vack: We'd be, like, on the balcony, far apart. Jenkins: With our masks. I thought that they would've made you a pod and put you all in a hotel room together. Jenkins: We agreed that the pod thing could've worked, but they were determined to divide and conquer us any possible way. It was like every precaution you could think of. There was no precaution too sillyseeming. (Laughs.) We had to gargle mouthwash before every kiss.
Is there anything about the episode you'd like to spotlight that happened behind the scenes? Alvarez: We had like 30 jars of Funfetti. (Everyone laughs.) Because in ilmmaking if you're going to do a lot of takes, you also have to have options. Jenkins: And on the irst take I was just eating heaping spoonful's and my body started to shut down pretty quickly. I mean, talk about coronavirus. This interview has been condensed and edited for clarity.

Mr. Man Announces
Top 10 Nude Scenes of 2020 8
9
10
The COVID-19 pandemic may have walloped the ilm and TV industries, closing cinemas and forcing many movies direct to digital, but there was an upside to the year. Or more like a back and front side… 2020 saw more nudity in ilm than ever before! It wasn't only the female kind, either, as a greater number of male actors chose to bare their bodies, too. SNL's Andy Samberg and Nicholas Hoult (best known as the adorable Marcus Brewer in the romantic comedy About a Boy), showed their hams in 2020 with Samberg running through the desert in Palm Springs and Hoult brazenly parading through the palace in The Great. Several men of color stripped from their skivvies, including
Samson Ajewole in the HBO series I May Destroy You and Daniel Kaluuya in Queen & Slim. Some actors even dared to free willy it in 2020! Tom Mercier went full frontal in We Are Who We Are, as did Italian stallion Michele Morrone in 365 Days, Matt Bomer in Boys in the Band and Paul Mescal in Normal People. It wasn't so long ago when a naked man in a mainstream studio ilm risked the ilm being classi ied as pornography. When the director of the classic 1982 teen movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High wanted to match the numerous female nude scenes with a male one, she was told it would earn the ilm an X rating. “Thankfully, Hollywood has made a lot of progress since then,” says Phil Henricks of Mr. Man, the world's leading online library of every male nude scene in the history of ilm and television. “Not only is male nudity more prevalent in 2020, it is salacious.” In The Prince, Juan Carlos Maldonado and three friends strip nude in the woods

and then roll around in mud, giving viewers a full minute of eye-catching nudity. In PValley, Dan J. Johnson dazzles in a BDSM scene, laying naked on a cloud bed with chains holding him down. “We had a hard time narrowing this year's scenes down to ten, Henricks adds. Mr. Man's Top 10 Nude Scenes of 2020 were chosen by Mr. Man's editorial, production and marketing teams. The winning male actors, in numerical order, are:
