BACK TO SCHOOL - FAVORITE PINS
Gift For Teacher
On the first day of a new school year, it’s customary to give your child’s teacher a gift, usually an apple. Why not turn this classic gesture into something a bit more practical? As someone from a family of teachers, I believe this to be a very practical and thoughtful gift. (No one knows cold and flu season like an elementary school Teacher.)

Homework Station As your kids head back to school, you’re bound to start seeing those familiar homework assignments falling out of their backpacks behind them. Having a specifically designated homework station can make those assignments and projects a little less daunting, and maybe even a bit more fun. Not to mention, it gives your kids a quiet area to focus, with all their supplies at hand - hopefully preventing some of those easily found distractions. We rate this idea an A+. pinterest.com/pin/239394536415866614
Another Gift For Teacher I found this funnier than I should have.. maybe save this one for the last day of school. Disclaimer: May not be found funny by all teachers. If your child’s teacher seems more on the no nonsense side, we suggest sticking with an apple. pinterest.com/pin/188236459397841147

The Power of a Positive Attitude
A balanced diet, exercise, genetics, and even certain medications can work in concert to make a person healthy. But a person’s demeanor also can factor into personal health. The Mayo Clinic says that whether or not a person is an optimist or a pessimist can affect many areas of his or her health and well-being, and those who see the glass as half-full may ultimately be healthier than those who see it as half-empty.
down on a real-time brain scan as they switched from negative thoughts to happy ones. Researchers are unsure why positive thinking has such profound effects. But in addition to limiting stressreleasing hormones, positive thinking may inspire people to live healthier lifestyles that make them more likely to get routine physical activity and eat a healthy diet. the movie theater and find humor in everyday happenings. Identify areas that need change. Think about moments in life that may bring you down or inspire negative reactions. If work is problematic, figure out ways to make it better and work toward improving the situation. Be supportive of yourself. Consider what you would say to others and then treat yourself the same way. Would you be overly negative or derogatory toward a complete stranger? Probably not, and there is no reason to be harsh with yourself, either. Push negative thoughts away. Volunteer. One way to see the world in a more positive light is to help others who may be less fortunate than you. Volunteering not only helps others, but it also can help you put your own problems in perspective. Volunteering also helps you feel good about your efforts, which can translate into positive thinking.
Positive thinking can make it easier to manage stress. The body responds differently based on an individual’s mood, and it may produce stress hormones if a person’s outlook is negative. Such stress hormones can compromise the immune system, increase blood pressure and even reduce the body’s ability to burn fat effectively. Thinking negatively and being on edge also can increase a person’s risk for developing cardiovascular disease and aging prematurely. Conversely, maintaining a positive attitude can be good for your health. Studies have shown that thinking positively can lower rates of depression and anxiety, increase life expectancy and provide greater resistance to certain illnesses, such as the common cold. A 2012 preliminary study from researchers at Stanford University found that daughters of mothers suffering from depression were able to witness their own stress levels go
products or alcohol as a coping mechanism when dealing with elevated stress levels, and such people will not have to deal with the side effects that can come with these unhealthy behaviors. Becoming a more positive thinker can take a little effort for those without a natural inclination for optimism. But because positive thinking boasts such significant health benefits, men and women might want to try the following methods to embrace their optimistic side. Exercise. Start an exercise regimen, as physical activity naturally reduces stress and can improve mood. Embrace humor. Surround yourself with others who bring a smile to your face. Look for ways to laugh as much as possible. Rather than go out to dinner or a bar with friends, head to a comedy club. Choose comedies at
Think like a child. Take a cue from youngsters and find joy in the little things. Let children be the leaders in activities and mimic what they do. You just may find yourself laughing more and enjoying yourself. Being silly for a little while is one way to recapture the feelings of youth. Positive thinking is more than the subject matter of self-help books. It’s a viable way to improve personal health and live longer. Laughter is good medicine Laughter combined with positive thinking is a prescription for good health. Research shows laughter relaxes the entire body, relieving physical tension and stress for up to 45 minutes. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases infectionfighting antibodies. Endorphins that promote an overall sense of wellbeing and relieve pain can be released from a hearty bout of laughter. Furthermore, laughter can increase blood flow throughout the body, which protects against hypertension and heart attack.

High Road Healing Room MINISTRY
Testimony OF THE MONTH
August 2014
Thanking God for the Babies who we prayed for at the Healing room Ministry that have been Healed! Two year old boy is now off the “Watch List” at Denver hospital. His color is good, pink, gaining weight and walking. Baby girl Finnley doing great, she struggled at birth and was diagnosed with a hole in her heart, the latest doctor visit showed absolutely no more heart murmur. Another at risk pregnancy, grandmother received a prophetic word while baby was still at risk and unborn, that the baby would be, healthy, pink and robust. Baby girl was born with no complications after all and she was indeed that: very healthy, pink and robust. God reveals His glory. The Bible contains 18 categories of instances where the glory of God is mentioned, by far, the largest category is miracles and healings. God’s glory is connected 30 times to a demonstration of His power through the working of such wonders. Based on this fact, it would appear that the main way God reveals His glory is through signs, wonders and miracles. At the Healing Room ministry we continue to praise God as He glorifies His name in the earth. Come in and we will contend for YOU! Continually thanking Jesus and His use of the Healing Room ministry. Beat The Heat With Homemade Ice Cream Ice cream is synonymous with summer, when rising temperatures and vacations from school and work call for some refreshing celebration. Those who want to experiment with homemade ice cream may want to consider the following recipe for “Dulce de Leche Ice Cream” from Lou Seibert Pappas’ “Ice Creams and Sorbets” (Chronicle Books).
Dulce de Leche Ice Cream Makes about 1 quart 2 cups half-and-half or milk 4 large egg yolks 1/2 cup sugar 12 ounces butterscotch chips, divided 1 cup heavy whipping cream 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Prepare a large bowl or pan of ice water. In the top of a double boiler, heat the half-and-half over simmering water until steaming. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks until blended, then whisk in the sugar. Whisk in about half of the hot half-and-half and pour the yolk mixture into the pan of half-and-half. Stir with a silicone spatula or spoon and cook over simmering water for about 8 minutes. Stir in 1 cup of the chips and continue stirring until blended in and the custard coats the back of the spatula, about 2 minutes more. Immediately place the custard pan in the ice bath and stir the custard occasionally until it cools to room temperature. Transfer to a container and stir in the cream and vanilla. Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, about 3 hours. Freeze in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. When the ice cream is almost frozen, add the remaining 1 cup chips and churn until blended in, about 15 seconds more. Transfer to a container, cover and freeze until firm, about 2 hours.

Millions of students participate in online learning each year, and that number continues to grow, according to the Sloan Consortium. A growing number of colleges and universities now offer distance learning courses, and some students find it possible to complete their degrees without ever visiting campus. Online learning enables students to take classes according to their own schedules and complete coursework without having to commute to campus. This is particularly attractive to students who work full time or have families. Convenience is not the only reason to consider online education. According to a 2009 meta study from the United States Department of Education, students who took online courses performed better than those taking the same courses through traditional instruction. Students who mixed online learning with traditional classroom work performed even better.

Getting Ready For Kindergarten
Schools across the country are getting ready to once again open their doors and welcome new and returning students. The newest crop of kindergartners will be among the fresh faces roaming the hallways and classrooms, and parents can take steps to make this transition go more smoothly. Although many children attend preschool, kindergarten typically marks a child’s initial foray into formal education. It can be a time of wonder, new experiences and rapid educational growth. Kindergarten also can stimulate nerves and fears about the unexpected. Preparing children for kindergarten requires a little finesse to make this significant milestone in a kid’s life that much more special. Speak often about kindergarten. Talking openly and excitedly about kindergarten is one way to spur a child’s interest in school. As the first day of school approaches, bring it up in conversation and see how your youngster feels about kindergarten. Some children are anxious to begin this new chapter in their lives, while others are daunted by the prospect of starting school. Understanding how your child feels about kindergarten can help you more effectively deal with any apprehension he or she might have. Schedule a tour. Some schools have programs in place to introduce incoming kindergartners to the school and the curriculum. For others, you may have to request a visit to the school. Such visits can be helpful, especially if your child does not have an older sibling already in the school and is completely unfamiliar with the building. Sometimes just being able to see what the school and kindergarten classroom looks like
is aa enough to assuage fears. Start adjusting kids’ schedules. Summer vacation and pre-kindergarten life may be about retiring to bed late and waking up much later than the start of a typical school day. But such schedules are no longer realistic once kids begin school. Help kindergartners-to-be acclimate to their new schedules by gradually changing their bed times and wake times in the weeks leading up to the first day of school. Five-year-olds need between 10 and 12 hours of sleep each night. Let kids choose some school supplies. Encourage youngsters to join you as you shop for school supplies, which may excite kids about school and help them feel more actively involved. That new backpack or folder your child picked out can be a source of pride and a security blanket for the first few days of school. Encourage kids’ independence. A kindergarten teacher will be supportive and nurturing but will not be a substitute parent for the class. Children should be able to do certain things for themselves when entering kindergarten. Taking their jackets on and off, packing up their belongings, cleaning up toys and other supplies and following directions are just a few
things kids should be able to do on their own upon entering kindergarten. It may be tempting to do everything for your preschooler, but kids who are too dependent may struggle to acclimate to kindergarten. Encourage kids to spend time with their peers. Your child may benefit from spending time with other kids their age and sharing their expectations of kindergarten. Such dialogue can remove some of the unknown of starting school. Don’t pressure kids at the last minute. There is no way to cram when preparing for your kindergartner’s first day of school. Rushing through flash cards or quizzing kids on the alphabet may just make them nervous about the start of school. Make note of the similarities between preschool and kindergarten. Kindergarten may not be so different from preschool, and such familiarity can make the transition that much easier for youngsters. Some preschools mirror the curriculum of the local elementary school district, introducing students to the types of lessons they eventually will learn in kindergarten. Make note of these similarities in an effort to calm any jitters kids may have about starting school.

Home improvement projects have taken an environmentallyfriendly turn in recent years, as homeowners look to reduce their carbon footprints en route to improving their homes’ interior and exterior spaces. Such projects can range from large scale undertakings best left to professional contractors to smaller alterations that do-it-yourselfers can handle in a typical weekend. Larger projects might make the biggest impact, but even small efforts to make a home more ecofriendly can benefit the planet significantly over time. The following are a handful of simple DIY home improvement projects that can benefit the planet. Install low-flow water fixtures. According to the National Resources Defense Council, installing low-flow water fixtures in a home saves both water and money. Low-flow water fixtures include toilets, shower heads and faucets, and the NRDC notes that such additions typically repay a homeowner’s initial investment in less than a year thanks to lower
utility bills. A low-flow toilet is one that uses 1.6 gallons of water per flush or less, while low-flow faucets and showers are those that use 2.5 gallons of water per minute or less. Install weather stripping. Weather stripping is a great way to reduce energy consumption while getting the most bang for your energy buck. Weather stripping is installed around windows and doors to seal any cracks or holes that develop over time. Such holes and cracks are more common in older homes, which is one reason that heating and cooling costs in such homes tend to be so much more expensive than those in newer homes. To determine if you need weather stripping, simply feel for drafts near doors and windows. If there is no wind or cold air outside, then place a fan or ask someone to hold a hair dryer near suspect doors and windows while you stand on the other side, feeling areas where you think there may be drafts.
Page 23
Paint with a purpose. Fall is a great time of year to paint around the house, as the weather outside is pleasant enough to open windows in the home so it can air out during and after the painting. When choosing paints for your home, opt for low-VOC, or volatile organic compound, paints. VOCs are a principal ingredient of ground-level ozone, which contributes to urban smog. VOCs also pose a considerable health risk, as studies have linked them to cancer, eye and throat irritation, headaches, and damage to the liver and nervous system. Replace old light bulbs with compact fluorescent lights. Thought replacing traditional incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescents lights, or CFLs, is an easy task, that does not mean it’s ineffective. According to the NRDC, CFLs use just one-quarter the energy of incandescent alternatives. In addition, CFLs last longer, saving homeowners the inconvenience of replacing bulbs.

Transition Kids Back To The Classroom The dawn of a new school year is an exciting time. Kids may not want to say goodbye to days spent lounging by the pool, but such disappointment is often tempered by the pros-
structure into their kids’ lives to make the transition back to school go more smoothly. Plan morning activities so kids can readjust to waking up early each day. In addi-
pect of returning to school with friends. For parents, getting kids ready for a new school year is about more than updating their wardrobe or organizing carpools with fellow parents. Reacclimating kids to the routine of school after a relaxing summer is a significant undertaking, and the following are a handful of ways for parents to get a head start as the school year draws closer. Establish a routine over the last few weeks of summer. Summer vacations typically lack the structure of the school year, and that lack of structure can help kids unwind and make the most of the freedom that summer vacation provides. But as summer starts to wind down, parents can begin to reintroduce some
tion, serve breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same time you typically serve it during the school year so kids’ bodies can begin to readjust as well. Take kids along when shopping for school supplies. If you plan to buy your child a new computer or other supplies for the upcoming school year, take him or her along on your shopping trips. Kids who get to choose their supplies might be more excited about returning to school than those youngsters who are given what they need without offering their input. Monitor or assign summer reading. Many students are given summer reading lists to keep their minds sharp over the summer and prepare them for upcoming coursework. Parents should
monitor kids’ progress on such reading lists and even discuss the books with their kids when possible. Read the books along with them if you think it will help engage them. If kids were not assigned summer reading lists at the end of the school year, assign your own books, rewarding kids when they finish a new book. Kids who read throughout the summer may be more likely to start the school year off on the right foot than those who don’t crack a book all summer. Encourage kids to sign up for extracurricular activities. Many school-aged athletes get a head start on the new school year by trying out for sports teams. Such tryouts often commence a week or two before a school year is scheduled to begin, and this can help kids ease their way back into the school year. But even nonathletes can begin pursuing extracurricular activities before the first school bell of the year rings. Theater programs may begin auditions or encourage interested youngsters to attend orientation meetings before the dawn of the school year, and such sessions can be a great and pressure-free way for kids to ready themselves for a new school year. The arrival of a new school year can be both exciting and daunting. But parents can help their youngsters readjust to school in various ways after a relaxing summer.

The Basics Of Boosting Metabolism Men and women looking to shed a few pounds and keep those pounds off often look for ways to boost their metabolisms. Some may not know just what metabolism means, and though it is a complicated combination of processes, metabolism is perhaps best explained as the sum of those processes, each of which is instituted to convert food into energy. So it’s no surprise that so many people, especially men and women whose metabolisms have begun to slow down, want to boost their metabolism and turn that food into energy more quickly. Though metabolism is a collection of complicated processes, boosting metabolism can be rather easy. The following are a handful of ways to do so, which can help men and women reach their fitness goals. * Eat the right foods and eat more often. Many adults have been turned on to the concept of grazing, an approach to diet wherein adherents eat small portions of food every two to three hours instead of the more traditional three square meals per day. But grazing is only effective when men and women eat the right foods. Each small meal should still have nutritional value just as if it were a large meal. When eating smaller meals, include healthy sources of protein and fiber. Vegetables tend to be especially beneficial because they are high in fiber, a nondigestible carbohydrate that is hard for the body to break down. As the body works hard to break down fiber, it’s burning energy and boosting its metabolism along the way. Fish is another potentially beneficial food for those looking to boost their metabolisms, as studies have shown that the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oils increase the levels of fat-burning enzymes in the body while decreasing the body’s level of fat-storage enzymes. Eating more often benefits the body because doing so stimulates metabolism, reassuring the body
that food will be coming on a regular basis. When meals are skipped or there are long intervals between meals, the body reacts as if it might run out of food and begins to store fat. * Add some lean muscle. Lean muscle can boost metabolism, so a workout dominated by cardiovascular exercise won’t have as positive an impact on metabolism as one that includes a combination of weight training and aerobic exercise. When muscles are worked hard, the body needs to work hard to recover and rebuild those muscles, burning more calories and boosting metabolism as a result. * Don’t believe everything you read or hear. Suggestions abound as to ways to significantly improve metabolism. Unfortunately, many of these suggestions boost metabolism but not enough to help people lose weight, which is the ultimate goal of many people looking to boost their metabolisms. For example, green tea has its proponents who feel it can have a significant impact on metabolism thanks to EGCG, a compound found in the tea that has been proven to elevate metabolism. However, the impact of EGCG on boosting metabolism is negligible, and therefore won’t make much of
an impact on a person’s weight. The same can be said about capsaicin, an active component found in chili peppers that some feel boosts metabolism enough to promote weight loss. Though capsaicin can boost metabolism slightly, studies have shown that influence is not significant enough to affect a person’s weight. * Don’t get too comfortable. Modern technology may be a reason why waist sizes are getting bigger. Heating and cooling systems may be must-have items, but when the body is too comfortable, it burns less energy to stay warm in the winter or comfortably cool in the summer. A study from the National Institute of Health Clinical Center found that people who slept in a room kept at 66 F burned 7 percent more calories than those who slept in a room at 75 F. Sleeping in a cooler room may just be the easiest way for men and women to boost their metabolisms. Boosting metabolism and shedding extra pounds is a goal for many men and women. But while metabolism is a complex set of processes, the various ways to effectively boost that metabolism can be quite simple.

Here’s How It Works: Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9 grid, broken down into nine 3x3 boxes. To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each row, column and box. Each number can appear only once in each row, column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will appear by using the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle!

A Younique Approach by Kevin Bennett
From her July spot in House Hunter, you wouldn’t know Toni Friedly was a Gillette local unless you met her! With Younique’s line of all-natural mineral-based makeup, Toni took a glamour shot so good, most locals assumed she was a model from California. Younique’s line can hardly be exaggerated. Says Toni: “We’re an all-natural mineralbased makeup company. The industry standard on natural products draws the line at 85%; anything 85% or above is defined as ‘all natural’. At Younique, our lowest product is 93% natural ingredients, and we have products that are 100% natural!” It’s easy to see the difference. Younique’s 3D Fiber Lash mascara increases lash length and volume by 300%! Toni
describes it this way: “I tell you what: wear this mascara, it’s going to blow people away. No more extensions, baby! I don’t always randomly wink at people, but when I do, it’s to show off my 3D Fiber Lashes. It’s like Viagra for your eyes!” (Only, presumably, without a doctor visit if your lashes stay awesome longer than four hours.) Siblings Derek Maxfield and Melanie Huscroft founded Younique, and in 2014 monthly sales averaged three million dollars worldwide. “The products are super amazing. The main thing about Younique is it’s a social-networking business; you’re building a team. I have 63 people on my team, the majority stay-at-home moms. My company averages 10 to 12 thousand a month! Younique has 51,000 presenters
in America, CanaSeptember da, Australia and 2014 New Zealand. We’re in the top three social networking companies worldwide—because we’re freaking awesome! The product sells itself. Try it out— I’ll bet you love it as much as everyone else does, and you’ll want to join the adventure!” Gosh, I want to join the adventure and I’m a dude! …maybe I shouldn’t share that in a public magazine? Common Sunscreen Myths
The best way to care for skin is to be smart about sun exposure. Too much unprotected exposure to the sun can cause a host of problems, from premature wrinkling to skin cancer. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, millions of cases of skin cancer are reported each year, and many more may go undetected. The best way to protect skin from the sun is to stay out of the sun. When that is not feasible, using a broad-
ally, the best sunscreen is the one you will use regularly. Make sure you like the scent and the feel of the sunscreen. Decide if you prefer a sunscreen that is grouped together with a moisturizer or a makeup foundation. Try sunscreens that are lotions or sticks to figure out which application works best for you. Once you’ve found a product you like, stick with it. But make sure the sunscreen has an adequate sun protection factor, or SPF.
spectrum sunscreen can guard against damage from ultraviolet radiation. Although sunscreen is an enormous help, it is not foolproof. Sunburns and skin damage can occur even when using sunscreen, and user error accounts for much of that damage. To get the best results from any sunscreen product, consumers can educate themselves about proper application and avoid certain information inaccuracies.
Myth: I only need sunscreen on sunny days. The sun can prove harmful even on cloudy days. You may not be safe indoors, either, particularly if you spend a good deal of time next to an open window. Window glass will only block certain types of UV light, making sunburn possible even if you are indoors or riding in a car. It’s a good habit to apply sunscreen daily regardless of if you will be out in the sun.
Myth: The best sunscreen is the one with the highest SPF. Actu-
Myth: Spray sunscreens are as effective as the rest. Spray prod-

ucts may not deliver enough sunscreen to the skin because droplets are dispersed unevenly. Furthermore, the propellents used in spray sunscreens could be harmful if inhaled. Opt for sunscreens that are applied by hand and can be adequately coated over all areas of the skin. Myth: Sunscreen does not need to be reapplied, especially if it’s water-resistant. There is no such thing as a waterproof sunscreen. The Food and Drug Administration recently prohibited the use of the term “waterproof” because consumers falsely believed their sunscreen products would not wash off. Water-resistant sunscreens will be effective for a certain number of minutes before they need to be reapplied, usually between 40 to 90 minutes. If you have been sweating profusely or have been in the pool or ocean for awhile, play it safe and reapply often. Myth: A little drop of sunscreen is all that’s needed. Many people are applying far too little sunscreen to protect themselves from the sun. The average person needs about an ounce of lotion to cover his or her entire body. Think about the size of a shot glass and use that amount. Myth: Spending more money on SPF 50 will get me superior protection. The rate of protection from SPF 30 to SPF 50 is marginal. SPF 30 (when applied correctly) can protect against 97 percent of UVB rays. That’s adequate for many people. It’s most important to choose a sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays.

Dinner Party Dos And Don’ts Hosting a dinner party is no small task. First-time hosts tasked with hosting a dinner party for family and friends may not realize just how big a commitment such an undertaking can be. As a result, hosts often find their first dinner party to be somewhat overwhelming. But dinner parties need not be an exercise in crisis management. In fact, first-time and even veteran hosts can put the following dos and don’ts of dinner parties to good use to ensure their turn as host goes off without a hitch. DO serve your specialty. While experimenting with new recipes is part of the joy of cooking, such experiments are best avoided when hosting a dinner party. Instead of trying a new recipe, serve a dish you have prepared numerous times in the past. Making such meals is like second nature to home chefs, and that can greatly reduce the stress of hosting a dinner party. DON’T worry if it takes longer to serve a meal than you planned. Even if you are making a dish you have prepared dozens of times in the past, expect things to move a little more slowly when hosting a dinner party. This is especially true when hosting a large dinner party because you will have to prepare a much larger meal than usual. So don’t worry if the meal is served later than you had planned. DO make a list and check it twice. In the days leading up to your party, make a list of ingredients you will need to prepare the meal. Once that list has been made, check your refrigerator and pantry to make sure you have enough of everything to prepare the meal on the scale it needs to be prepared. After you have made your list and checked your pantry, read the recipes again just to make sure you didn’t forget anything before
you head to the store to buy whatever you need. DON’T ask guests to bring essential items. While guests will often volunteer to bring certain items, it’s best that hosts don’t ask guests to bring anything essential to the meal. That’s because guests might be late, which can delay the meal, or they might just forget, forcing hosts to make last-minute trips to the grocery store. Guests can bring items, but it’s ideal if they bring items you won’t need to serve the meal, such as a bottle of wine or even premade desserts.
DO ask guests if they have any dietary restrictions. Many guests, especially older guests who might be managing certain health conditions, might have dietary restrictions that govern what they can and cannot eat. Ask guests to let you know if they have any such restrictions, and if those restrictions are foods they can’t eat or simply foods they don’t want to eat. That’s an important distinction that can make a host’s job easier. DON’T make meals that require
a specific taste. Certain types of cuisine are destined to produce mixed responses, and hosts should avoid such foods so no one is forced to dine entirely on appetizers and dessert. For example, Indian cuisine tends to be very spicy, and not everyone likes their food to pack such a potent punch. Stick to cuisine that is flavorful but not so extraordinary that it may upset the stomachs of your guests who don’t often indulge in such foods. DO start early. In addition to preparing your entree earlier than you would when making dinner for your family, start preparing sides or other parts of the meal in advance when possible. Some recipes include storage instructions for chefs preparing meals in advance, so heed those recommendations to take some of the pressure off come the day of your party. DON’T go overboard. While it may be tempting to stun your guests with a seven-course meal, aiming too high may lead to disaster. A simple meal with an easily prepared appetizer, a delicious entree and a light dessert will make for a memorable evening for everyone, and your guests will appreciate both your efforts and the time they get to spend with you throughout the night. Hosting a dinner party is a thoughtful gesture that should be fun. While hosting can be stressful, following a few tricks of the trade can make hosting duties that much more manageable.
