EVERYTHING CHICKEN
When you're pressed for time
Sometimes, recipes don't go as planned. This week, Aliyah made Everything Chicken. She learned that pan seared flour has salt and it made her chicken salty. She was going make something else but I asked her not to because I wanted to share real life happenings . I've made many dishes and my kids have been like "what the!". LOL!! That's life. We just start again
INGREDIENTS CHICKEN TENDERS TRADER JOE’S EVERYTHING BAGEL SEASONING WEGMAN’S PAN SEARING FLOUR BLACK PEPPER COOKING OIL
EVERYTHING CHICKEN SOMETIMES CONCEPTUALLY RECIPES MAKE SENSE BUT THE EXECUTION IS NOT ALWAYS ON POINT. I HAD SOME CHICKEN TENDERS AND I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY SOMETHING SIMPLE SO THAT THEY COULD BE USED FOR SALADS FOR LUNCH OR AS A MAIN DISH WITH OTHER SIDES FOR DINNER. I WAS IN TRADER JOE’S AND SAW THE SEASONING. I LOVE EVERYTHING BAGELS, BUT I’M WORKING HARD TO REDUCE MY SIMPLE CARB INTAKE SO, “LIGHTBULB” MOMENT, “EVERYTHING CHICKEN.”
DIRECTIONS LIGHTLY SEASON THE CHICKEN TENDERS WITH PEPPER, BOTH BAGEL SEASONING AND PAN SEARING FLOUR CONTAIN SALT. TAKE A PLATE AND SPRINKLE THE EVERYTHING BAGEL SEASONING AND SO IT COVERS THE PLATE. PLACE THE TENDERS IN THE SEASONING BLEND AND MAKE SURE BOTH SIDES ARE COATED. LIGHTLY SPRINKLE EACH SIDE WITH THE PAN SEARING FLOUR. HEAT A PAN TO MEDIUM HEAT WITH 2-3 TABLESPOONS OF OIL. ADD THE CHICKEN TO THE PAN, DO NOT CROWD. COOK UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWNED AND HALFWAY COOKED THROUGH. FLIP AND COOK UNTIL CHICKEN REACHES 160 DEGREES AT LEAST 4 MINUTES ON EACH SIDE
