n 2010, we sat around our kitchen table in a house in Hackney conjuring up a brand we could not find - one which coupled beautiful and authentic design with great quality, a fair price point for the standard of workmanship, and one which had a strong social conscience. House of Hackney’s foundation would be based on low wastage and mindful production in England, whilst supporting the creation of UK jobs in the process. We wanted to create a brand that looked and did well. Six years on and our iconic collections of prints and well-made unique products, coupled with the social principles behind them, continue to capture the imaginations of people across the generations. Supporting charity is an important part of our foundation at House of Hackney. We are therefore proud to partner with the incredible ‘Help Refugees’, a charity that is close to our heart and one that works tirelessly to provide aid to refugees in urgent need. This Christmas we will be helping to raise as much as possible for this charity through a series of fundraising initiatives and from sales donations to help those who have fled their homes. The House of Christmas re-imagined is back for 2016. This season, images and ideas from the ancient silk route inspire our opulently Bohemian Christmas.

Suppor ting charit y is an impor tant par t of our foundation at House of Hackney. This season we are proud to par tner with the amazing ‘Help Refugees’ charit y, one that is close to our hear t and one that works tirelessly to provide aid to those in urgent need in the face of a growing global refugee crisis.
During this fundraising push, 10% of all sales from the Oswego collection, symbolizing dif ferent ethnicities across the globe, will be donated to Help Refugees. We will also auction a limited edition sofa and quilt, where 100% of the proceeds will go to the charit y.

Other initiatives include in-store events, each with a £5 entr y donation, to help spread awareness and raise funds to help refugees in need.
