Event Decor Your Own Stamp

After a few years with fewer weddings than we’d have liked, we know we're not the only ones chomping at the bit to hear the event décor trends for 2022 nuptials! Are you ready to personalise your big day? Bridgerton does weddings

With eBay having reported a 205% rise in searches for a Daphne-inspired puff-sleeved wedding dress, the award-winning Netflix show clearly inspired many 2021 weddings. This season looks to be no different – Regency era weddings, complete with draping wisteria, hanging lanterns and classic cakes, are here to stay. Add handwritten notes, literary quotes and a vintage afternoon tea for the full effect – or hire a local events company who’ll source it all for you!

Looking for one shade to watch in 2022? It’s rust! Team unique terracotta pots, driftwood and dried flowers with linen napkins and pops of amber and coral for a décor palette to die for.

Balloons will be big

The perfect décor indoors or outdoors, you can expect to see the most extra balloon arrangements at this season’s weddings! From arches to garlands, it’s all about the inflatable wow factor. Why not double their use and move your balloon decs as your wedding moves through the venue?

Talking of arches…

Trendy, unique arches are going to be a popular way to personalise a venue. After the rustic, vintage vibe? Go for an arch made of birch. For an ultra-modern statement, how about hexagonal wooden arches? Alternatively, keep it simple and elegant with metal.

Sniff sniff…

Remember when the Duchess of Cambridge scented the whole of Westminster Abbey with Jo Malone candles? Now it’s your turn as 2022 couples look to smells, sights and sounds to immerse their guests in their big day. How about scented stationery, a different scent for each room in your venue or one for each song the band plays? Next level entertainment

From bouncy castles, beer pong and pinatas to circus performers, petting zoos and temporary tattoos, some of you really are going the extra mile when it comes to keeping your guests occupied! Not just a DJ or a band, expect to see a DJ and a band, and perhaps a silent disco! Dancefloors will spill out of venues, marquees and tipis onto rugs, raised stages and terraces – all making up for the nightclubs we’ve missed out on. ♥
