Beauty Final Touches Once you have your outfit sorted, you’ll need to pick out all those little extras to help you feel amazing on your big day. Don’t know where to start with hair and make-up? Let us help find all the essentials for your dream wedding.

Camera ready

Covid-19 has changed the way makeup artists and hairdressers are working. First up, you’ll only be able to hire a pro if your wedding is taking place in levels zero to three. Also, cleaning and hygiene have been upped and PPE is the new norm. You can arrange a trial run (depending on rules) for your hair and make-up, so you’ll know exactly what you’ll look like on the day. Alternatively, a pre-wedding virtual consultation would let you talk through all your ideas in person.

In the lead up to your wedding (and always!) make sure you’re looking after your skin. If you’re not already, get into a good skincare routine that works for you. There are so many products out there, so do your research before splurging on something unnecessary. You’ll want your wedding face to be fresh and glowing!

And don’t forget your nails. There’ll probably be lots of shots taken of your rings so make sure your hands look fab too. Play it safe with a natural or nude tone or match your polish to your theme.

A lucky few will have a pro in their circle who can share their skills on the big day. But you may prefer to do your own hair and make-up.

Adapting to not being seen clients face-to-face, some professionals have been sharing their expertise through online classes. An excellent opportunity to brush up on your skills from the comfort of your own home!

Calling all men! Have you considered pre-wedding grooming? Think about any appointments you’ll need to book and treat yourself to a pamper before the big day too.

Wedding hair trends

• Au naturale: Pick a style that enhances your everyday look – think loose waves and natural textures.

• Braids: A very versatile style that can look effortless and chic. Works for all lengths and there’s lots of options – consider a mermaid braid or half up braided style. Classic updo: A bun or French twist look very elegant and may work perfectly with your outfit of choice.

• Little details: Why not add flowers or a jewelled headpiece? A tiara would add some glamour to your look.

• Veils: The most iconic bridal accessory and there are so many to choose from! Find something that complements your dress and hairstyle.
