Motivational letter Dear IFMSA Family, Five years ago when I attended my National General assembly, I felt Impressed observing the huge world of IFMSA. I felt empowered and motivated to take a step further and serve the association on the next level. little did I know at the time that the opportunities given to me by IFMSA would initiate a journey of passion and motivation that I would never have dreamt was possible. Through it, I learned that I can be the change I want to see in the world. I am honored to present to you my candidature for The IFMSA Supervising Council for the terms 2022-2024. I look back how I was a volunteer working within my local committee participating in every opportunity and seeking every chance to serve the community and advocate for global health. Time went by until I grew to be part of IFMSA Family, a family of inclusive, loving people eager to change the world. Eversince I gave my all to this family and the Global health advocate. I remember my first ecounter with the supervising council in my NMO when I was a Conistiutioon and credinal committee member in an NGA. They were Strong, direct, supportive, caring and constructive. They made me acknowledge the tasks and responsibilities while feeling confiden. They showcased the values of the Supervising Council in all their interactions. These intractions drew an image of what a Supervising Council in IFMSA should be in my mind, and I vowed to myself to convey this experience to the future generations. I have always looked up and admired the Supervising Council and believed in their essential role in IFMSA sturcture. Which is emboded in challenging new concepts and ideas and providing the guidance and support to the officials to make them work in the most optimum way to serve the instesrt of our federation. Always being proactive and caring. providing advice, assistance and support, whether as an Official or a member. I consider myself a logical innovative person, Throughout my IFMSA Journey I always looked up to bring up new things to the table while regulating every aspect of it. I have been involved in multiple levels and contributed on a local level, and national level, serving as NORA and Vice president for External Affairs and International level as PCBDA. Which gave me days filled with responsibilities, decisions, and sleepless nights.

Motivational letter It taught me how the decision-making process as a national team can affect generations of IFMSA-Iraq members. Made me think about the future consequences of each and every action. Showed me how to fulfill my passion for advocating and spreading the proper orientation for IFMSA as well as viewing the perspective of each level including their responsibilities, expectations, and needs. I have also been involved in plenary teams on national, regional, and international levels, which gave me the opportunity to open the constitution and bylaws on regular basis and well oriented in plenary producers. I am passionate about writing and updating regulatory documents and procedures, and consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to heavily contributed to the development of my NMO C&B, regulations, and IOGs. I have researched every IFMSA regulatory document including the constitution and bylaws, regulations, and IOGs. "Be who you needed when you were younger"
It is my desire to continue using the skills, qualities, and experiences that IFMSA has given me over the past 6 years. I have always felt responsible and obligated to give back to the beloved IFMSA family. working proactively to advise and assist whenever deemed necessary. Which is the core essence of our accomplishments. It ensures our mission and vision. As well as gardening our Constitution and bylaws. Plan of Action
My plan of action is based on the Supervising Council's work regulated in the IFMSA Constitution and Bylaws and Supervising council Internal Operating Guidelines, and the experience that I have gained working on local, national, and international levels. As well as The Supervising Council's role should not be innovative for our federation. But to support the executive board, the team of officials, and NMOs guided by the values of our constitution and bylaws. To Ensure proper support the supervising council must act as a body, each member will bring their unique set of skills to the table. meaning that If I am elected, I will be discussing my plan with the SupCo members and decide thereafter.

Supervisory and Advisory Role Having formerly been involved in nearly all areas of IFMSA work, I believe in my capabilities to supervise the work done in IFMSA and provide input when requested. I can help explain any unclear procedures of the EB and TO to the SupCo and decide with them on required involvement. “SupCo approval” is often thought of as a hindrance while it should be seen as the last quality check before release. Supervising Council as an entity: Every SupCo decision, interpretation, and stance needs to be constructed carefully with the highest focus on the benefits of our federation in mind. Investigations: Most of the investigations are preventable by raising concerns early within the SupCo to tackle the issue as early as possible and Investigations should be the last resort. Maintaining the confidentiality of the investigation process on all levels and taking into account all perspectives of all the involved parties and remaining as objective and as neutral as possible, as well as ensuring following the investigation procedures outlined in the SupCo IOGs within a reasonable time frame. Approachability: being approachable, easily accessible, and active throughout the whole term for NMOs in terms of support, or consultation. Reviewing minutes: Review EB meetings minutes and provide feedback, comments, and inputs to make sure that EB minutes are transparent and in line with the values of our federation. Availability: Ensure attending TOM, GAs, and RMs whenever needed.

Finances Review Transactions of the federation ensuring they are in line with our needs. Grants and sponsorships tracking and reporting: One biggest obstacle regarding grants in IFMSA is that they take up two terms Application and execution terms, this obstacle can be overcome by reviewing the grants’ budget template to ensure proper planning, resource allocation, tracking, and reporting by the officials involved. avoiding any issues ensuring IFMSA's prestige and reliability to be chosen for more grants. Providing recommendations for collaborations with partners. Financial Reports: Actively Support EB represented especially the VPF to ensure the financial reports are submitted within deadlines. As well as support the EB to finalize previous terms financial reports. Financial Committee: work with SupCo on quick and transparent selection to ensure adequate time for the FC to start handover and reviewing of IFMSA Finances. * depending on SupCo task distribution
Healthy Work environment Mental Health watch: Conduct Anonymous mental health watch surveys quarterly to ensure a healthy work environment Buddy system: supporting my TO buddies throughout the term when required and actively checking in with them through regular communication, AWP, and report reviews. I will ensure they feel safe in sharing the good and bad parts and will assist them however I can. 07
General Assemblies Ensure attending presidents’ sessions and plenaries ensuring healthy communication and a natural body to mediate discussions when needed. Being SupCo Contact Person for GAs and supporting EB CP and the OC. Provide support for the CCC via introductory meetings providing them with the necessary knowledge. Provide support for the FC via introductory meetings with help of the VPF providing them with necessary documents and templates. Supervising Council Report Submission, presentation, and providing clarifications when requested. * depending on SupCo task distribution
Code of Conduct The code of conduct is the essence of making IFMSA General Assemblies a healthy, professional, equitable, diverse, inclusive, and safe space. Thus Working with EB on resolving any reports to the CoC. as well as providing the support and guidance needed for CoC reform. I intend to be part of or support and assist in the CoC Committee during GAs.

Constitution and Bylaws, Regulations, and IOGs
I have been working with the IFMSA Constitution and Bylaws on a regular basis drafting and contributing to the development of my NMO’s constitution and bylaws as well as my NMO SCs regulations and IOGs. I have an interest in the development of Bylaws. I will be able to provide experience to the SupCo and, as well as actively approach EB, TO, and NMOs when such procedures are not followed. Additionally: Working with EB, TO on developing and improving their Regulations and IOGs. ensuring that they are well constructed and up to date with our constitution and bylaws. Reviewing and updating SupCo IOGs after consulting the SupCo. Interpretations: working with SupCo to ensure providing correct and accountable interpretations when requested.

IFMSA strategy Change is never easy, I believe that with the new strategy, there will be new responsibilities that not only fall on the shoulders of the Executive Board, but rather on the shoulder of Team of Officials and NMOs leading our members and structure toward the IFMSA we are envisioning. Nonetheless, this will not be an easy endeavor. It requires the supervising council to oversee and support the EB with proper timelines, planning, and information analysis, I intend to provide the EB with necessary reflections on the work done to each point of the new Strategy ensuring IFMSA is provided with the shift it needs.
Supervising Council Sustainability Supervising Council position has always been intimidating for members to apply to. By Increasing the transparency and understanding of procedures. As well as, having a transparent task distribution (both as individuals and as a team) and a transparent monthly SupCO report. Will increase the engagement toward Supervising Council position.
