WHO AM I Time is Money they said, how much money you would want to really be able to fill the missing gap. Endless it is. This year kicked off in such a silent mood, everyone held their breathe and wore their hearts on the sleeve as they slowly crept in to the New Year. With lots of high believe that the year would look better despite the pandemic. In the middle of all that, there are two girls, beautiful smart and amazing, being bullied somewhere because of their body shape, having little to no strength to stand up for themselves so they opted for what seemed easy for them, they left home because they didn’t want to bother their mother of what was going on in school. It was a 3 hour terror as they looked for them from one corner to the other. What do you think was going on in their heads? What hurt them so much that their only option was to run away? Was the school so adamant not to realize this? Did they talk to their mother before? All these questions are going through your head right now. Here to let you know that, the only thing that was missing in all this story is the fact that there wasn’t communication, but also as a kid if confident enough I would stand up for myself, on the other hand, I might not stand up for myself because the other person is your elder, I need to respect them. Moreover, they should have raised the issue to the parent, but again, how much weight and pain did the statement carry. So again it leads all of us to just respect each other, love one another and treat your neighbor as you would want to be treated. Parents be close with your kids, communicate with them and know what goes around in school, teachers don’t kill the self-esteem that’s been worked so hard from the extra-curricular activities, you are there to help them light up their dreams not deem them. Kids, love yourself so much in such a way that any negative word thrown at you, you just let it pass over your head. Be so confident that no light will be too deeming for your shine. Walk the ground and hold your head high above. Soar to greater heights and live that dream. Because. You are who you are, beautifully and wonderfully made. Who am I? I am God created and loved child, made in His likeness, and I will rise up, stand up and walk up to my purpose. Because this is Who I Am.
