AMG Completed Project Features JAMF Software The JAMF Software 9th Floor build-out was recently completed. AMG Architectural Glass and Glazing’s Scope of Work: Interior build-out on the 9th floor of the historic Grain Exchange building in downtown Minneapolis. The clear anodized storefront framing with ¼” clear tempered glass; entry doors with panic hardware and office doors with lever locksets was included in the build-out. For more than 125 years, grain traders ruled the roost at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. The MGEX, as it was known, specialized in hard red spring wheat, the kind used for bread and hard baked goods. From 1881, it was a crown jewel of commerce for the producers, processors, and millers of a city once deemed the world’s grain milling capital. With the move to electronic trading, the exchange ceased to function as an open outcry trading floor in December 2008. Grain traders may no longer shout and gesture from the historic trading floor, but in their place is a new crop of entrepreneurs pushing today’s version of progress. Instead of wheat, corn, and soybeans, the new residents deal in apps, management software, and clean tech. -Minnesota Business
