The HTS Experience

All students at HTS are required to commit to the co-curricular program of the school beyond their academic program HTS believes in developing the whole learner and providing opportunities for every student to grow and flourish into well-rounded citizens

The program offerings are extensive and some are an extension of our academic offerings, challenging students to see the interconnected nature of systems and life

The Arts: The Arts at HTS exist as an academic discipline as well as a part of our co-curricular life where students collaborate with other students across the school and external partners

Athletics: Students are able to participate in more than 50 sports teams across Grades 4 to 12

Experiential Learning at HTS consists of global travel experiences, service learning, environmental stewardship and outdoor education

Design Technology & Innovation: Coding, Robotics, Fabrication and Design, and Engineering Our innovative learner curriculum is embedded in our K-12 programming

Internship Program: The HTS Internship Program is a mandatory graduation requirement for students It provides hands-on experience, develops workplace competencies, and prepares students for their future careers

Micro-credentials are increasingly in demand in response to the need for more flexible, learnercentered forms of provisional education and training for lifelong learning At HTS, not only are we providing our students with connections to industry partners, but we create our own exciting certifications focused on the areas of expertise that our school offers Some examples include Graphic Design and Illustration Using Adobe Illustrator, Print and Digital Media Publication, Unity Certified User, App Development with Swift, Autodesk Fusion 360 Certification and our very own Apprentice Technician programs

Character & Leadership Development: At the heart of all leadership programming is the belief that character development is fundamental to an HTS education Programming extends across all divisions Cultivating leadership skills, and strong values within all of our programs and formally through Prefect roles, club leaders, house captains, etc

The HTS Senior School offers students the chance to lead upwards of 40 student-run clubs.

Search Process

Candidates will be interviewed by Odgers throughout February and March. Selected candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process with the Search Committee in the spring. Interviews will take place in two rounds. The first round will be conducted virtually. The second round will take place inperson and consist of a campus tour, meetings with key individuals, and another interview with the Committee References and background checks will also be conducted

The successful candidate will start in the summer of 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
