You should let one go to the vegetable market if he has no way to go but a suicide. The environment is so complicated with different kinds of people. There are numerous lives among people, so does he still think he has no other option? ---------- Gu Long Chinese famous writer A market is a place in the daily life of citizens, and its publicity and importance have been highly thought. There are increasingly consumption methods. In the present time with the faster and faster urban development, the progress of the traditional vegetable market in the city faces a serious challenge. On one hand, there is “messy, dirty and worse” atmosphere in the traditional vegetable markets as a necessary part of people’s daily life. On the other hand, people rise higher and higher requirement on vegetable markets. The single vegetable market could not satisfy the need for urban development. Sandwich Vegetable market suggests a concept of “sandwich” for the obvious height difference of the field. The profit on the second floor of the market would be maximized. Based on the present field relationship, the first floor and the newly-built third floor are made as urban activity space; while the second floor is the market space for residents. In the activating the negative space of the market, there would be a better linkage between the vein of the market and the market. The market is made to be a dimensional consumption space integrated with food selection + catering experience + other life factors. It is hoped that the market could be the real site with urban publicity through the research of the city and the market to provide a real urban life and street life for citizens.

Introduction to site: The market locates in Cheung Chau Island, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China. It is only one market of farm products on the island. Cheung Chau Island will be planned to be a relaxed island with leisure tourism in the future planning of the government. There are numerous military schools and shipyards on the island, and there is very rugged terrain. The vegetable market locates in the central position of Cheung Chau Island, and there is dense popularity around the market. The North is a natural village built with the mountain; while the west side is the dormitory of workers, and there is a bigger height difference in the market. The South is the memorial hall of the Revolution of 1911. The East is a middle school. Now the market is reformed d by nine factory buildings with a similar shape and a structure of two layers. It is in an encloses state. It is a dormitory area to the west is cut off by a 5m soil slope, and there is complicated terrain height difference in the north. The residential houses of surrounding residents are in the height of the second floor of the market, but the second floor of the market has been abandoned.

The historical changes of Xiguan in Guangzhou
With the rapid development of cities today, our cities have shown an astonishing phenomenon of convergence. Under the highdensity urban space, our city has lost its original sense of place. Under the tall buildings, all we can feel is the mechanical isolation of urban life and the decline of culture. For a city full of worldly like Guangzhou, the street vendors selling on the street, the old people drinking tea and chatting under the trees, and the comfortable streets are disappearing. Instead, it’s the high-rise building. Although some of the remaining historically protected blocks still retain the breath of life. But under the care of "pseudo-humanistic care", they seem to have to be separated from the surrounding cities like a museum. These neighborhoods have their own unique urban facades and lifestyles. The streets and markets are important media for information, material, and spiritual exchanges, and are the "media center" of the city. For such blocks, the narrow streets and crowded wholesale formats carry too much media information, and the city loses its tension for further development. As a result, they are gradually marginalized. So how should we reorganize this urban relationship? How to put the natural space which is needed for modern life into the new urban system? The concept of "Super Bowl" we put forward is not to compete and criticize existing factors. Instead, we hope to comply with them and carry as much media information as possible in this neighborhood. Let wholesale, history and urban blend with each other in a bowl. Commercial wholesale is an important part of this block, so we chose it as the edge of the “Super Bowl” to reorganize the relationship between the blocks. It connects four different blocks in the horizontal direction, and connects history, nature and life in the vertical direction. All information about the city will be highlighted on this bowl. The bowl is like the edge of a "city within a city". You can reach any corner of the block along the “Super Bowl”. The inner and outer facades of the bowl are like a media medium, after deconstructing all the information, they are displayed equally. The inner and outer shape of the “Super Bowl” has become a completely different city facade and city skyline. "Public and private", "new and old", "inside and outside", and "up and down" have all become blurred. A brand new logistics system nested in the “Super Bowl” can isolate the information exchange channel from the goods exchange channel and return the complete media interface to the city. The “Super Bowl” will create a new urban typology and bring a new population gathering place and destination for Guangzhou.

The site is located on the edge of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, next to Shameen. It is the largest wholesale market of Chinese medicinal materials in Guangdong, and also a historical and cultural block.
Keep the historical buildings as a display block. To support the memory and culture of the city.
The renewal of the old city requires us to increase the culture, entertainment and many other formats to meet the needs of modern life.We arrange the new urban system horizontally above the city in the form of a ring.Use this ring to connect four different blocks and various functions.
Add a Cantonese opera theater and a museum as core cultural buildings.
According to the needs of reserved buildings and newly added buildings, the new system is processed up and down.
The residential area is placed on the multifunctional ring, which can be easily reached to each area but without being disturbed.

Street life is one of Guangzhou’s traditional culture. We have subtracted the original street texture from the new urban system,to show the traditional street relationship in the new urban system.
Join a unified urban logistics system to meet the logistics needs of the wholesale market and reorganize the community’s transportation system.
With the help of the new logistics system, four small TOD units were placed as the economic and office center of the community.
Construct a natural sky garden on the ring system, which can be directly connected to the ground. They form a three-dimensional leisure system. And let the whole block be surrounded by forest.
We added a large area of solar energy on the roof of the house, and set up a vertical farm on the side with the best sunlight. To meet the life needs of the entire community.
Super bowl is a brand new urban system exclusive to this area. There are memories of cities, natural ecology, and self-sufficient energy. It's an attempt to revitalize the city.

Green mountains are gold mountains. Rural tourism has become increasing popular. Most of traditional culture and production style in the country have been carried forward by it. The location of the project is in Yongguang Village, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, China. Here is surrounded by mountains with vast tea land, so the scenery is so fabulous. At the same time, the village remains with the traditional tea making process. What’s more, they do hope to show such as a set of processes for visiting. Under the trend that everybody chases after the reservation of traditional buildings in the village, is there any new direction for the new one? Will there be a fresh fire in the confusion and collision of future and traditional in space and content? I think the contemporary rural building would have a more organic and diversified development direction. The project also highlights the sense of the experience of visitors in the whole process when meeting the space needed for the traditional tea making process, so as to inspire the participation of visitors. The new tea plant looks like several pieces of tea entangled together naturally fell in the tea field to appear in the tea field valley with a status closer to nature. The space of making tea leaves, sun-drying tea leaves and tourism are hidden in the twisted structure, so as to blur the boundary of production and visiting. People appear to be immersed in the sea of tea leaves when walking in the plant. They would be close to the tea filed sometime, and they would observe the tea leaves making process in a short distance. Sometimes, they could have an overlooking of such beautiful scenery. Such original status, like tea leaves, could perfectly combine production, visiting, nature and sky together.

“Tan Cha Art Gallery A public architecture combining tea house with arts Key word: Cultural building, Art gallery, Teahouse, Functional combination Time: From July 2020 to August 2020 Site location: Guangzhou, Guangdong, China Individual work
In Cantonese, “Tan Cha” means enjoying dim sum. Guangzhou is characterized by its dim sum culture, while those people there would have dim sum with their friends and talk about own life in free time. As the city’s cultural center, the art gallery shows its culture and charms vividly. “Tan Cha” Art Gallery is near to Guangzhou Tower, a cultural center of Guangzhou. Guangzhou enjoys high reputation as a metropolis with multi-cultures, possessing an inclusive attitude toward arts. Therefore, most people prefer to participate in exhibition, which is also their first-choice cultural activity. For such a special city with strong human feeling and artistic atmosphere, will there any interesting collision be created if the two irrelevant things closest to life are integrated? This project tries to paste these two spaces together to build up a cultural center “filled with common customs”. The dining space with special shape extracted from the cooker of dim sum, “steamer”, forms a unique extension with the square halls. It blurs the boundary between noble art and daily life to create a cultural space closer to life.

There are some necessary factors in traditional tea houses in Guangzhou, including round table, steamers, as well as handcart for delivering dim sums. Instead of hanging around, people only need to sit on the place to watch the moving handcart to pick up what they want.
The art gallery is composed of hall and aisle. People have to move around to watch all the exhibits in each hall.
The tea house space is inserted in the hall and all the space would be shown in the atriums. What happened could be observed in the translucent interface mutually. You could see the action in each space at one glance in the atriums without moving around. re

CHAPTER6
With the changes of the times, the former prosperous Guangzhou Xiguan has become the "past" recalled by local citizens. Xiguan has also become a foothold for the low-level groups that are among the cities. The dotted lottery betting stations have become the epitome of this change. Full of people's pursuit of the "golden dream". Such fantasy to wonderful life perfectly matches with the aim of Mulholland Dr. The people are disappointed with the real-life and dreaming their ideal one; they are making some unpractical “daily dream”. “Lottery Station–7 Longjin West Road” locates in building overhang groups of West Longjin Road. The first floor is the latter station and the upper floor is a living space. The proposal aims at creating a narrative building of “dream and reality” by reforming building overhang, an urban experience space. With the help of the narrative translation of Mulholland Dr. it is displayed with a story of Xiguan on dream and reality with the method of cross-cutting and cross montage. So that, people could have consideration for themselves in the switching process between the real living space and the illusional experience one.

The intervention of the new building is light-weight, separate from the teaching building, retaining the original two-story platform transparent feeling, and playing the role of connecting each teaching building. The intervention of the new building is short-lived to reduce the impact on the teaching activities of the entire teaching area. At the same time, it can be put into use quickly, and can also be quickly changed or dismantled according to special needs. Meet the basic needs of outdoor teaching in the lightest way. The application of the gap sequence combination in the new building mainly provides a stable basic frame for the gap through two roofs (perforated aluminum panels, wooden panels) with specific usage patterns and three low walls of different heights.
