HUBLOT OPENS SECOND MANUFACTURING BUILDING On September 29th, just 6 years after opening its Manufacture in 2009, Hublot has inaugurated its 2nd manufacture building. 300 guests from around the world, including brand ambassadors Bar Refaeli, Lapo Elkann and PelĂŠ, made the trip to celebrate this milestone in the brand history. This extension is highly symbolic for the brand - it witnesses its expansion and its success. It added 8,000Â sqm of surface where Hublot will install 100 workstations over the next 5 years in order to keep pace with increasing demand and to maintain the vertical growth of its production.

MAGIC GOLD Created in 2011 by Hublot and EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), made in the foundery of the Manufacture - Magic Gold - is the hardest gold: it can only be successfully machined using diamond. Its hardness of almost 1000 Vickers eliminates the traditional weak point of gold and its alloys, which are normally easily scratched. The expert fusion of ceramic and liquid gold, 18K Magic Gold must, like all other 18K alloys, be composed of 750ppm pure gold. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Big Bang collection, Hublot unveiled a Full Magic Gold Big Bang Unico.

UNICO CHRONOGRAPH MOVEMENT Developed in less than 4 years, the Unico movement is the fruit of intensive research & development within Hublot’s own manufacture. 330 individually hand-assembled components make up this distinguished movement. With a construction that allows the addition of supplementary functions, the Unico 100% in-house movement can be fitted with other complications and modules such as the Flyback Chronograph, GMT or the Bi-Retrograde Chronograph.

SUPERMODEL BAR REFAELI FOR HUBLOT In February in New York City, Hublot unveiled its latest Brand Ambassador – internationally renowned supermodel Bar Refaeli. She is known throughout the world as one of the top supermodels of her time. She has graced the covers of top magazines, including ELLE, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Glamour and more. At the event, Bar strutted the catwalk in a couture gown, made exclusively by Bischoff, in a nod to the launch of Hublot’s newest women’s timepiece collection – the Big Bang Broderie.

LAPO ELKANN & ITALIA INDEPENDENT FOR HUBLOT In 2015, Hublot announced its partnership with Italia Independent, the Italian brand cofounded by Lapo Elkann, a creative entrepreneur, designer and style icon with a unique taste in fashion and business entrepreneurship. Italia Independent is a creative and stylish brand for independent people that blends fashion and design, tradition and innovation. Italia Independent updates “Made in Italy� by revisiting classic icons, operating in the eyewear field and creating lifestyle products belonging to different sectors, exporting the Italian style into a global world. The partnership has seen Hublot and Italia Independent develop the Big Bang Unico Italia Independent.

CLASSIC FUSION ENAMEL BRITTO The Classic Fusion Enamel Britto is the fusion of arts and crafts. A link between a traditional art – “grand feu” enamelling – and contemporary art movements – Pop art and Cubism – in the work of Romero Britto. It is the union of two arts. The blending of two complimentary crafts. Hublot has developed two models with Britto, the Classic Fusion Enamel Britto, and the Classic Fusion Only Watch Britto, specially created for the Only Watch Auction, together with a unique painting by the artist.

AND THE WINNERS ARE... Hublot has decided to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iconic Big Bang by looking to the future and giving the talented designers of tomorrow an opportunity to gain recognition. The Hublot Design Prize was created to enable young designers to assert themselves through their creations and to gain public recognition. As such the panel of judges, composed of worldrenowned experts in the field of comtemporary design: Pierre Keller, Lapo Elkann, Ronan Bouroullec, Marva Griffin Wilshire and Professor Dr. Peter Zec. The Jury has chosen to award the Swiss Partnership Big Game and the Norwegian Daniel Rybakken.

U S A I N B O LT Hublot is very proud of its ambassador Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man, who won the 100-meter race at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing. The 29-year-old Jamaican sprinter locked up to the gold medal on the track where he first became Olympic champion seven years ago. He narrowly beat his rival finishing the race with his best time of the season: 9.79 seconds. The Jamaican star is the man who breaks records on the athletics tracks: with this 9th gold medal, he is now the most titled athlete in the history of IAAF World Championships and also the most titled Hublot ambassador.

K O B E B R YA N T When Basketball superstar Kobe Bryant joined the Hublot family 2 years ago, the Black Mamba was a natural fit, but he also discussed the relationship between basketball, watchmaking and wine; specifically, the dedication of the wine makers to making that perfect blend, the effort that goes into the maturation process and the attention to detail that goes into the art of watchmaking. This was all used to create Kobe’s second Hublot Timepiece, Vino.

JUSTIN ROSE Golf superstar Justin Rose who currently holds seventeen titles worldwide, including the 2013 U.S. Open established his golf career in 1998 at the British Open, and over the past seventeen years has reached astonishing achievements, including being named the third-ranked worldwide player in 2013 and winner of 2015 Hong Kong Open. As a 6-Time PGA Tour Champion, while holding seven victories on the European Tour, Rose and his new role as Brand Ambassador serve to further strengthen Hublot’s connection to professional athletics, specifically golf, as one of the world’s most popular sports. Aside from Rose’s golf achievements, he is celebrated as a philanthropist and a global statesman, making him the perfect ambassador for Hublot.

F L O Y D M AY W E AT H E R Hublot supported the 12-Time World Champion Floyd Mayweather during the Hall of Famer for the fight of the century match-up against Manny Pacquiao in May, in Las Vegas. To mark the occasion, Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe presented a King Power WBC Full PavĂŠ with Emeralds to the undefeated champion, who also worn the Hublot brand name on his boxing trunks during the fight.

DALLAS COWBOYS In 2015 Hublot became the first luxury brand to partner with a NFL team and the Official Timekeeper of the Dallas Cowboys. In November, the brand launched its latest timepiece with the Dallas Cowboys – the Big Bang Dallas Cowboys – the brand’s newest watch with America’s legendary football team.

D W YA N E WA D E As a celebrated NBA Finals MVP, Olympic Gold Medalist and 3-Time NBA Champion, Dwyane Wade has played for the Miami HEAT since he was drafted in 2003. Off the court, Dwyane is celebrated as a philanthropist, having established Wade’s World Foundation in 2003, and is recognized as a global trendsetter. His sense of style makes him the perfect fit for Hublot.

MICHAEL CLARKE As the first luxury brand to invest in cricket, Hublot was Official Timekeeper of the last cricket World Cup, and was visible on the scoreboards and throughout the VIP areas at all the grounds. Cricket provides a perfect geographic complement to football, a field in which Hublot has established itself as THE partner, and THE reference luxury watchmaking brand. The famous batsman Michael Clarke is Hublot’s ambassador in that field.

FERRARI AND HUBLOT RACE TO THE FINISH Hublot is the Official Timekeeper of Ferrari. It is a comprehensive 360° partnership covering all the activities of Ferrari both in terms of brand image and the commercial activities of the two companies. Hublot is actually present on Scuderia Ferrari cars, GT Championships, and runs events together with Ferrari owner’s club and Ferrari dealers. Events take place all year long with Ferrari hosting Hublot and with Hublot hosting Ferrari. New synergies are created and new sales territories are opening up, with the teams collaborating in markets now so familiar to each other.

SHAPING THE FUTURE Hublot and Ferrari are both pioneers in their fields. They share a respect for traditions and a belief that their futures are shaped by their ability to innovate. A new visual communication campaign to express the shared history of the two brands has been developed. It shows Maurizio Arrivabene – Scuderia Ferrari's Team Principal. He is the voice of experience, tradition and success. Forward-looking, he wears on his wrist a watch bearing the classic, distinctive hallmarks of Hublot's iconic Big Bang collection.

MP-05 LAFERRARI ALL BLACK A few years ago, Hublot unveiled the MP-05 LaFerrari. The watch and the car “LaFerrari� were developed - in technical and design terms - entirely in parallel, alongside the Ferrari teams. This Manufacture piece is composed of 637 components for the movement, which is equipped with a Tourbillon, as well as a power reserve of approximately 50 days, a world record. This year, Hublot launched an All Black version of its LaFerrari.

PELÉ Pelé. The King of Football. Does he need an introduction? He is considered the best player of all time. He is the only footballer to have been three-times world champion, in 1958, 1962 and 1970, with the Brazilian team. He amassed an incredible array of honours with the two professional clubs he played for (Santos FC and New York Cosmos), winning the Intercontinental Cup (1962 and 1963), the Copa Libertadores (1962 and 1963), the North American Soccer League (1977) and the São Paulo championship (ten times) in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

The external facade and the sales areas have been designed according to Hublot's cherished "Art of Fusion" concept, based on bringing tradition into the future. A subtle interplay of materials, fabrics and styles gives the store a luxurious and elegant ambiance. The combination offers a warm, gentle feel in nuances of grey and black. The walls are decorated with Pop Art inspired works that bring touches of bright colours and take an off-beat look at the brand's most famous models.

Adding two floors to the existing construction in 2015, Hublot expanded its surface to host even more guests. This year the brand also hosted a fantastic rock concert on the booth, making its VIP terrasse “the place to be� at the Basel Fair!

BIG BANG GRAND TOUR Hublot’s signature model is being celebrated with a series of worldwide Big Bang pop-up exhibits in honor of the anniversary. Various of exclusive events were held throughout the world, showcasing an interactive installation that allowed guests to experience the in-depth history and development of the Big Bang collections. Guests were immersed in a virtual journey around the brand’s DNA, as media and friends of Hublot explored the stories behind the brand’s unique designs and craftsmanship. Dynamic displays, stunning plasma globes, photographs, and videos helped illustrate this history. Guests also browsed through a series of "Manufacture" photographs, each representing a key stage in the design of a Big Bang watch shot by acclaimed Swiss photographer Fred Merz.
