EDITORIAL 2017 was once again a very busy and active year for Hublot that was marked by 2 main highlights: The celebration all around the world of our motto “The Art of Fusion” and the 70th anniversary of our main partner Ferrari. Hublot's story began with the Art of Fusion concept back in 1980, being the first watch brand to combine gold with natural rubber. However, “The Art of Fusion” finds its expression far beyond the materials, it’s a lifestyle, it’s a mind-set that guides all of Hublot's actions and partnerships. Since 2011, Hublot and Ferrari have been fusing the very best of watchmaking and automotive expertise by making uniquely designed watches characterized by innovation, excellence and performance. In 2017, to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Prancing Horse, Hublot launched the Techframe Ferrari Tourbillon Chronograph. To-date, the Hublot and Ferrari partnership has resulted in over 50 collaboration pieces. The 2017 year for Hublot, intense and as always, memorable!

TECHFRAME FERRARI TOURBILLON CHRONOGRAPH To celebrate Ferrari's 70th anniversary, the Italian brand and its partner Hublot have presented a new original collection. Conceived with the same approach used for designing a car at the Ferrari Design Centre and integrating Hublot’s watchmaking expertise, the Techframe Ferrari Tourbillon Chronograph opens a new chapter in the partnership that unites Hublot and Ferrari. The Techframe Ferrari is available in three versions — King Gold, PEEK Carbon, and Titanium. In october in Mexico, the Techframe Ferrari Tourbillon was awarded with the 2017 SIAR award in the sport watch category.

FERRARI Hublot is the official watch of the Scuderia Ferrari and Ferrari‘s official timekeeper. Official Timekeeper of the Ferrari Challenge and of the Competizioni GT, the watchmaker is visible on the track at the FIA World Endurance Championship on AF Corse’s #71 car. Hublot is also displayed on the drivers’ race suits, their helmets and their car, on the F1TM circuit. As the Official Timekeeper of Ferrari & Official Watch of the Scuderia Ferrari, Hublot's colours were highly visible on the Finali Mondiali circuit at the end of October in Mugello in Italy. The safety car, which featured in the many races held over the four-day event, was also decked out in Hublot colours.

MARTIN FUENTES Mexican driver Martin Fuentes, Friend of the Brand, is a Ferrari Challenge North America driver. In 2015, he was involved with car number 07 in the GTA category with Hublot and Scuderia Corsa Racing with Ferrari team within the Pirelli World challenge.

MP-05 LAFERRARI APERTA The MP-05 LaFerrari Aperta was inspired by the LaFerrari hybrid supercar from Ferrari. This hyperwatch exceeds all superlativeswith its 637 components and 50-day power reserve, an unbeaten record for a manual-winding tourbillon wristwatch. The watch features a red stripe, echoing the design of the racing car from which it takes its name. It is the finest example of the alliance between motoring and watchmaking!

2018 FIFA WORLD CUP ONE YEAR TO GO On 16 June 2017, in the heart of Moscow, Hublot inaugurated its new store in the historic Metropol building. It is no coincidence that Hublot chose this precise moment in time. Just 1 year from the FIFA World Cup™, the World Cup record-holder Pelé together with Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot and Philippe Le Floc’h, CCO of FIFA attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony to the sound of a whistle, signalling once again Hublot’s uncompromising commitment to football. 2017 FIFA CONFEDERATIONS CUP From 14 June to 15 July 2018, Russia will host the 21st FIFA World CupTM but before this, in June 2017, was celebrated the kick-off of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 that saw World Champions Germany win. As Hublot continues to reign supreme in the world of timepieces and football, the brand had high visibility during the tournament with its 4th official boards and the launch of a Big Bang watch with straps bearing the colours of the 8 nations of the Confederations Cup.

JUVENTUS FC Hublot has been the Official Timekeeper of the Juventus Football Club since 2012. On July 20th, Hublot welcomed the world-renowned football club to New York City, where the team kicked off their U.S. tour for the International Champions Cup against FC Barcelona, who they beat in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. As a 34-time Italian Champion, 11-time winner of the Italian Cup and 2-time winner of the UEFA Champions League, the "Old Lady" of Italian football chose Hublot to accompany it in the conquest of national and international titles.

CHELSEA FC Having dominated English football this season, Antonio Conte's Blues have recently made history by winning their sixth English league title. In November, Hublot and Premier League champion Chelsea FC have teamed up to celebrate the second chapter of their incredible story. Always blue, but now in a Big Bang! After the successful launch of the Classic Fusion Chronograph Chelsea FC in 2016, the Big Bang Chelsea FC has been revealed at the home of “The Blues”’, in Stamford Bridge.

He is considered by many to be the best tactician in the world. The perfect Ambassador for Hublot since 2014. Leading Premier League club Manchester United since 2016, he won the UEFA Europa League Championship on 24 May 2017, courtesy of a 2–0 win over AFC Ajax. This was Mourinho's second major trophy of his first season as Manchester United manager. It also maintained his 100% record of winning every major European Cup final as a manager.

DIEGO MARADONA Many in the sport, including football writers, players, and fans, regard Diego Maradona as the greatest football player of all time. This living football legend is a Hublot brand ambassador since 2010. In 2017, the Argentinian footballer was present at the FIFA World Cup Draw in Moscow and was very excited about the upcoming planetary event.

HUBLOT GOLDEN FOOT AWARD The Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas has been chosen by fans as the Hublot Golden Foot best player during a ceremony in Monaco in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, awarding the stars of football. For the second time, Hublot has committed to the Golden Foot organisation and its President and Founder, Antonio Caliendo, with the goal of supporting this “democratic” award. The victory of 36-year-old Spaniard Casillas crowns an exceptional career. He has accumulated three Champions League titles with Real Madrid as well as two European Championships and one World Cup with the Spanish team.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Hublot, Timekeeper and Official Licensed Watch for the UEFA Champions LeagueTM and partner of several clubs that competed in the 2017 Champions League, was part of all the matches. On the pitch, the watchmaker sequenced the final to the rhythm of its fourth official panel up to the conclusion of stoppage time. Played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on 3rd June 2017, between Italian Club Juventus and Spanish side and title holders Real Madrid, in a repeat of the 1998 final, the game was brilliantly won by the Spanish Club 4-1.

CLASSIC FUSION CHRONOGRAPH UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE

UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE Since 2015 Hublot has been part of the excitement as the Official Licensed Watch of the UEFA Europa League. In November the brand unveiled the first official licensed watch of the UEFA Europa League, a Classic Fusion Chronograph UEFA Europa League in the competition’s signature colours. This tournament is considered as one of the most prestigious in the world. Since 2015 the winner automatically qualifies for the UEFA Champions League, making it a springboard for clubs. Hublot will also be visible pitch side timing the UEFA Europa League matches with designed referee boards to indicate extra time and player changes.

JUSTIN ROSE In Hong Kong, Olympic Champion Justin Rose, who channeled the form that carried him to major championship and Olympic Games glory, joined hands to present the Big Bang Unico Golf, a new timepiece tailor made for golfers. "It has been a very successful 2017 season, and it is great to take some of this good form back to a place I have such fond memories of, having won in Hong Kong before. PATRICK REED Hublot welcomed US golfing sensation, Patrick Reed, as its newest brand ambassador in August 2017. The 27-year-old is one of the most respected players in the world, and is much-celebrated as the USA’s leading points scorer in both Ryder Cups he has contested. Christened "Captain America" by his compatriots and peers, for his competitiveness, patriotism, and team spirit on the course, Reed has one of the most impressive records in world golf; the youngest winner of the WGC-Cadillac Championship in 2014 – a signature moment in his nascent career – and only the fifth player to win three PGA Tour titles before his 24th birthday.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER In August, Hublot announced its second partnership with boxing great Floyd “Money” Mayweather, the undefeated, 12-time world champion, for his fight against UFC® mega-star Conor McGregor. The bout took place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in an event produced and distributed by SHOWTIME PPV®. On this occasion, Mayweather once again sported Hublot across the waistband of his boxing trunks as he entered the ring and the American veteran ended his all-time great career undefeated after beating a tougher than expected Conor McGregor with a 10th round TKO.

GOLOVKIN His initials have earned him the nickname of “Triple G.” Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin is a professional boxer from Kazakhstan and current middle weight world champion in four different federations: WBA, WBC, IBO and IBF. His record speaks for itself: 37 victories, of which 33 by K.O., and zero defeat! In March, Hublot was thrilled to announce GGG as its new brand ambassador. From fist to wrist, only a couple of inches, GGG will no doubt be “on Hublot time” with the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph “Gennady Golovkin”, limited to 100 pieces.

USAIN BOLT Usain Bolt has enjoyed a career which has not only made him a legendary athlete, but also one of the greatest sportsmen of all time! He holds 8 Olympic medals and 11 World Championship titles! Usain Bolt is the only athlete to have defended his gold medal over three consecutive Olympics, even going as far as beating three records in one Olympiad! In September, Bolt traveled all the way to Kyoto in order to celebrate the opening of a new Hublot Boutique. During this event, Bolt and Hublot created a charity run, whereby Hublot agreed to donate JPY 2,000,000 to Gion Minamigawa Chiku Machizukuri Kyogikai, a non-profit organization which maintains the historical scenery in the Gion area and preserves traditional Japanese culture to next generations.

SIMONA HALEP Very popular in her motherland, Simona Halep grew up in Constanta on the Black Sea and began to play tennis when she was 4. She turned professional in 2008 and first broke into the world’s Top 50 in 2012. 2014 was a landmark year for Simona who reached both the French Open and WTA Finals to become world #2, the best ranking of her career. Simona Halep has already won 15 single titles in her career and is now ranked world #1. Winner of 9 singles titles and 5 double titles since 2013, Karolína Plíšková has pursued her rise in the WTA Rankings over the years, ending World #11 in 2015 and World #6 in 2016. In 2017, she won 3 singles titles (Brisbane, Doha and Eastbourne) and is now World #3. Not only a successful tennis player, Karolína Plíšková is also an accomplished woman as well as a generous and charitable individual, who launched the Karolína Plíšková Endowment Fund to help the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Department of Motol University Hospital in Prague.

HUBLOT POLO GOLD CUP For the 9th consecutive year, from the 17th to the 20th August, Gstaad and the surrounding fields of its airport were transformed into Argentinian-style pampas. 6000 spectators felt the ground shake as 16 of the top Polo players on the circuit took to the fields creating a blur of hooves and mallets, all sporting the colours of the Hublot Polo Gold Cup. The winner of this year was “Banque Eric Sturdza” who beated “Riva” to secure overall victory. As the tournament's Official Timekeeper, Hublot and its Classic Fusion Chronograph Chukker – a bi-compax chronograph – counted the 7.5 minutes of each of the 24 chukkers played during the competition.

MICHAEL CLARKE Hublot has been the first luxury brand to enter the world of cricket, taking up the role as Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the International Cricket Council and ICC Cricket World Cup in 2015. Australian team captain Michael Clarke and explosive Indian cricketer batsman Rohit Sharma are part of the Hublot family as brand ambassadors. As part of this collaboration with cricket, Hublot has announced a partnership with Cricket Australia to take part into the Ashes Series 2017-18.

KJETIL JANSRUD Friend of the brand since January, Kjetil Jansrud is a Norwegian World Cup alpine ski racer and Olympic champion. He races in all alpine disciplines apart slalom, and his best event used to be the giant slalom where he has 6 World Cup podiums and an Olympic silver medal. However, since 2012 he has become more of a speed specialist, having won eleven of his thirteen World Cup victories in the speed events.

BIG BANG UNICO BLUE SAPPHIRE For Hublot, it seems there are no limits when it comes to colour. Hublot has now fused sapphire and metals to create a Big Bang case in blue sapphire. Hublot has pushed the limits of engineering and chemistry, it has developed a sophisticated and costly process that has resulted in the successful production of a large, transparent sapphire of perfectly uniform colour. Hublot melted iron (Fe) with aluminium oxide. The result is a coloured sapphire that retains all the original properties of a material which is ultra-scratch resistant, completely transparent and among the hardest in existence. The innovation extends to the colour — the first blue sapphire in the history of watchmaking.

BIG BANG UNICO GMT Today, we board an aircraft like we get in a car, travelling constantly back and forth between time zones. GMT has proven to be one of the most useful and frequently used complications, hence the need to simplify its operation and make it easier to read. With its trademark ingenuity, Hublot has simplified the use of a complex complication: GMT From one time zone to another, at the push of a button. The Hublot Unico manufacture movement is equipped with a new patented proprietary module which enables the second time zone to be updated instantly by a push-button, allowing the local time to be read easily via the conventional main hand of the watch. The time at home is indicated using a second arrow-shaped hour hand, which integrates a day/night indicator and is set using the crown. 102 HUBLOT MAGAZINE

MANUFACTURE The Hublot Manufacture achieves a perfect blend of modernity and the art of traditional watchmaking. Though it produces traditional mechanical movements using principles dating back over 300 years, Hublot uses the latest technologies, materials and processes to create unique timepieces. In 2015, in order to keep pace with increasing demand and maintain the vertical growth of its production, Hublot inaugurated its second building—just 6 years after opening its plant in 2009. This doubled the surface area of the production center in Nyon.

MP-09 TOURBILLON BI-AXIS With its new Manufacture Piece (MP), Hublot is pushing back the boundaries in terms of multi-axis tourbillons. The MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis is thus the result of a powerful idea: to provide a maximum of visibility on the tourbillon—and its fascinating double rotation—by designing a fine watchmaking movement devoted to this objective, and then creating an original case that highlights the 100% Manufacture calibre. Here, the function defines the form. RED DOT AWARD After having examined the 5,500 creations of participants from 54 different countries, a jury of 40 professors, journalists and independent designers chose to give the highest distinction of the Red Dot Awards: Product Design, "the Red Dot: Best of the Best 2017" to the Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 Magic Gold watch. The Red Dot Award is a competition organised by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany. It was created in 1955 by rewarding for the first time the most worthy designs of the period. Since the nineties, Professor Doctor Peter Zec has taken this institution to the top at an international level. A Red Dot Award is like an Oscar in the film world, it is the ultimate award. BEST BUDDIES Founded in 1989, Best Buddies is a wonderful charity providing friendship and opportunities to many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and with special needs. Hublot has been committed to Best Buddies for years and is glad to continue its partnership both to raise money and awareness for them so that they can further their mission. Today, Best Buddies engage participants in each of the 50 states and in nearly 50 countries, positively impacting the lives of more than 1.1 million people.

ONLY WATCH Since 2005, Hublot has been working alongside Only Watch to support the courage and determination both of children suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and of future generations, and so that, one day, research will triumph over this disease. For the 2017 edition, Hublot chose his ambassador Usain Bolt, who symbolizes victory, courage, determination to create a piece to be auctioned. Inspired by one of champion Usain Bolt's favourite models, the Big Bang Unico Sapphire Usain Bolt for Only Watch is emblazoned with the Jamaican sprinter's trademark gold and vibrant colours. A symbol of victory to adorn the wrist. Completely smashing the estimated target by tripling it, the watch raised 150,000 CHF at the charity auction organised by Christie’s for Only Watch, with 99% of the money raised going directly towards research into fighting Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

BLACK JAGUAR WHITE TIGER The Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation is a non-profit organization operated in the United States and Mexico, started by Hublot Ambassador, Eduardo Serio, who runs the charity with the help of devoted friends around the world. Eduardo and his team have rescued and currently care for over 240 big felines, including jaguars, tigers, leopards, lynxes, lions, and pumas from a life of abuse in circuses, at zoos and from breeders. In addition to their rescue efforts, the organization works to raise awareness and encourage policy reform to protect our planet and the animals that inhabit it. In October, Hublot hosted a charity dinner and auction to raise money for the Foundation (BJWT) at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas.

DEPECHE MODE Hublot and Depeche Mode have been partners since 2010. At this year’s Baselfair, the brand has launched a new “watch for water”, the Big Bang Unico Depeche Mode. This new limited edition watch was created to celebrate the band’s new album Spirit and their 2017 Global Spirit Tour. The sale of the watch has raised funds for charity: water, a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Key highlight of the partnership with the band this year was a private concert for Hublot’s friends during Baselworld. The English pop rock group offered up the first songs from their new album Spirit. To the sound of the song “Where is the Revolution?” Depeche Mode confirmed that the Basel revolution certainly took place on Thursday, March 23rd beneath the Hublot flag.

LANG LANG Lang Lang, the world famous pianist, joined the Hublot family in January 2015. The ChineseAmerican chose the Swiss brand because it is true to his character. Like him it respects tradition and connects it to the future. The Chinese virtuoso, the coolest musician in the world, likes to shake up codes and reinvent the great classics. The young maestro has been setting the ivories on fire since he was five, and is leaving his mark of talent and freedom on two limited editions that he has created with Hublot.

CHEN MAN When light and shade are captured in the change of time, photography is no longer simply recording time. The essence of art connects with innovative concepts in a blink of eyes, becoming an artistic language that bridges eastern and western language. Hublot ambassador Chen Man is an international visual artist who perfectly represents this blend. Her distinctive personal style has endowed her work with a unique expression - an one-of-a-kind celebration of the art fusion between eastern and western cultures. The dial of the Big Bang One Click Chen Man, with engraved shy buds, bloomed corolla, fluttering peach leaves and plump fruits, respectively at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock position, carries a profound meaning. ROMERO BRITTO Born in Brazil and living in Miami, Romero Britto is an international artist who uses vibrant, bold and colorful patterns to reflect his optimistic view of the world. Britto has created a visual language of hope and happiness on its own that is relatable to all. His appreciation of masters, such as Picasso or Matisse, influenced him to create an iconic style that The New York Times described, « exudes warmth, optimism and love ». Britto’s work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in over 100 countries, including the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-arts at the Caroussel du Louvre. The Classic Fusion Enamel Britto is the fusion of arts and crafts. A link between a traditional art – "grand feu" enamelling – and contemporary art movements – Pop Art and Cubism. It is the union of two arts. The blending of two complementary crafts

SANG BLEU The founder of the Sang Bleu London tattoo studio, Maxime Buchi has claimed his singularity through the tattoos that have established him as an influential figure in fashion. A graphic designer and typographer trained at the ECAL university of art and design, the Lausanne native has since set up in London where his artistic impulsions are expressed on skin itself. Tattooing – a sacred art, an embodiment of right of passage, a symbol of ownership, venerated and often stigmatised – has existed since prehistory. A tradition that innovation has written into the future. In 2017, Hublot has launched different new models with the artist, amongst which the Big Bang One-Click Sang Bleu Steel Diamonds.

HUBLOT DESIGN PRIZE For its third edition, the Hublot Design Prize took place at the prestigious Serpentine Gallery in London. This year, the Prize was awarded to Carolien Niebling and her masterful project, The Future Sausage. The jury also honored the work of Jessi Reaves with a special CHF 25,000 prize. This prize is considered to be a career booster with the aim of shining a light on the talent of an already accomplished designer, by offering them the exposure they need to have. A prize that rewards design in the Hublot spirit, that seeks designers with an innovative way of thinking and creating; an anti-conformist and pioneering form of expression, the desire to constantly push boundaries, and go beyond what already exists.

BIG BANG CALAVERAS The popularity of the skull motif, celebrated in contemporary art, design, and fashion, extends beyond the realm of rockers and bad boys and bears a positive message. With this limited edition Big Bang Calaveras, Hublot is paying tribute to one of the most popular holidays in Mexico, "El DĂ­a de los Muertos", which translates to Day of the Dead. This celebration may seem morbid but is in actual fact, the celebration of life. Embodying the positive attitude of the brand, the skull designed by Hublot is adorned with floral and carved motifs, engraved into the material like embroidery. The Big Bang Calaveras is an ode to freedom and to life!

In December, Hublot hosted its annual “Hublot Loves Art” dinner during the Art week in Miami in the presence of superstar Ricky Martin in celebration of the brand’s new collaboration with French Artist Richard Orlinski. The event took place on the roof of the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), the iconic, sleek waterfront museum that features modern and contemporary international artwork situated on Biscayne Bay. On this occasion, Hublot revealed the amazing new Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski, which brings to life the artist's graphic universe. Richard Orlinski’s sculpting talent and Hublot’s watchmaking expertise have created a multifaceted watch with a bold design to celebrate Hublot Loves Art in Miami. This week of art-related events also brought together street artists Hush and Tristan Eaton for the launch of “Fame vs. Fortune”; a limited-edition art timepiece concept.

ITALIA INDEPENDENT What do you get when you mix the watchmaking expertise of Hublot, the limitless creativity of Italia Independent through its founder Lapo Elkann, and the treasures of the famous Italian tailor Rubinacci? The Art of Fusion! Since 2014, two collections have been born from the partnership between Hublot, Italia Independent and Lapo Elkann. Although both of the previous collections were based on the legendary Big Bang Unico model, this time the magic of this wildly creative team was unleashed on the Classic Fusion model. Its name seems to have predestined it for this new special edition: there has never been such a fine example of the fusion of the 'classic' and innovation. The House of Rubinacci holds the most beautiful collection of fabrics in its archives. It was here, in the more than 60,000 square meters of precious houndstooth, tweeds and other cloths that Hublot and Lapo Elkann found a collection of tartans—squared coloured wool weaves from the seventies—that they brought back to life by including them in the Classic Fusion as a chronograph.

BAR REFAELI The first feminine face of Hublot since 2015, Bar Refaeli embodies the multiplicity, the uniqueness, the strength and the greatness of women. Famous fashion model, young mother, influential businesswoman, actress and TV presenter, she was voted the world’s most beautiful woman. In March, to celebrate the International Woman’s day, the supermodel paid a visit to Hublot’s Geneva boutique for a friendly and informal gathering.

ANDREAS CAMINADA Andreas Caminada’s cuisine has already seduced the world. Described as a countryman who works with local products and grows some of it, his cuisine has absolute watchmaking precision. He likes simple and natural things. An international reference, he is the youngest chef in Europe to have won a third Michelin star, which he did 7 years ago, and his 19 Gault & Millau points and stars have launched him to the firmament of gastronomy. He skilfully combines audacity, innovation and tradition. The collaboration between Andreas Caminada and Hublot is an emulation to follow closely.

BERLUTI Hublot and Berluti: the union between these two big names in watchmaking and shoemaking is patently obvious. Berluti makes shoes for men who swear by its emblematic Venezia leather— whose patina is the result of constant research—and will wear nothing else. Perfecting the panoply of the modern man, relying on age-old Swiss watchmaking tradition, Hublot has been pursuing its quest for continuous innovation for over thirty years by inventing iconic designs, investing in the search for new materials and beating mechanical records. In December in Paris, at Place Vendôme, the two brands unveiled the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Berluti with a dial in leather marked with the famous Scritto motif and an aperture at 6 o’clock which reveals the magic of a tourbillon that was entirely developed and produced in-house by the engineers and watchmakers of the Hublot Manufacture.

FUENTE During the centenary of Arturo Fuente cigars in 2012, the two brands decided to become partners, brought together by their shared desire in their own field, to stretch the demonstration of excellence. In 2017, a new creation pays tribute to this common love of fine craftsmanship: the Classic Fusion Fuente. The case, bezel and crown are finely engraved, paying tribute to the Fuente house. The case presents a drawing of tobacco leaves whereas the bezel reproduces a motif reminiscent of the earthenware tiles adorning the floors of the old colonial houses of Havana and incorporating the letter X, emblem of the Fuente family.
