Freshers’ Fayre Monday 19 September. 10am until 1pm Around 400 new students are due to start at University Campus Barnsley in September. Make sure they think of you when they are here! Plans for Freshers’ 2011 are now well underway and stalls for this year’s Freshers’ Fayre are going fast. Book your stall now for the most effective face-to-face marketing opportunity you will have to reach new students arriving in Barnsley. Stalls are free of charge but limited! If you cannot commit to a stall, then worry not. We have goodies bags to distribute to students over Freshers’ week and there’s no reason why you can’t send us some giveaways (along with some information), so you can be assured your message will still reach the students.
Common Room Media Activity Students at Barnsley have all day access to the SU common room with computers, pool table, chill out sofas and a plasma tv. Make the most of this captive audience and extend your presence on campus for the whole of Freshers’. Terms & Conditions of Booking Please take time to read the following guidelines. These are set out to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you at all times. Failure to comply with any of the terms and conditions may lead to your exclusion from the event. 1. Booking forms should be returned to Matt Short. 2. Only trestle tables provided by the venue can be used unless prior approval has been given. 3. A maximum of 3 persons are permitted to occupy a stall at any one time, unless prior approval has been given. 4. All stall holders are to remain within their own allocated area. 5. For safety reasons please ensure that the area directly around your area is clear of rubbish at all times. All rubbish should be placed in the appropriate bins provided. 6. Stall Holders are responsible at all times for the safety and security of their property. Students’ Union Barnsley cannot be held responsible for any matters outside of our control. 7. All Stall holders may only use their stall to exhibit their own products, services and promotions and not of those of a third party. 8. Large sound systems are not permitted. 9. Stall holders are not permitted to use any form of naked flame within the venue. A no smoking policy will be in operation at all times. 10. Any information collected by stall holders may only be used by that exhibitor and may not be passed on to or sold to any third party. All stall holders are required to comply with the data protection act in relation to any data collected or obtained at the Freshers’ Fayre. 11. All stall holders planning on giving away food or drink must inform the Students’ Union prior to the event. 12. All stall holders are not permitted to sell any food or drink. 13. Alcohol cannot be sold or given out by any stall holder under any circumstances. 14. Public sensitivity should be considered before the distribution of promotional material. Students’ Union Barnsley reserves the right to remove any material and refuse admission. 15.
