A Letter From
the
Founders
It’s our first anniversary! Hudson + West Co. has officially made it one revolution around the sun, and what a strange and wild year it’s been. It has been both better and harder than our wildest dreams, as our world has broadened and shrank and broadened again, but as we look back, we keep coming back to one word for how we feel: gratitude. For this Autumn/Winter2020 collection, we’ve turned back to the things that bring us comfort and joy, and to the ideas that animated us from the beginning. Cables and texture, thoughtful tailoring and effortless wearability, garments and accessories we hope you’ll love to make and love to wear for years to come. Our dear friends at Harper Point Photography made our vision come to life with their signature touch of intimacy and authenticity from a safe social distance in California’s Topatopa Mountains. Even as the days shorten and the darkness of winter approaches, their striking images fill us with a sense of expansiveness and possibility. And at the end of a very long week, that sense of openness and possibility is precisely what we’re feeling and reaching for, as we collectively start to exhale a breath we’ve been holding for quite some time. The road ahead is long and full of uncertainty, but we feel hopeful and connected, finding comfort in our making, and in sharing it with the people we love. We are so excited to share this special collection with you, in hope for the future, in love, and most importantly, in gratitude for being with you on this journey. With love, Meghan + Sloane

The Collection
Marley Sloane Rosenthal
Sloane Rosenthal
Marley We love Forge as a sweater yarn, but we’re particularly partial to it in cabled sweaters. Co-founder Sloane Rosenthal’s Marley pullover uses bold, graphic diagonal cables and a deep v-neck to put a modern, effortlessly wearable spin on the classic cabled pullover. Tailored shoulder and a gentle A-line make for a great fit, while a slightly larger than usual needle choice produces a lighter fabric with easy drape. Stockinette sleeves and back simplify the knitting and keeps the focus on the showstopping front. View Design Specs // Made in Forge
Brewster Cheryl Toy
Cheryl Toy
Brewster A snuggly, warm cabled cardigan just in time for the big cold! Brewster is made for anyone who enjoys wrapping up in cables and shawl collars for the winter months ahead. This seamless cardgian is worked from the bottom up with clever button band and pocket construction. Brewster makes a statement in our new-for-fall 2020 mustard coloway, showing off the bands of vertical, textured cables. View Design Specs // Made in Forge
Mason Emily Greene
Emily Greene
Mason Get cozy with Mason by Emily Greene, a squishy autumnal classic made in our soft + durable Forge in new-for-fall 2020 color, tobacco. The delicious brioche stitch ribbing and Emily’s signature traveling stitches make this design both visually compelling and a comforting cocoon for workfrom-home + weekend life. This pullover is made in pieces from the bottom up; the neckband is picked up and worked in the round after blocking and seaming. View Design Specs // Made in Forge
Quinn Rachel Brockman
Rachel Brockman
Quinn Wrap up in Quinn by Rachel Brockman, a cable + texture cocoon cardigan made for work-from-home, millennial offices, and weekend life. Made in our soft + stitch defining Forge, the cable + texture motifs pop off the fabric for a luscious and uber-squishy feel. This cardigan is made in pieces and seamed with a provided construction diagram for ease of assembly. View Design Specs // Made in Forge
Jackson Meghan Babin
Meghan Babin
Jackson Casual, handsome, and sophisticated—Jackson by cofounder Meghan Babin hits all the marks for a regal, shawl collar pullover that easily goes from work to weekend. The pullover features full-fashioned shoulders, a garter stitch shawl collar finished with an I-cord edge, and linear cables for a strikingly unique design. Optional tubular cast ons are provided for an extra polished look. View Design Specs // Made in Forge
Dakota Nina Talbot
Nina Talbot
Dakota What’s more comforting than a big, squishy, comforting scarf to wrap up in on chilly days? Dakota by Nina Talbot is a grandly-sized scarf/stole for crisp fall days to bitter winter nights. This 2x2 rib + cable scarf is an intuitive and fun design to keep your fingers busy this fall! The scarf is worked in one-piece from the bottom up; the cable charts are mirrored at each end to create visually symmetrical balance. View Design Specs // Made in Weld
Morgan Emily Greene
Emily Greene
Morgan We’re all about hats at H+W, and Emily Greene always has another snuggly knit hat up her sleeves. Morgan is a two-fer cabled beanie or watchcap, featuring interlocking, criss-cross cables around the body. This hat is worked from the bottom upin the round, starting with an optional tubularcast on. Sized inclusively for every head, this hat is beckoning for the front line in your autumn/winter hat rotation. View Design Specs // Made in Weld
Sydney Kate Oates
Kate Oates
Sydney Sydney by Kate Oates is a form-fitting (if you so desire), voluptuous cowl neck pullover perfect for the chilly fall weather. The construction of this sweater is the focus point and fun puzzle of this sweater—the set-in sleeves are worked in the round! Yes, the sleeves, back, and front are all joined at the underarm and then worked contiguously. The glorious cowl is picked up and worked in the round. All you have to do is find the perfect buttons for this star piece of knitwear! View Design Specs // Made in Forge
Oakley Sloane Rosenthal
Sloane Rosenthal
Oakley Warm and densely cabled, Oakley by co-founder Sloane Rosenthal is a modern, graphic hat for everyone. Luxiuriate in the opulent double-brim slouch in the coldest climes, or keep things a little trimmer in the understated beanie option. Engaging to knit and dramatic to wear, Oakley is hat you’ll treasure for winters to come. View Design Specs // Made in Forge
Rory Sarah Shepherd
Sarah Shepherd
Rory Wood grain, fallen leaves, and wheat grass are all conjured to mind in Rory. The central panel of twisted, traveling stitches mimics the things we love most about fall. The shaped drop shoulder and nubbly welts of garter add both visually pleasing fabric and ease of wear. This cozy pullover is made in pieces from the bottom up and seamed, then the collar is picked up and worked in the round. View Design Specs // Made in Weld
