Fine American Yarns From sheep to skein, attention to detail is our mission. Our signature blend of 70% U.S. Merino and 30% U.S. Corriedale is sourced from trusted wool pools in New Mexico and Colorado (for our fine Merino), and upstate New York (for our Corriedale). Forge and Weld, our worsted and finger weight yarns, were crafted by our founders to to balance softness and durability, for heirloom quality garments and accessories to last for years, but remain next-to-skin wearable. Our semi-worsted spun base lends itself to texture, cables, colorwork, and plain stockinette stitch. Its gentle haze provides a perfect base for impresionistic colorwork and sharp cables, alike. This collection features a range of our favorite textures and cables, but stay tuned: there’s even more colorful work on the horizon very soon.

H+W Colors At Hudson + West, we are all about deep, rich, alluring colors. Our range of deeply saturated shades is dyed over our light grey base yarn, allowing the lovely underlying heathers—and the blend of Corriedale and Merino fibers—to shine through. The results are spectacularly complex colors with heathered tonality throughout the palette. As much as we love each of our eight overdyed shades, our natural, undyed colors are a core part of our vision as well, and these first designs showcase our natural shades, foregrounding the subtle blends of our signature heathers. This allows you, dear knitter, to pick your own color adventure! We can’t wait to see what you choose to recreate the designs in the following pages. Our 13 premiere colors from the top, from left to right: barn red, red feather, gold leaf, juniper, evergreen, lake, midnight, jam, charcoal, ash, fawn, and aspen. Raven (black), not shown.
