A Letter From
the
Founders
Spring is an annual celebration of new growth, hope, and light. These quintessential aspects of the spring season take on a entirely fresh perspective this year as we emerge back into the world + each other, reaching for our loved ones and finding comfort in those people, places, and passions we’ve had to retreat from for so long. For Spring 2021, we’ve drawn inspiration from the comforts of home, particularly the ways so many of us have brought the outside into our interior worlds in the last year, surrounding ourselves with verdant plants and other signs of nature. Succulents, vines, and fig trees alike have charmed us with evidence of growth and joy and fresh air amid in this very strange year. In this collection of nine fresh knits for spring there is something for everyone, featuring the textures + cables, thoughtful silhouettes, and tidy finishing techniques you’ve come to expect from Hudson + West Co. designs. Thanks to new + cherished Friends of the Flock Lana Jois, Sarah Shepherd, Jesie Ostermiller, Laura Reinbach, Susanna IC, Brenda K.B. Anderson, and Samantha Guerin for contributing designs to this beautiful collection. We hope these designs inspire you as much as they do us! With love, Meghan + Sloane

Meghan Babin
Huck Huck, by Meghan Babin, is the simple sweatshirt-style knit that’s been in her design queue forever. It finally took a request for a “simple sweater” from a friend, and Huck was born. It’s a super wearable, everyday sweater, featuring a thoughtful detail at the collar, a modified drop shoulder, and waist shaping that nips in at the hips just a bit for a classic menswear look. The pattern is written with options for working with + without shaping. Huck is made in pieces from the bottom up and seamed, and the collar is picked up + worked in the round. Samantha Guerin
