SPRINGLEAF MASTERPLAN A COMPEITION ENTRY WITH A SITE AT THE BARE AND HILLY SPRINGLEAF REGION. LOCATED NEAR A SWAMP, THE DESIGN IS CRUCIAL IN ACKNOWLEDGING AND RESPONDING TO ITS ECOLOGICAL CONDITIONS.

THE KALLANG AND KOLAM AYER INDUSTRIAL ESTATES ARE TYPICALLY SINGLE USE SILOS CONSISTING OF FACTORIES. BOTH SITES ARE SURROUNDED BY RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT, SEPARATED BY A ROAD OF THE KALLANG RIVER. THERE IS HENCE A GREAT POTENTIAL TO RELATE THEM IN A MEANINGFUL WAY TO THE ADJACENT DEVELOPMENTS. THE AIM OF THE MASTERPLAN IS TO CREATE AN INTEGRATED NETWORK THAT CONNECTS THE MACPHERSON AND KALLANG ESTATES VIA THE KALLANG RIVER CONNECTOR, ONE THAT IS ABLE TO OVERCOME THE VAST NUMBER OF VEHICULAR ROADS.
