A TOAST TO EXCELLENCE Following a great success in 2015, Human Resources magazine is proud to return with the second edition of the Asia Recruitment Awards to recognise organisations that have done their best towards measurable success through sound and innovative talent acquisition strategies. As the only regional awards show which recognises and celebrates excellence in talent acquisition and recruitment, we were heartened to witness a huge leap in entries in 2016 compared with last year. The number of companies participating in the Asia Recruitment Awards this year has increased by more than 50%, while the total number of entries has almost tripled – casting light on just how important recruitment is to the success of any organisation’s people processes.

The Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 jury was composed of highly respected HR leaders from major organisations who are passionate about excellent human capital management. It is no easy feat to evaluate HR processes and systems put a high level of quality in the evaluation process through a stringent and careful study of each entry. The Asia Recruitment Awards sets out to honour and recognise outstanding HR practices across 22 categories, and while achieving that, tonight is equally a platform for all of you to network and learn from each other’s successes. The stories behind each campaign nominated for an award – the months of hard work, the managing of stakeholders, the wrangling for resources, and much more that happens behind the scenes – hold adequate lessons for all of us, and makes the recognition that much sweeter. So let’s get set for a night of celebration, and raise a toast to all those front runners leading the field of recruitment with programmes that attract exemplary talent.
