Mannaz Offices Mannaz Associates

Mannaz – Enabling real achievement Mannaz is recognised as a global frontrunner in developing leaders. Established in Denmark in 1975, we have over four decades of experience working with the world’s best-known companies to help them develop the managers and leaders they need to succeed. Today we serve our clients through our offices in Copenhagen, Malmö, London and Hong Kong. IMPACT ON PERFORMANCE Mannaz is famous for creating immediate positive impact on management, leadership and most importantly business performance. Our secret is to encourage participants to bring their real-life, real-time issues, challenges and opportunities into the ‘learning journey’ and use these as the vehicles for learning. RELEVANCE NOT REVERENCE Rather than reverently using business school models and theories, Mannaz uses ideas and principles we believe are truly relevant to our clients ‘right here and right now’. We take the time to understand each client’s unique situation so we can tailor our approach accordingly.

FAST AND EFFICIENT Whilst we develop fully bespoke initiatives when required, we build most of our programmes in a modular way. This enables us to build and customise them much faster and at lower cost whilst still meeting the client’s needs.

WORLD CLASS QUALITY Above all, Mannaz is known for the high quality of the learning experiences we create. We do this through innovative, elegant design and through the excellence of the facilitators and coaches we engage. In both our in-house team and our global associate network, we work only with the best and most experienced individuals. 2 | TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT ASIA 2016

EDITOR’S NOTE

LEADING AND LEARNING Welcome to the inaugural edition of Training & Development Asia Hong Kong. It has not been an easy year so far for businesses as the gloomy global economy continues to put pressure on hiring and business expansion plans.

You will also hear successful cases on how organisations transform their talent through training via keynote presentations and panel discussions. The conference also presents the perfect chance for regional learning leaders to network and learn from the successful L&D strategies of other organisations.

But I think learning and training budgets are something smart businesses won’t try to tighten. After all, it is important to upgrade and update talent for them to remain competitive in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing business environment.

Time and again, research has shown the learning opportunities and chances for advancement are two of the most important factors to retain talent.

Giving someone job skills simply isn’t enough to keep them engaged anymore. Today’s young generation of candidates are looking for how their work is going to work for them personally.

With higher expectations from younger generations on training, I believe this conference will provide you with valuable insights on how to groom the perfect talent for your organisation.

If your learning and development functions align the work experience with employees’ personal ambitions, you will have a far stronger retention rate.

We hope you enjoy the event and we look forward to hearing your feedback.

Building a pipeline of talent will continue to be the top priority for organisations. Advancement in technology and enhanced knowledge on how the human brain works have brought new insights into how training and development programmes can be designed to produce the greatest impact. The desire for professionals to continue to learn and enhance themselves is the very reason why we host the conference. Today, you will hear from training and development experts on how to make use of the latest technology and scientific findings to produce the most effective learning experience.
