Editor’s note

KEEPING UP IN A MOBILE WORLD Technology and demographic shifts have brought fundamental changes to the business world. With talent being more mobile than ever before, the ability of organisations to manage their global talent efficiently will mark the difference between success and failure. Today’s top talent follow their own agenda and opportunities, and are willing to take up opportunities that can help their career advance regardless of geographical locations.

forward to round table discussions taking place throughout the day in between lively on-stage panel sessions. Each table will have a moderator and be allotted adequate time to share their views, ensuring you get the most out of the event by engaging in valuable two-way discussions. As you settle in this morning, we in the Human Resources team look forward to meeting all of you. Do enjoy the conference, and as always, we look forward to your feedback!

The supply of talent is also taking a turn; the strongest and most sustainable supply of talent is most likely to come from the east rather than the west. Moreover, technology is reshaping the very way we work. Explosive growth in emerging markets has boosted the number of employees working outside their home country and critical shortages of talent in specific markets and disciplines have pushed mobility up the boardroom agenda. The future promises to look very different, particularly in the way the global workforce is sourced, organised and managed. Is HR up to the challenge? Talent mobility is in the grip of radical change and Workforce Mobility Interactive 2017 is the opportunity for HR leaders to discuss emerging trends, mobility and resourcing strategies, and how to align talent and mobility strategies to keep pace with the significant changes in the workforce. This conference will see tailored discussions for high-level HR and mobility leaders from global MNCs taking on the latest global mobility management trends and best practices.
