spring/ summer 2014 No excuse for staying on the sofa this season! With the new SS14 Teamsport collection, the grounds are prepared for an active spring and summer. This season, with heavy inspiration from the iconic hummel World Cup 86 Mexico jersey, a new and catchy version of the Bee Authentic collection sees the day. The collection is a tribute to a unique design which is still to this day an important part of hummel’s design heritage.
The overall design of the collection has an 80’s oldschool touch featuring different vintage elements such as the contrasting rib collar on jerseys, and flaps at the front of jackets. Other noteworthy design details are the crossover necks and the mix of legion blue and gecko green.
11 drop needle lines are knitted into the fabric of the collection’s poly jerseys; one for each player of the football team. The drop needle lines appear throughout the whole collection in the shiny chevron tape adding a fascinating 3D effect.
hummel also introduces a hybrid windbreaker and football pant. The windbreaker has added wind protection on the front of the arms and chest, and the pants have added wind protection on the thighs.

Last but certainly not least, hummel presents an interesting newcomer to the base layer collection. On top of the existing pieces, a high tech collection has been added, featuring a meticulously engineered fabric. Divided into different zones, the design provides stretch, breathability and compression depending on the specific need of the body area, thus ensuring enhanced performance and greater comfort. The fabric also has a polygiene finish; an antibacterial treatment with active odour control. The collection is available both in a fit for men and women.

As an exciting newcomer, a great seamless concept has been added to the women’s and tween girl’s collection counting tops, hot pants and leggings in two different lengths. Besides being seamless, the styles are all made in a soft stretchable fabric with moisture management treatment, ensuring a comfortable feel and an amazing fit. The fabric dries quickly and has gone through an antibacterial treatment with odour control; all advantages to enjoy as part of the everyday dressing or when doing sports.
Adding to that functional fitness feel, hummel also introduces a functional moisture management treated technical sweat pant and shorts for woman as well as a new line of underwear for men, women and tweens; boxers for men and mini shorts for women. The underwear comes in a top quality cotton fabric with full DuPont Lycra and a great fit. Colours go from basics such as black, grey mélange, peacoat and dark denim to fresh and vibrant colours – hot coral, fresh purple and sharp greens for women and Sweedish blue and sharp greens for men.
