discharge model is a popular solution for producers looking to bed over the top of gates and panels or from the outside of a barn. “This model can cast bedding up to 100 feet and is also the ideal solution for stockpile grinding,” Wentz says. “The loader mounted model is our latest solution that allows operators to bunk and windrow feed in addition to bedding over gates and panels. This model is operated from the loader’s hydraulic system and can cast bedding up to 60 to 70 feet.” Claude Rouault, director of international sales for Highline Ma nu fac t u r i ng at Hig h l i ne Manufacturing says today’s bale processors need to bring value to the customer’s operation. Examples of value for an operation would be saving time in the process, reducing labor demands, maximizing the usage of feed or reducing input costs. “We not only have a range of models, the models themselves are individually adaptable to fit the customer’s operation,” Rouault says. “Customers are drawn to technology or improvements that have a focus on ruminant nutrition and health, which in turn increases their productivity.” Highline has been producing Bale Pro’s since the 1990s so they have been in the marketplace for quite a number of years and the company’s customers value the reliability and durability, not only in the Bale Pro line, but also in the round Bale Movers, the FaStack large square stacker and Highline’s rock pickers. As Wentz explains, with input costs continuing to climb, today’s producers are always looking for ways to increase performance and efficiency. “Time continues to be one of their biggest operating costs,” Wentz says. “Implementing equipment or systems that cuts time out of necessary processes enables them to maintain profitability in such competitive markets.” “Just like most industries, the technology is changing very quickly, along with completely new options that were not available ten years ago,” Wentz says. “Producers should research and compare multiple models before making a selection.”
