What puts the smile back on Kynzie’s face is watching “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” on TV, bath time and playing with her big brother, Jayce Rocket, 3.
or Misty Reimer, mother of two, it was a true honor to have her daughter chosen as Baby of 2011. Nine months ago on March 31, 2011, Misty and her husband, Jerrod, were blessed with their second child, Kynzie Willow Reimer. She answers to the nicknames “Sissy” or “Sister,” flashing a smile that lights up the room as she shows off her two front bottom teeth. The only time this little ball of joy is not smiling is when she is being dressed o r Mommy puts a bow or headband in her hair.
“When my husband first told Jayce that they were going to the hospital to visit Mommy and his baby sister, he responded by asking, ‘She’s out of Mommy’s tummy?’ he was so happy,” Reimer said. “Jayce is also the one who gave Kynzie her first stuffed animal, a pink giraffe.” The giraffe is now her favorite toy along with her Doodle Bug Activity Center that was brought to her by Santa Claus on her first Christmas. Her favorite food is any kind of vegetable, and she is repulsed by chicken and gravy baby food. Her mother says she refuses to crawl but gets around the house by rolling everywhere. And although there is much love between the two children, Kynzie is known for making her brother mad by stealing his blankets.

the best show ever, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.” She might decide to lie down for a little evening nap at around 5 p.m., but this never affects her nighttime sleeping schedule. “She has been sleeping through the night ever since she was 2 weeks old,” said Reimer. “She’s a wonderful baby” The young couple, both originally from Hutchinson and graduates of Nickerson High School, anticipate many more years of joy with their two children and are currently looking to upgrade to a bigger home. For Kynzie and Jayce, a home where they have two loving parents and each other is all they need.
Her first words were “da da,” and now she can say “sissy” and “bye-bye” followed by a wave of the hand. She also looks forward to visits from her maternal grandparents, Curtis and Vickie Woods of Hutchinson, and paternal grandmother, Carolyn Reimer of Hutchinson. While Kynzie is now in day care, Misty and Jerrod plan to send her to Candy Lane Preschool in Hutchinson, where Jayce attends. For now, a typical day consists of Mommy dropping her and her brother off at school before she goes to work at Underground Vaults Storage in Hutchinson. Then after a few hours, her daddy picks them up once he’s off work from MegaFab in Hutchinson. Once she is home, she relaxes by eating some veggies and watching
