Wellington Heritage Week: 40 Years of the Petone Historical Society Display

The Petone Historical Society was formed in 1982 to record the many histories of the town. Petone was its own borough at the time but was experiencing significant change as the large industrial firms that has defined the area closed down. The Society and Hutt City Libraries will mark the anniversary with a display at Petone Community Library from 24th October.
