WEEKLY CLEANING

To assure a long time trouble free operation of your one2sixTM a weekly cleaning is required. For the weekly cleaning open cover and remove the wheel by moving the green and red handle in the forward position:

Select SERVICE on the display; follow Display instructions to enter SERVICE mode.

Choose MOTOR TEST

■■ Chose the respective motor and quit with OK repeatedly to let the selected drive turn in different directions.

Apply 99% Isopropyl–Alcohol to a cleaning card and wet clean the respective rollers. Use a dry card to dry up the rollers after wet cleaning. Do this on all rollers at the card input – and separating portion:

After cleaning step back through the display-menu or simply switch machine off and on again. DO NOT USE METHYL-ALCOHOL or any other detergents or solvents.

SET USER GAME

Up to 2 User Games can be configured and named. Enter Menu and choose setup:

Adjust the parameters you like to set for the respective game using the arrow buttons, confirm each parameter with OK: ■■

SERVICE MODE

For a quick failure analysis it is recommended to enter service mode and check motors and sensors on demand. To enter the Service Mode enter the menu and choose “SERVICE”. NOTE: Service Mode can be entered only after the removal of all playing cards from the machine. ■■

INSTALLATION AND USE OF SERVICE SOFTWARE

The Service Software allows the download and the deletion of the internal log register of the OTS shuffler. The operating system of your computer/laptop should be Windows XP or higher. It may be needed to install USB drivers on your computer if not installed yet. Power up the shuffler; connect it to your computer/laptop via USB cable.

Code 00: Cover open

Indicates that the cover was opened or the cover sensor is defective.

Code 01: DC Controller Error

Hardware is defective. Consult technical service.

Code 02: DC Position Error

Hardware is defective. Consult technical service.

Code 03: AC Fail

Hardware is defective. Consult technical service.

Code 04: Too many cards

Indicates that more than the permitted amount of cards for the selected game was loaded.

Code 05: too less cards

Indicates that less than the required amount of cards for the selected game was loaded (Single Deck Operation only).

Code 06: outpusher jam

Outpusher could not reach its end position while outpushing cards. Outpusher was blocked. Check for proper adjustment of the outpusher fingers. Check for proper function of “wheel home” sensor. Check for defective CPU or driver board(s).

Code 07: outpusher index error

Outpusher could not find its home position. Outpusher is blocked or “outpusher home” sensor is defective.

Code 08: wheel index error

Wheel could not find its home position. Wheel is blocked or “wheel home” sensor is defectiveIt will also occur if the wheel is not inserted during starting up of the machine or removed during operation.

Code 09: cards in input area

A card remained at “card position 2” sensor or “card position 2” sensor is defective.

Code 10: inpusher jam

Inpusher could not reach its home position after in-pushing cards. Inpusher is blocked or “inpusher home” sensor is defective.

Code 11: inpusher Index Error

Inpusher could not find its home position. Inpusher is blocked or “inpusher home” sensor is defective.

Code 12: could not leave in sensor 2

A card jam occurred in the input area; “card position 2” sensor is blocked or defective.

Code 13: could not leave in sensor 3

A card jam occurred in the input area; “card position 3” sensor is blocked or defective.

Code 14: could not reach in sensor 2

A card jam occurred in the separator area. Card was blocked or “card position 2” sensor is defective. Check for clean separator rollers and correct gap adjustment.

Code 15: could not reach in sensor 3

A card jam occurred in the separator area. Card was blocked or “card position 3” sensor is defective. Check for clean separator rollers and correct gap adjustment.

Code 16: could not leave outsensor

A card jam occurred in the output area; “output free” sensor is blocked or defective.

Code 17: could not reach outsensor

A card jam occurred in the output area. “output free” sensor could not be reached or the sensor is defective.

Code 18: not used Code 19: not used Code 20: reset occurred

Indicates an internal reset of the OTS. Occurs when the unit is switched on or restarted; also when service mode is left.

Code 21: not used Code 22: inlock jam

Inlock finger is blocked or sensor is defective.

Code 23: inlock index error

Inlock finger could not find its home position. Inlock is blocked or home sensor is defective.

Code 24 – 32: internal errors

Internal error. Consult technical service.

Code 33: wheel blocked

Wheel is blocked or wheel home sensor is defective. It will also occur if the wheel is not inserted in MD mode.

Code 34: sensor calibration initiated

The SD “card take off” sensor calibration is released.

Code 35: sensor calibration failed

The SD “card take off” sensor calibration failed.

Code 36: unknown logbook code

Cover was opened and wheel was removed while shuffling in SD mode.

PROCEDURES FOR MECHANICAL CHECK AND ADJUSTMENTS

Before starting with the mechanical check and adjustment procedures please ■■

Ensure that one2sixTM is cleaned properly according to chapter 1) of this maintenance guide

Connect the machine to a computer or PC and read the logbook (and table) according to chapter 8) of this guide ■■

Find out if there were some difficulties during the use of one2six, use chapter 9) for analysis

■■

Use service mode according to chapter 7) to check drives and sensors for proper function.

Correct separator gap adjustment:

To check for correct separator-gap adjustment, remove wheel and insert 0,4mm feeler gauge as shown below:

The gauge should be easily moveable through the gap of the two separator rollers both on the far left and the far right side. If the gap is too tight, check for residues on the separator rollers. Clean them if needed according to chapter one – use forward movement of the SEPARATOR for the lower roller.

If you notice either backlash or the gap is still too tight, center separator block and loosen 4 fixings screws:

Apply feeler gauge right in the middle and carefully tighten all four screws again:

The gauge should be easily moveable through the gap of the two separator rollers both on the far left and the far right side. b)

If the visual check shows some misalignment, perform the following steps for the re-adjustment of the outpusher fingers: Re-insert the wheel. Manually load a batch of 10 cards into the 0-compartment as well as 10 cards in each of the adjacent compartments:

Select SERVICE on the display; follow Display instructions to enter SERVICE mode

Choose CHECK OUTPUSHER

The wheel instantly turns to the output position from which the 0-compartmnent will be emptied. Slightly move the outpusher drive (on the right) by hand in order to get the fingers in contact with cards:

On both sides the fingers of the outpusher have to have the same clearance to the cards in the adjacent compartments. If not, adjust the vertical position of the outpusher fingers accordingly:

Optical sensor set up on Single Deck Front Part (SD card take off):

If problems related to that sensor are reported - e.g. no further cards delivered after the removal of a hand or delivery of cards though the previous hand was not removed yet – it may be a deterioration of the sensor adjustment. Perform the following steps for the auto calibration of the SD card take off sensor: ■■

Select SERVICE on the display; follow Display instructions to enter SERVICE mode

■■

Choose CALIB. SENSOR

■■

Quit with OK and follow further display instructions

NOTE: To achieve a sufficient calibration result, avoid direct light on the sensor area. If needed, protect the sensing area from light by your hollow hand - keep a distance of at least 100mm from the sensing surface. d)

Accurate operation of cover sensors:

Close cover. Cover must be detected by the cover sensors before it mechanically locks. e)

Free movement of wheel:

Check wheel drive without wheel inserted. Move tooth wheel by hand for free, easy going movement and correct belt stress. There should be no rattling whilst turning the tooth wheel.

Check date and time:

Check correct set of date and time. Adjust time set up if needed. h)

Three colours of status LED, green lights of keys are checked. All keys operate well. i)

Display works well:

All signs are correctly displayed. If the display shows weak contrast, perform the following steps: ■■

Select SETUP on the display.

Choose DISPL. CONTRAST, follow display instructions to adjust the contrast

Operational check SD:

Close cover. Cover must be detected by the cover sensors before it mechanically locks. k)

Operational check MD:

Run 500 playing cards (100% plastic) in bridge and poker size. There must be no errors, irritations or strange noises during work. Run 500 playing cards (paper, plastic coated) in poker size. There must be no errors, irritations or strange noises during work. l)

Optical check:

Defined stickers are fitted (common in English language).

POWER SAFETY REGULATIONS

The power jack has to be close to the apparatus and easily accessible. Further national requirements: Finland, Norway and Sweden: CLASS I PLUGGABLE EQUIPMENT TYPE A intented for connection to other equipment or a network shall, if safety relies on connection to protective earth or if surge surpressors are connected between the network terminals and accessible parts, have a marking stating that the equipment must be connected to an earthed mains socket-outlet. The marking text in the applicable countries shall be as follows: In Finland: „Laite on liitettävä suojamaadoituskoskettimilla varustettuun pistorasiaan“ In Norway: „Apparatet ma tilkoples jordet stikkontakt“ In Sweden: „Apparaten skall anslutas till jordat uttag“ Switzerland: Supply cords of equipment having a RATED CURRENT not exceeding 10 A shall be provided with a plug complying with SEV 1011 or IEC 60884-1 and one of the following dimension sheets: SEV 6532-2. 1991 Plug Type 15

Denmark: Supply cords of single-phase equipment having a rated current not exceeding 13 A shall be provided with a plug according to the Heavy Current Regulations, Section 107-2-D1. CLASS I EQUIPMENT provided with socket-outlets with earth contacts or which are intended to be used in locations where protection against indirect contact is required according to the wiring rules shall be provided with a plug in accordance with standard sheet DK 2-1a or DK 2-5a. If poly-phase equipment and single-phase equipment having a RATED CURRENT exceeding 13 A is provided with a supply cord with a plug, this plug shall be in accordance with the Heavy Current Regulations, Section 107-2-D1 or EN 60309-2.

Spain: Supply cords of single-phase equipment having a rated current not exceeding 10 A shall be provided with a plug according to UNE 20315:1994. Supply Cords of single-phase equipment having a rated current not exceeding 2,5 A shall be provided with a plug according to UNE-EN 50075:1993. CLASS I EQUIPMENT provided with socket-outlets with earth contacts or which are intended to be used in locations where protection against indirect contact is required according to the wiring rules, shall be provided with a plug in accordance with standard UNE 20315:1994. If poly-phase equipment is provided with a supply cord with a plug, this plug shall be in accordance with UNE-EN 60309-2. United Kingdom: An apparatus which is fitted with a flexible cable or cord and is designed to be connected to a mains socket conforming to BS 1363 by means of that flexible cable or cord and plug, shall be fitted with a „standard plug“ in accordance with Statutory Instrument 1768:1994 - The Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994, unless exempted by those regulations. Note: „Standard plug“ is defined in SI 1768:1994 and essentially means an approved plug conforming to BS 1363 or an approved conversion plug. Ireland: An apparatus which is fitted with a flexible cable or cord and is designed to be connected to a mains socket conforming to I.S. 411 by means of that flexible cable or cord and plug, shall be fitted with a 13 A plug in accordance with Statutory Instrument 525:1997 - National Standards Authority of Ireland (section 28) (13 A Plugs and Conversion Adaptors for Domestic Use) Regulations 1997. Germany: (Gesetz über technische Arbeitsmittel und Verbraucherprodukte (Geräte- und Produktsicherheitsgesetz – GPSG) [Law on technical labour equipment and consumer products], of 6th January 2004, Section 2, Article 4, Clause (4), Item 2). If for the assurance of safety and health certain rules during use, amending or maintenance of a technical labour equipment or readymade consumer product are to be followed, a manual in German language has to be delivered when placing the product on the market. Of this requirement, rules for use even only by SERVICE PERSONS are not exempted.
