Non-governmental organizations are groups that are voluntarily organized by like-minded people to solve various problems that occur in the global village. Unlike international organizations, where governments of each country gather to solve international problems, organizationsnon-governmentaldonotrepresent the state’s position and do not act for national interest.
Heavenly Culture, World RestorationPeace,of Light (HWPL) Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) is a non-governmental organization that aims to end war and achieve world peace. HWPL was established on May 25, 2013, and has obtained a Special Consulting Status from the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The HWPL peace project presents a clear solution to peace, such as preventing conflict, resolving conflict, maintaining peace, and spreading a culture of peace. The ultimate goal of the HWPL peace project is to create the greatest legacy, peace, and pass it on to the future generations.
1) Enactment of International Peace Law: Cessation of War and World Peace
A comprehensive and practical solution that transcends races, religions, and national borders is needed to end the global war. Accordingly, HWPL, together with international law experts from 15 countries, created and proclaimed the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) with its 10 articles and 38 clauses, which is the answer to dispute resolution. To end war and inherit peace, we need to teach values that are appropriate for a new era of peace. The HWPL Peace Education aims to nurture “peace citizens” with values and a spirit of peace. Peace education presents the basic principles that human beings must abide by in order to foster peace. Therefore, students who participate in peace education can develop the ability to live in harmony with others in their community, country, and internationally.
The HWPL World Alliance of Religion’s Peace (WARP) Office is a religious text comparison discussion group where leaders of various religions meet regularly to compare scriptures with each other for inter-religious harmony. Through a deep understanding of peace in the teachings of each religion, it focuses on preventing religious conflicts arising from misunderstandings between religions and achieving peace.
DPCW deals with the principles of establishing international peace, such as respect for international law, peaceful dispute resolution, maintaining friendly relations between countries, and spreading a culture of peace through education and freedom of press; it contains the answer to peace and its maintenance.

Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontiers)
As an humanitarianinternationalandmedical aid organization, Doctors Without Borders is an international nongovernmental organization that provides emergency relief to people suffering from conflict, disease, malnutrition, natural and manmade disasters, as well as those without access to health care. It is composed mainly of doctors and health care workers. In conflict situations, regardless of race, religion, gender, or political situation, they do not stand on the sideline but aid those in need
2) World Alliance of Religions: The Path to Reconciliation
After a crisis, Doctors Without Borders restores and operates hospitals and clinics, takes the lead in combating infectious diseases, runs food centers for malnourished children, and provides psychological treatment. A well is developed to supply clean drinking water; blankets and mats for temporary shelter are provided.Whileproviding medical aid, they try and make an effort to attract the attention of the international community by publicly notifying when they witness extreme acts of violence against individuals and groups in places that have not received international attention — when lifesaving medical services are shut down, when medical facilities are threatened, and when crises are turned away. For this role, Doctors Without Borders was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999.
InternationalAmnesty Amnesty International is an international non-governmental organization working for a world where all people can enjoy human rights without discrimination. In 1961, in Lisbon, Portugal, students were arrested for toasting to freedom and were sentenced to seven years in prison.
