Jan and I met on Sardinia this summer. He
told me about his streetlights project
„Random shots of light“. He shoots portraits
of streetlights during the day. Objects
of civilization that you only see during the
day – when they are not in use. And at night
you can‘t see their body form because you‘re
blinded by their light.
I showed him my „flash, lights“. A series of
pictures randomly shot at night with my
flashlight.
We were stunned by this connection that
coincidentally hit us. So we decided to
combine both series into one story. And this
is what you get. It’s a book about two strangers
meeting and becoming friends through
sharing random ideas.
