Expro Canada 2012

Page 1

Expro places in Canada In Canada, if you want to work in a farm longer than for 4 weeks, even though it is for free, you will need a Working Permit and a VISA. To get the working permit, it can be complicated, especially for the farm receiving you because they have to fill some special forms. So, some of them won’t do it.

Here are your options: -

Do an internship for maximum 4 weeks in a farm and enter the country as a tourist (no working permit or VISA needed).

-

If you want to stay longer than 4 weeks, you will have to do the procedures to get the working permit and a VISA. An invitation letter will be provided by IAAS Canada only after an agreement between the employer and the trainee is made. The exchange coordinator will explain to the employers what they have to fill and explain to the trainee the general procedures to get the papers. The exco will not fill any form for the trainee and neither call the embassies.

-

If you are from: Belgium, Germany, Italy or Mexico, the procedures can be easier because Canada and those countries have special agreements.
