The following pages, contain examples of the projects and work completed during my employment with Chapman Taylor. I joined Chapman Taylor as an Architectural Assistant, before going on to complete my final professional exam. I qualifyied as an Architect in October 2009.
My work was primarily based in the feasibility team, however I was called upon to assist other project teams which provided valuable construction experience.

Chapman Taylor Manchester Office MSCP 6, Gatwick North Terminal
A OJEU Tender Bid submission, for this project we are partnered with the contractor, SCC. To provide a 1200 space multi-storey car park, which forms part a multi million pound redevelopment of Gatwick’s North Terminal.
This project is currently on site and is due for completion in the Spring of 2011. As part of our involvement, we have managed to secure some additional works regarding the parking plazas around the car park.
Chapman Taylor Manchester Office MediaCity:UK, Salford
For Peel Holdings. A 50,000m2 development including three bespoke office buildings and two residential towers with a total of 320 apartments, 2,000 space multi-level car park and Tri-Gen site-wide central plant. Cat B fit-out for BBC buildings.
Chapman Taylor Manchester Office Terminal 3, Manchester Airport, Retail
For Manchester Airports Group A retail and way finding scheme in Terminal 3 based on proving new retail units and tackling the main issues that currently disrupt the Terminal 3 environment. The ÂŁ1m scheme is also linked to exploring various options for linking the T1 and T3 lounges and assessing the passenger experience.
Chapman Taylor Manchester Office Trafford Wharf, Salford
Full planning consent obtained on behalf of Peel Holdings, for a development of a film studio with BCO Grade A offices on land at Trafford Wharf Road opposite the Media City development and linked to it by a new pedestrian bridge. The development will comprises: A 10,000 m2 Regional HQ Office Building; an External Film set; Two Studio stage buildings; Studio Support building; Set storage building; Associated car parking, public realm and landscaping. The scale and quality of the development reflects the clients ongoing commitment to leading the regeneration of the area through investement in high quality design that attract major ‘blue chip’ businesses.
Chapman Taylor Manchester Office Trafford Quays: Masterplan and Office Development
For Peel Holdings, an 8 week project to prepare two parameters based planning applications, one commercial application for which I was responsible, providing 300,000sqft of Grade A BCO Office Space, associated public realm works and supporting ‘use class e’ facilities.
The second application was for 250 residential units. This work was carried out in collaboration with our London office, where we have more residential expertise.
A third planning application will be submitted in 2011 for the overall Masterplan for Trafford Quays.
