14AndGodsaid,Lettherebelightsinthefirmamentof theheaventodividethedayfromthenight;andletthembe forsigns,andforseasons,andfordays,andyears:
15Andletthembeforlightsinthefirmamentofthe heaventogivelightupontheearth:anditwasso
16AndGodmadetwogreatlights;thegreaterlighttorule theday,andthelesserlighttorulethenight:hemadethe starsalso
17AndGodsettheminthefirmamentoftheheavento givelightupontheearth,
18Andtoruleoverthedayandoverthenight,andto dividethelightfromthedarkness:andGodsawthatitwas good
19Andtheeveningandthemorningwerethefourthday
20AndGodsaid,Letthewatersbringforthabundantlythe movingcreaturethathathlife,andfowlthatmayflyabove theearthintheopenfirmamentofheaven
21AndGodcreatedgreatwhales,andeverylivingcreature thatmoveth,whichthewatersbroughtforthabundantly, aftertheirkind,andeverywingedfowlafterhiskind:and Godsawthatitwasgood.
22AndGodblessedthem,saying,Befruitful,andmultiply, andfillthewatersintheseas,andletfowlmultiplyinthe earth.

26AndGodsaid,Letusmakemaninourimage,afterour likeness:andletthemhavedominionoverthefishofthe sea,andoverthefowloftheair,andoverthecattle,and overalltheearth,andovereverycreepingthingthat creepethupontheearth
27SoGodcreatedmaninhisownimage,intheimageof Godcreatedhehim;maleandfemalecreatedhethem
28AndGodblessedthem,andGodsaiduntothem,Be fruitful,andmultiply,andreplenishtheearth,andsubdueit: andhavedominionoverthefishofthesea,andoverthe fowloftheair,andovereverylivingthingthatmoveth upontheearth.
29AndGodsaid,Behold,Ihavegivenyoueveryherb bearingseed,whichisuponthefaceofalltheearth,and everytree,inthewhichisthefruitofatreeyieldingseed; toyouitshallbeformeat
30Andtoeverybeastoftheearth,andtoeveryfowlofthe air,andtoeverythingthatcreepethupontheearth,wherein thereislife,Ihavegiveneverygreenherbformeat:andit wasso.

1Thustheheavensandtheearthwerefinished,andallthe hostofthem
2AndontheseventhdayGodendedhisworkwhichhe hadmade;andherestedontheseventhdayfromallhis workwhichhehadmade
3AndGodblessedtheseventhday,andsanctifiedit: becausethatinithehadrestedfromallhisworkwhich Godcreatedandmade
4Thesearethegenerationsoftheheavensandoftheearth whentheywerecreated,inthedaythattheLORDGod madetheearthandtheheavens,
5Andeveryplantofthefieldbeforeitwasintheearth, andeveryherbofthefieldbeforeitgrew:fortheLORD Godhadnotcausedittorainupontheearth,andtherewas notamantotilltheground.
6Buttherewentupamistfromtheearth,andwateredthe wholefaceoftheground
7AndtheLORDGodformedmanofthedustofthe ground,andbreathedintohisnostrilsthebreathoflife;and manbecamealivingsoul
8AndtheLORDGodplantedagardeneastwardinEden; andthereheputthemanwhomhehadformed
9AndoutofthegroundmadetheLORDGodtogrow everytreethatispleasanttothesight,andgoodforfood; thetreeoflifealsointhemidstofthegarden,andthetree ofknowledgeofgoodandevil
10AndariverwentoutofEdentowaterthegarden;and fromthenceitwasparted,andbecameintofourheads
11ThenameofthefirstisPison:thatisitwhich compasseththewholelandofHavilah,wherethereisgold; 12Andthegoldofthatlandisgood:thereisbdelliumand theonyxstone
13AndthenameofthesecondriverisGihon:thesameis itthatcompasseththewholelandofEthiopia
14AndthenameofthethirdriverisHiddekel:thatisit whichgoethtowardtheeastofAssyriaAndthefourth riverisEuphrates
15AndtheLORDGodtooktheman,andputhimintothe gardenofEdentodressitandtokeepit.
16AndtheLORDGodcommandedtheman,saying,Of everytreeofthegardenthoumayestfreelyeat:
17Butofthetreeoftheknowledgeofgoodandevil,thou shaltnoteatofit:forinthedaythatthoueatestthereof thoushaltsurelydie
18AndtheLORDGodsaid,Itisnotgoodthattheman shouldbealone;Iwillmakehimanhelpmeetforhim
19AndoutofthegroundtheLORDGodformedevery beastofthefield,andeveryfowloftheair;andbrought themuntoAdamtoseewhathewouldcallthem:and whatsoeverAdamcalledeverylivingcreature,thatwasthe namethereof.
20AndAdamgavenamestoallcattle,andtothefowlof theair,andtoeverybeastofthefield;butforAdamthere wasnotfoundanhelpmeetforhim.
21AndtheLORDGodcausedadeepsleeptofallupon Adam,andheslept:andhetookoneofhisribs,andclosed upthefleshinsteadthereof;
22Andtherib,whichtheLORDGodhadtakenfromman, madeheawoman,andbroughtheruntotheman
23AndAdamsaid,Thisisnowboneofmybones,and fleshofmyflesh:sheshallbecalledWoman,becauseshe wastakenoutofMan
24Thereforeshallamanleavehisfatherandhismother, andshallcleaveuntohiswife:andtheyshallbeoneflesh
25Andtheywerebothnaked,themanandhiswife,and werenotashamed.
CHAPTER3
1Nowtheserpentwasmoresubtilthananybeastofthe fieldwhichtheLORDGodhadmadeAndhesaiduntothe woman,Yea,hathGodsaid,Yeshallnoteatofeverytree ofthegarden?
2Andthewomansaiduntotheserpent,Wemayeatofthe fruitofthetreesofthegarden:
3Butofthefruitofthetreewhichisinthemidstofthe garden,Godhathsaid,Yeshallnoteatofit,neithershall yetouchit,lestyedie.
4Andtheserpentsaiduntothewoman,Yeshallnotsurely die:
5ForGoddothknowthatinthedayyeeatthereof,then youreyesshallbeopened,andyeshallbeasgods, knowinggoodandevil.
6Andwhenthewomansawthatthetreewasgoodforfood, andthatitwaspleasanttotheeyes,andatreetobedesired tomakeonewise,shetookofthefruitthereof,anddideat, andgavealsountoherhusbandwithher;andhedideat
7Andtheeyesofthembothwereopened,andtheyknew thattheywerenaked;andtheysewedfigleavestogether, andmadethemselvesaprons
8AndtheyheardthevoiceoftheLORDGodwalkingin thegardeninthecooloftheday:andAdamandhiswife hidthemselvesfromthepresenceoftheLORDGod amongstthetreesofthegarden
9AndtheLORDGodcalleduntoAdam,andsaiduntohim, Whereartthou?
10Andhesaid,Iheardthyvoiceinthegarden,andIwas afraid,becauseIwasnaked;andIhidmyself
11Andhesaid,Whotoldtheethatthouwastnaked?Hast thoueatenofthetree,whereofIcommandedtheethatthou shouldestnoteat?
12Andthemansaid,Thewomanwhomthougavesttobe withme,shegavemeofthetree,andIdideat
13AndtheLORDGodsaiduntothewoman,Whatisthis thatthouhastdone?Andthewomansaid,Theserpent beguiledme,andIdideat
14AndtheLORDGodsaiduntotheserpent,Becausethou hastdonethis,thouartcursedaboveallcattle,andabove everybeastofthefield;uponthybellyshaltthougo,and dustshaltthoueatallthedaysofthylife:
15AndIwillputenmitybetweentheeandthewoman,and betweenthyseedandherseed;itshallbruisethyhead,and thoushaltbruisehisheel.
16Untothewomanhesaid,Iwillgreatlymultiplythy sorrowandthyconception;insorrowthoushaltbringforth children;andthydesireshallbetothyhusband,andhe shallruleoverthee
17AnduntoAdamhesaid,Becausethouhasthearkened untothevoiceofthywife,andhasteatenofthetree,of whichIcommandedthee,saying,Thoushaltnoteatofit: cursedisthegroundforthysake;insorrowshaltthoueat ofitallthedaysofthylife;
18Thornsalsoandthistlesshallitbringforthtothee;and thoushalteattheherbofthefield;
19Inthesweatofthyfaceshaltthoueatbread,tillthou returnuntotheground;foroutofitwastthoutaken:for dustthouart,anduntodustshaltthoureturn
20AndAdamcalledhiswife'snameEve;becauseshewas themotherofallliving
21UntoAdamalsoandtohiswifedidtheLORDGod makecoatsofskins,andclothedthem.
22AndtheLORDGodsaid,Behold,themanisbecomeas oneofus,toknowgoodandevil:andnow,lestheputforth hishand,andtakealsoofthetreeoflife,andeat,andlive forever:
23ThereforetheLORDGodsenthimforthfromthe gardenofEden,totillthegroundfromwhencehewas taken
24Sohedroveouttheman;andheplacedattheeastofthe gardenofEdenCherubims,andaflamingswordwhich turnedeveryway,tokeepthewayofthetreeoflife

1AndAdamknewEvehiswife;andsheconceived,and bareCain,andsaid,IhavegottenamanfromtheLORD 2AndsheagainbarehisbrotherAbelAndAbelwasa keeperofsheep,butCainwasatilleroftheground.
3Andinprocessoftimeitcametopass,thatCainbrought ofthefruitofthegroundanofferinguntotheLORD 4AndAbel,healsobroughtofthefirstlingsofhisflock andofthefatthereofAndtheLORDhadrespectunto Abelandtohisoffering:
5ButuntoCainandtohisofferinghehadnotrespect.And Cainwasverywroth,andhiscountenancefell 6AndtheLORDsaiduntoCain,Whyartthouwroth?and whyisthycountenancefallen?
7Ifthoudoestwell,shaltthounotbeaccepted?andifthou doestnotwell,sinliethatthedoorAnduntotheeshallbe hisdesire,andthoushaltruleoverhim
8AndCaintalkedwithAbelhisbrother:anditcameto pass,whentheywereinthefield,thatCainroseupagainst Abelhisbrother,andslewhim

14Behold,thouhastdrivenmeoutthisdayfromtheface oftheearth;andfromthyfaceshallIbehid;andIshallbe afugitiveandavagabondintheearth;anditshallcometo pass,thateveryonethatfindethmeshallslayme
15AndtheLORDsaiduntohim,Thereforewhosoever slayethCain,vengeanceshallbetakenonhimsevenfold AndtheLORDsetamarkuponCain,lestanyfindinghim shouldkillhim.
16AndCainwentoutfromthepresenceoftheLORD,and dweltinthelandofNod,ontheeastofEden

5AndGODsawthatthewickednessofmanwasgreatin theearth,andthateveryimaginationofthethoughtsofhis heartwasonlyevilcontinually
6AnditrepentedtheLORDthathehadmademanonthe earth,anditgrievedhimathisheart
7AndtheLORDsaid,IwilldestroymanwhomIhave createdfromthefaceoftheearth;bothman,andbeast,and thecreepingthing,andthefowlsoftheair;foritrepenteth methatIhavemadethem
8ButNoahfoundgraceintheeyesoftheLORD.
9ThesearethegenerationsofNoah:Noahwasajustman andperfectinhisgenerations,andNoahwalkedwithGod
10AndNoahbegatthreesons,Shem,Ham,andJapheth.
11TheearthalsowascorruptbeforeGod,andtheearth wasfilledwithviolence
12AndGodlookedupontheearth,and,behold,itwas corrupt;forallfleshhadcorruptedhiswayupontheearth
13AndGodsaiduntoNoah,Theendofallfleshiscome beforeme;fortheearthisfilledwithviolencethrough them;and,behold,Iwilldestroythemwiththeearth
14Maketheeanarkofgopherwood;roomsshaltthou makeintheark,andshaltpitchitwithinandwithoutwith pitch
15Andthisisthefashionwhichthoushaltmakeitof:The lengthofthearkshallbethreehundredcubits,thebreadth ofitfiftycubits,andtheheightofitthirtycubits

1AndtheLORDsaiduntoNoah,Comethouandallthy houseintotheark;fortheehaveIseenrighteousbeforeme inthisgeneration.
2Ofeverycleanbeastthoushalttaketotheebysevens,the maleandhisfemale:andofbeaststhatarenotcleanbytwo, themaleandhisfemale.
3Offowlsalsooftheairbysevens,themaleandthe female;tokeepseedaliveuponthefaceofalltheearth
4Foryetsevendays,andIwillcauseittorainuponthe earthfortydaysandfortynights;andeveryliving substancethatIhavemadewillIdestroyfromofftheface oftheearth.
5AndNoahdidaccordinguntoallthattheLORD commandedhim
6AndNoahwassixhundredyearsoldwhenthefloodof waterswasupontheearth
7AndNoahwentin,andhissons,andhiswife,andhis sons'wiveswithhim,intotheark,becauseofthewatersof theflood
8Ofcleanbeasts,andofbeaststhatarenotclean,andof fowls,andofeverythingthatcreepethupontheearth, 9TherewentintwoandtwountoNoahintotheark,the maleandthefemale,asGodhadcommandedNoah
10Anditcametopassaftersevendays,thatthewatersof thefloodwereupontheearth
11InthesixhundredthyearofNoah'slife,inthesecond month,theseventeenthdayofthemonth,thesameday wereallthefountainsofthegreatdeepbrokenup,andthe windowsofheavenwereopened

19Andthewatersprevailedexceedinglyupontheearth; andallthehighhills,thatwereunderthewholeheaven, werecovered
20Fifteencubitsupwarddidthewatersprevail;andthe mountainswerecovered
21Andallfleshdiedthatmovedupontheearth,bothof fowl,andofcattle,andofbeast,andofeverycreeping thingthatcreepethupontheearth,andeveryman:
22Allinwhosenostrilswasthebreathoflife,ofallthat wasinthedryland,died.
23Andeverylivingsubstancewasdestroyedwhichwas uponthefaceoftheground,bothman,andcattle,andthe
creepingthings,andthefowloftheheaven;andtheywere destroyedfromtheearth:andNoahonlyremainedalive, andtheythatwerewithhimintheark
24Andthewatersprevailedupontheearthanhundredand fiftydays.
CHAPTER8
1AndGodrememberedNoah,andeverylivingthing,and allthecattlethatwaswithhimintheark:andGodmadea windtopassovertheearth,andthewatersasswaged;
2Thefountainsalsoofthedeepandthewindowsof heavenwerestopped,andtherainfromheavenwas restrained;
3Andthewatersreturnedfromofftheearthcontinually: andaftertheendofthehundredandfiftydaysthewaters wereabated.
4Andthearkrestedintheseventhmonth,onthe seventeenthdayofthemonth,uponthemountainsof Ararat.
5Andthewatersdecreasedcontinuallyuntilthetenth month:inthetenthmonth,onthefirstdayofthemonth, werethetopsofthemountainsseen.
6Anditcametopassattheendoffortydays,thatNoah openedthewindowofthearkwhichhehadmade:
7Andhesentfortharaven,whichwentforthtoandfro, untilthewatersweredriedupfromofftheearth
8Alsohesentforthadovefromhim,toseeifthewaters wereabatedfromoffthefaceoftheground;

1AndGodblessedNoahandhissons,andsaiduntothem, Befruitful,andmultiply,andreplenishtheearth
2Andthefearofyouandthedreadofyoushallbeupon everybeastoftheearth,anduponeveryfowloftheair, uponallthatmovethupontheearth,anduponallthefishes ofthesea;intoyourhandaretheydelivered.

2Andheweptaloud:andtheEgyptiansandthehouseof Pharaohheard
3AndJosephsaiduntohisbrethren,IamJoseph;dothmy fatheryetlive?Andhisbrethrencouldnotanswerhim;for theyweretroubledathispresence
4AndJosephsaiduntohisbrethren,Comeneartome,I prayyouAndtheycamenearAndhesaid,IamJoseph yourbrother,whomyesoldintoEgypt

23ThenJosephsaiduntothepeople,Behold,Ihave boughtyouthisdayandyourlandforPharaoh:lo,hereis seedforyou,andyeshallsowtheland
24Anditshallcometopassintheincrease,thatyeshall givethefifthpartuntoPharaoh,andfourpartsshallbe yourown,forseedofthefield,andforyourfood,andfor themofyourhouseholds,andforfoodforyourlittleones.
