CHAPTER1
1NowthesearethenamesofthechildrenofIsrael,which cameintoEgypt;everymanandhishouseholdcamewith Jacob.
2Reuben,Simeon,Levi,andJudah, 3Issachar,Zebulun,andBenjamin, 4Dan,andNaphtali,Gad,andAsher.
5AndallthesoulsthatcameoutoftheloinsofJacobwere seventysouls:forJosephwasinEgyptalready 6AndJosephdied,andallhisbrethren,andallthat generation
7AndthechildrenofIsraelwerefruitful,andincreased abundantly,andmultiplied,andwaxedexceedingmighty; andthelandwasfilledwiththem
8NowtherearoseupanewkingoverEgypt,whichknew notJoseph.
9Andhesaiduntohispeople,Behold,thepeopleofthe childrenofIsraelaremoreandmightierthanwe: 10Comeon,letusdealwiselywiththem;lestthey multiply,anditcometopass,that,whentherefallethout anywar,theyjoinalsountoourenemies,andfightagainst us,andsogetthemupoutoftheland.
11Thereforetheydidsetoverthemtaskmasterstoafflict themwiththeirburdensAndtheybuiltforPharaoh treasurecities,PithomandRaamses.
12Butthemoretheyafflictedthem,themorethey multipliedandgrewAndtheyweregrievedbecauseofthe childrenofIsrael.
13AndtheEgyptiansmadethechildrenofIsraeltoserve withrigour:
14Andtheymadetheirlivesbitterwithhardbondage,in morter,andinbrick,andinallmannerofserviceinthe field:alltheirservice,whereintheymadethemserve,was withrigour.
15AndthekingofEgyptspaketotheHebrewmidwives, ofwhichthenameoftheonewasShiphrah,andthename oftheotherPuah:
16Andhesaid,Whenyedotheofficeofamidwifetothe Hebrewwomen,andseethemuponthestools;ifitbeason, thenyeshallkillhim:butifitbeadaughter,thensheshall live
17ButthemidwivesfearedGod,anddidnotasthekingof Egyptcommandedthem,butsavedthemenchildrenalive
18AndthekingofEgyptcalledforthemidwives,andsaid untothem,Whyhaveyedonethisthing,andhavesaved themenchildrenalive?
19AndthemidwivessaiduntoPharaoh,Becausethe HebrewwomenarenotastheEgyptianwomen;forthey arelively,andaredeliverederethemidwivescomeinunto them
20ThereforeGoddealtwellwiththemidwives:andthe peoplemultiplied,andwaxedverymighty
21Anditcametopass,becausethemidwivesfearedGod, thathemadethemhouses.
22AndPharaohchargedallhispeople,saying,Everyson thatisbornyeshallcastintotheriver,andeverydaughter yeshallsavealive.
CHAPTER2
1AndtherewentamanofthehouseofLevi,andtookto wifeadaughterofLevi
2Andthewomanconceived,andbareason:andwhenshe sawhimthathewasagoodlychild,shehidhimthree months
3Andwhenshecouldnotlongerhidehim,shetookfor himanarkofbulrushes,anddaubeditwithslimeandwith pitch,andputthechildtherein;andshelaiditintheflags bytheriver'sbrink
4Andhissisterstoodafaroff,towitwhatwouldbedone tohim
5AndthedaughterofPharaohcamedowntowashherself attheriver;andhermaidenswalkedalongbytheriver's side;andwhenshesawthearkamongtheflags,shesent hermaidtofetchit
6Andwhenshehadopenedit,shesawthechild:and, behold,thebabeweptAndshehadcompassiononhim, andsaid,ThisisoneoftheHebrews'children
7ThensaidhissistertoPharaoh'sdaughter,ShallIgoand calltotheeanurseoftheHebrewwomen,thatshemay nursethechildforthee?
8AndPharaoh'sdaughtersaidtoher,Go.Andthemaid wentandcalledthechild'smother
9AndPharaoh'sdaughtersaiduntoher,Takethischild away,andnurseitforme,andIwillgivetheethywages. Andthewomantookthechild,andnursedit
10Andthechildgrew,andshebroughthimuntoPharaoh's daughter,andhebecamehersonAndshecalledhisname Moses:andshesaid,BecauseIdrewhimoutofthewater 11Anditcametopassinthosedays,whenMoseswas grown,thathewentoutuntohisbrethren,andlookedon theirburdens:andhespiedanEgyptiansmitinganHebrew, oneofhisbrethren.
12Andhelookedthiswayandthatway,andwhenhesaw thattherewasnoman,heslewtheEgyptian,andhidhim inthesand.
13Andwhenhewentoutthesecondday,behold,twomen oftheHebrewsstrovetogether:andhesaidtohimthatdid thewrong,Whereforesmitestthouthyfellow?
14Andhesaid,Whomadetheeaprinceandajudgeover us?intendestthoutokillme,asthoukilledsttheEgyptian? AndMosesfeared,andsaid,Surelythisthingisknown.
15NowwhenPharaohheardthisthing,hesoughttoslay MosesButMosesfledfromthefaceofPharaoh,anddwelt inthelandofMidian:andhesatdownbyawell.
16NowthepriestofMidianhadsevendaughters:andthey cameanddrewwater,andfilledthetroughstowatertheir father'sflock.
17Andtheshepherdscameanddrovethemaway:but Mosesstoodupandhelpedthem,andwateredtheirflock
18AndwhentheycametoReueltheirfather,hesaid,How isitthatyearecomesosoontoday?
19Andtheysaid,AnEgyptiandeliveredusoutofthehand oftheshepherds,andalsodrewwaterenoughforus,and wateredtheflock
20Andhesaiduntohisdaughters,Andwhereishe?why isitthatyehavelefttheman?callhim,thathemayeat bread
21AndMoseswascontenttodwellwiththeman:andhe gaveMosesZipporahhisdaughter.
22Andshebarehimason,andhecalledhisname Gershom:forhesaid,Ihavebeenastrangerinastrange land
23Anditcametopassinprocessoftime,thatthekingof Egyptdied:andthechildrenofIsraelsighedbyreasonof thebondage,andtheycried,andtheircrycameupunto Godbyreasonofthebondage
24AndGodheardtheirgroaning,andGodrememberedhis covenantwithAbraham,withIsaac,andwithJacob.
25AndGodlookeduponthechildrenofIsrael,andGod hadrespectuntothem.
CHAPTER3
1NowMoseskepttheflockofJethrohisfatherinlaw,the priestofMidian:andheledtheflocktothebacksideofthe desert,andcametothemountainofGod,eventoHoreb.
2AndtheangeloftheLORDappeareduntohiminaflame offireoutofthemidstofabush:andhelooked,and, behold,thebushburnedwithfire,andthebushwasnot consumed
3AndMosessaid,Iwillnowturnaside,andseethisgreat sight,whythebushisnotburnt.
4AndwhentheLORDsawthatheturnedasidetosee, Godcalleduntohimoutofthemidstofthebush,andsaid, Moses,Moses.Andhesaid,HereamI.
5Andhesaid,Drawnotnighhither:putoffthyshoesfrom offthyfeet,fortheplacewhereonthoustandestisholy ground.
6Moreoverhesaid,IamtheGodofthyfather,theGodof Abraham,theGodofIsaac,andtheGodofJacobAnd Moseshidhisface;forhewasafraidtolookuponGod.
7AndtheLORDsaid,Ihavesurelyseentheafflictionof mypeoplewhichareinEgypt,andhaveheardtheircryby reasonoftheirtaskmasters;forIknowtheirsorrows;
8AndIamcomedowntodeliverthemoutofthehandof theEgyptians,andtobringthemupoutofthatlanduntoa goodlandandalarge,untoalandflowingwithmilkand honey;untotheplaceoftheCanaanites,andtheHittites, andtheAmorites,andthePerizzites,andtheHivites,and theJebusites.
9Nowtherefore,behold,thecryofthechildrenofIsraelis comeuntome:andIhavealsoseentheoppression wherewiththeEgyptiansoppressthem.
10Comenowtherefore,andIwillsendtheeuntoPharaoh, thatthoumayestbringforthmypeoplethechildrenof IsraeloutofEgypt
11AndMosessaiduntoGod,WhoamI,thatIshouldgo untoPharaoh,andthatIshouldbringforththechildrenof IsraeloutofEgypt?
12Andhesaid,CertainlyIwillbewiththee;andthisshall beatokenuntothee,thatIhavesentthee:Whenthouhast broughtforththepeopleoutofEgypt,yeshallserveGod uponthismountain
13AndMosessaiduntoGod,Behold,whenIcomeunto thechildrenofIsrael,andshallsayuntothem,TheGodof yourfathershathsentmeuntoyou;andtheyshallsayto me,Whatishisname?whatshallIsayuntothem?
14AndGodsaiduntoMoses,IAMTHATIAM:andhe said,ThusshaltthousayuntothechildrenofIsrael,IAM hathsentmeuntoyou.
15AndGodsaidmoreoveruntoMoses,Thusshaltthou sayuntothechildrenofIsrael,TheLORDGodofyour
fathers,theGodofAbraham,theGodofIsaac,andthe GodofJacob,hathsentmeuntoyou:thisismynamefor ever,andthisismymemorialuntoallgenerations 16Go,andgathertheeldersofIsraeltogether,andsay untothem,TheLORDGodofyourfathers,theGodof Abraham,ofIsaac,andofJacob,appeareduntome,saying, Ihavesurelyvisitedyou,andseenthatwhichisdoneto youinEgypt:
17AndIhavesaid,Iwillbringyouupoutoftheaffliction ofEgyptuntothelandoftheCanaanites,andtheHittites, andtheAmorites,andthePerizzites,andtheHivites,and theJebusites,untoalandflowingwithmilkandhoney 18Andtheyshallhearkentothyvoice:andthoushalt come,thouandtheeldersofIsrael,untothekingofEgypt, andyeshallsayuntohim,TheLORDGodoftheHebrews hathmetwithus:andnowletusgo,webeseechthee,three days'journeyintothewilderness,thatwemaysacrificeto theLORDourGod
19AndIamsurethatthekingofEgyptwillnotletyougo, no,notbyamightyhand.
20AndIwillstretchoutmyhand,andsmiteEgyptwithall mywonderswhichIwilldointhemidstthereof:andafter thathewillletyougo.
21AndIwillgivethispeoplefavourinthesightofthe Egyptians:anditshallcometopass,that,whenyego,ye shallnotgoempty:
22Buteverywomanshallborrowofherneighbour,andof herthatsojournethinherhouse,jewelsofsilver,and jewelsofgold,andraiment:andyeshallputthemupon yoursons,anduponyourdaughters;andyeshallspoilthe Egyptians
CHAPTER4
1AndMosesansweredandsaid,But,behold,theywillnot believeme,norhearkenuntomyvoice:fortheywillsay, TheLORDhathnotappeareduntothee
2AndtheLORDsaiduntohim,Whatisthatinthinehand? Andhesaid,Arod
3Andhesaid,Castitontheground.Andhecastitonthe ground,anditbecameaserpent;andMosesfledfrom beforeit
4AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Putforththinehand, andtakeitbythetail.Andheputforthhishand,and caughtit,anditbecamearodinhishand:
5ThattheymaybelievethattheLORDGodoftheir fathers,theGodofAbraham,theGodofIsaac,andthe GodofJacob,hathappeareduntothee
6AndtheLORDsaidfurthermoreuntohim,Putnowthine handintothybosomAndheputhishandintohisbosom: andwhenhetookitout,behold,hishandwasleprousas snow.
7Andhesaid,PutthinehandintothybosomagainAndhe puthishandintohisbosomagain;andpluckeditoutofhis bosom,and,behold,itwasturnedagainashisotherflesh.
8Anditshallcometopass,iftheywillnotbelievethee, neitherhearkentothevoiceofthefirstsign,thattheywill believethevoiceofthelattersign.
9Anditshallcometopass,iftheywillnotbelievealso thesetwosigns,neitherhearkenuntothyvoice,thatthou shalttakeofthewateroftheriver,andpourituponthedry land:andthewaterwhichthoutakestoutoftherivershall becomeblooduponthedryland
10AndMosessaiduntotheLORD,OmyLord,Iamnot eloquent,neitherheretofore,norsincethouhastspoken untothyservant:butIamslowofspeech,andofaslow tongue
11AndtheLORDsaiduntohim,Whohathmademan's mouth?orwhomakeththedumb,ordeaf,ortheseeing,or theblind?havenotItheLORD?
12Nowthereforego,andIwillbewiththymouth,and teachtheewhatthoushaltsay.
13Andhesaid,OmyLord,send,Ipraythee,bythehand ofhimwhomthouwiltsend.
14AndtheangeroftheLORDwaskindledagainstMoses, andhesaid,IsnotAarontheLevitethybrother?Iknow thathecanspeakwell.Andalso,behold,hecomethforth tomeetthee:andwhenheseeththee,hewillbegladinhis heart
15Andthoushaltspeakuntohim,andputwordsinhis mouth:andIwillbewiththymouth,andwithhismouth, andwillteachyouwhatyeshalldo
16Andheshallbethyspokesmanuntothepeople:andhe shallbe,evenheshallbetotheeinsteadofamouth,and thoushaltbetohiminsteadofGod
17Andthoushalttakethisrodinthinehand,wherewith thoushaltdosigns
18AndMoseswentandreturnedtoJethrohisfatherinlaw, andsaiduntohim,Letmego,Ipraythee,andreturnunto mybrethrenwhichareinEgypt,andseewhethertheybe yetaliveAndJethrosaidtoMoses,Goinpeace
19AndtheLORDsaiduntoMosesinMidian,Go,return intoEgypt:forallthemenaredeadwhichsoughtthylife
20AndMosestookhiswifeandhissons,andsetthem uponanass,andhereturnedtothelandofEgypt:and MosestooktherodofGodinhishand
21AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Whenthougoestto returnintoEgypt,seethatthoudoallthosewondersbefore Pharaoh,whichIhaveputinthinehand:butIwillharden hisheart,thatheshallnotletthepeoplego
22AndthoushaltsayuntoPharaoh,ThussaiththeLORD, Israelismyson,evenmyfirstborn:
23AndIsayuntothee,Letmysongo,thathemayserve me:andifthourefusetolethimgo,behold,Iwillslaythy son,eventhyfirstborn
24Anditcametopassbythewayintheinn,thatthe LORDmethim,andsoughttokillhim.
25ThenZipporahtookasharpstone,andcutoffthe foreskinofherson,andcastitathisfeet,andsaid,Surelya bloodyhusbandartthoutome
26Sohelethimgo:thenshesaid,Abloodyhusbandthou art,becauseofthecircumcision.
27AndtheLORDsaidtoAaron,Gointothewildernessto meetMosesAndhewent,andmethiminthemountof God,andkissedhim.
28AndMosestoldAaronallthewordsoftheLORDwho hadsenthim,andallthesignswhichhehadcommanded him.
29AndMosesandAaronwentandgatheredtogetherall theeldersofthechildrenofIsrael:
30AndAaronspakeallthewordswhichtheLORDhad spokenuntoMoses,anddidthesignsinthesightofthe people
31Andthepeoplebelieved:andwhentheyheardthatthe LORDhadvisitedthechildrenofIsrael,andthathehad
lookedupontheiraffliction,thentheybowedtheirheads andworshipped
CHAPTER5
1AndafterwardMosesandAaronwentin,andtold Pharaoh,ThussaiththeLORDGodofIsrael,Letmy peoplego,thattheymayholdafeastuntomeinthe wilderness.
2AndPharaohsaid,WhoistheLORD,thatIshouldobey hisvoicetoletIsraelgo?IknownottheLORD,neither willIletIsraelgo
3Andtheysaid,TheGodoftheHebrewshathmetwithus: letusgo,wepraythee,threedays'journeyintothedesert, andsacrificeuntotheLORDourGod;lesthefalluponus withpestilence,orwiththesword
4AndthekingofEgyptsaiduntothem,Whereforedoye, MosesandAaron,letthepeoplefromtheirworks?getyou untoyourburdens
5AndPharaohsaid,Behold,thepeopleofthelandnoware many,andyemakethemrestfromtheirburdens
6AndPharaohcommandedthesamedaythetaskmasters ofthepeople,andtheirofficers,saying,
7Yeshallnomoregivethepeoplestrawtomakebrick,as heretofore:letthemgoandgatherstrawforthemselves
8Andthetaleofthebricks,whichtheydidmake heretofore,yeshalllayuponthem;yeshallnotdiminish oughtthereof:fortheybeidle;thereforetheycry,saying, LetusgoandsacrificetoourGod.
9Lettheremoreworkbelaiduponthemen,thattheymay labourtherein;andletthemnotregardvainwords
10Andthetaskmastersofthepeoplewentout,andtheir officers,andtheyspaketothepeople,saying,Thussaith Pharaoh,Iwillnotgiveyoustraw
11Goye,getyoustrawwhereyecanfindit:yetnotought ofyourworkshallbediminished
12Sothepeoplewerescatteredabroadthroughoutallthe landofEgypttogatherstubbleinsteadofstraw.
13Andthetaskmastershastedthem,saying,Fulfilyour works,yourdailytasks,aswhentherewasstraw.
14AndtheofficersofthechildrenofIsrael,which Pharaoh'staskmastershadsetoverthem,werebeaten,and demanded,Whereforehaveyenotfulfilledyourtaskin makingbrickbothyesterdayandtoday,asheretofore?
15ThentheofficersofthechildrenofIsraelcameand crieduntoPharaoh,saying,Whereforedealestthouthus withthyservants?
16Thereisnostrawgivenuntothyservants,andtheysay tous,Makebrick:and,behold,thyservantsarebeaten;but thefaultisinthineownpeople
17Buthesaid,Yeareidle,yeareidle:thereforeyesay, LetusgoanddosacrificetotheLORD.
18Gothereforenow,andwork;forthereshallnostrawbe givenyou,yetshallyedeliverthetaleofbricks
19AndtheofficersofthechildrenofIsraeldidseethat theywereinevilcase,afteritwassaid,Yeshallnotminish oughtfromyourbricksofyourdailytask
20AndtheymetMosesandAaron,whostoodintheway, astheycameforthfromPharaoh:
21Andtheysaiduntothem,TheLORDlookuponyou, andjudge;becauseyehavemadeoursavourtobeabhorred intheeyesofPharaoh,andintheeyesofhisservants,to putaswordintheirhandtoslayus
22AndMosesreturneduntotheLORD,andsaid,Lord, whereforehastthousoevilentreatedthispeople?whyisit thatthouhastsentme?
23ForsinceIcametoPharaohtospeakinthyname,he hathdoneeviltothispeople;neitherhastthoudelivered thypeopleatall
CHAPTER6
1ThentheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Nowshaltthousee whatIwilldotoPharaoh:forwithastronghandshallhe letthemgo,andwithastronghandshallhedrivethemout ofhisland
2AndGodspakeuntoMoses,andsaiduntohim,Iamthe LORD:
3AndIappeareduntoAbraham,untoIsaac,andunto Jacob,bythenameofGodAlmighty,butbymyname JEHOVAHwasInotknowntothem
4AndIhavealsoestablishedmycovenantwiththem,to givethemthelandofCanaan,thelandoftheirpilgrimage, whereintheywerestrangers
5AndIhavealsoheardthegroaningofthechildrenof Israel,whomtheEgyptianskeepinbondage;andIhave rememberedmycovenant
6WhereforesayuntothechildrenofIsrael,Iamthe LORD,andIwillbringyououtfromundertheburdensof theEgyptians,andIwillridyououtoftheirbondage,andI willredeemyouwithastretchedoutarm,andwithgreat judgments:
7AndIwilltakeyoutomeforapeople,andIwillbeto youaGod:andyeshallknowthatIamtheLORDyour God,whichbringethyououtfromundertheburdensofthe Egyptians
8AndIwillbringyouinuntotheland,concerningthe whichIdidsweartogiveittoAbraham,toIsaac,andto Jacob;andIwillgiveityouforanheritage:Iamthe LORD
9AndMosesspakesountothechildrenofIsrael:butthey hearkenednotuntoMosesforanguishofspirit,andfor cruelbondage.
10AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 11Goin,speakuntoPharaohkingofEgypt,thatheletthe childrenofIsraelgooutofhisland.
12AndMosesspakebeforetheLORD,saying,Behold,the childrenofIsraelhavenothearkeneduntome;howthen shallPharaohhearme,whoamofuncircumcisedlips?
13AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesanduntoAaron,and gavethemachargeuntothechildrenofIsrael,andunto PharaohkingofEgypt,tobringthechildrenofIsraeloutof thelandofEgypt
14Thesebetheheadsoftheirfathers'houses:Thesonsof ReubenthefirstbornofIsrael;Hanoch,andPallu,Hezron, andCarmi:thesebethefamiliesofReuben 15AndthesonsofSimeon;Jemuel,andJamin,andOhad, andJachin,andZohar,andShaulthesonofaCanaanitish woman:thesearethefamiliesofSimeon
16AndthesearethenamesofthesonsofLeviaccording totheirgenerations;Gershon,andKohath,andMerari:and theyearsofthelifeofLeviwereanhundredthirtyand sevenyears
17ThesonsofGershon;Libni,andShimi,accordingto theirfamilies
18AndthesonsofKohath;Amram,andIzhar,andHebron, andUzziel:andtheyearsofthelifeofKohathwerean hundredthirtyandthreeyears
19AndthesonsofMerari;MahaliandMushi:theseare thefamiliesofLeviaccordingtotheirgenerations.
20AndAmramtookhimJochebedhisfather'ssisterto wife;andshebarehimAaronandMoses:andtheyearsof thelifeofAmramwereanhundredandthirtyandseven years.
21AndthesonsofIzhar;Korah,andNepheg,andZichri 22AndthesonsofUzziel;Mishael,andElzaphan,and Zithri
23AndAarontookhimElisheba,daughterofAmminadab, sisterofNaashon,towife;andshebarehimNadab,and Abihu,Eleazar,andIthamar
24AndthesonsofKorah;Assir,andElkanah,and Abiasaph:thesearethefamiliesoftheKorhites.
25AndEleazarAaron'ssontookhimoneofthedaughters ofPutieltowife;andshebarehimPhinehas:thesearethe headsofthefathersoftheLevitesaccordingtotheir families
26ThesearethatAaronandMoses,towhomtheLORD said,BringoutthechildrenofIsraelfromthelandofEgypt accordingtotheirarmies
27ThesearetheywhichspaketoPharaohkingofEgypt,to bringoutthechildrenofIsraelfromEgypt:thesearethat MosesandAaron
28AnditcametopassonthedaywhentheLORDspake untoMosesinthelandofEgypt,
29ThattheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,Iamthe LORD:speakthouuntoPharaohkingofEgyptallthatI sayuntothee.
30AndMosessaidbeforetheLORD,Behold,Iamof uncircumcisedlips,andhowshallPharaohhearkenunto me?
CHAPTER7
1AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,See,Ihavemadetheea godtoPharaoh:andAaronthybrothershallbethyprophet.
2ThoushaltspeakallthatIcommandthee:andAaronthy brothershallspeakuntoPharaoh,thathesendthechildren ofIsraeloutofhisland.
3AndIwillhardenPharaoh'sheart,andmultiplymysigns andmywondersinthelandofEgypt
4ButPharaohshallnothearkenuntoyou,thatImaylay myhanduponEgypt,andbringforthminearmies,andmy peoplethechildrenofIsrael,outofthelandofEgyptby greatjudgments.
5AndtheEgyptiansshallknowthatIamtheLORD,when IstretchforthminehanduponEgypt,andbringoutthe childrenofIsraelfromamongthem.
6AndMosesandAarondidastheLORDcommanded them,sodidthey
7AndMoseswasfourscoreyearsold,andAaronfourscore andthreeyearsold,whentheyspakeuntoPharaoh
8AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesanduntoAaron, saying,
9WhenPharaohshallspeakuntoyou,saying,Shewa miracleforyou:thenthoushaltsayuntoAaron,Takethy rod,andcastitbeforePharaoh,anditshallbecomea serpent
10AndMosesandAaronwentinuntoPharaoh,andthey didsoastheLORDhadcommanded:andAaroncastdown hisrodbeforePharaoh,andbeforehisservants,andit becameaserpent
11ThenPharaohalsocalledthewisemenandthesorcerers: nowthemagiciansofEgypt,theyalsodidinlikemanner withtheirenchantments
12Fortheycastdowneverymanhisrod,andtheybecame serpents:butAaron'srodswalloweduptheirrods.
13AndhehardenedPharaoh'sheart,thathehearkenednot untothem;astheLORDhadsaid.

16Andthoushaltsayuntohim,TheLORDGodofthe Hebrewshathsentmeuntothee,saying,Letmypeoplego, thattheymayservemeinthewilderness:and,behold, hithertothouwouldestnothear
17ThussaiththeLORD,InthisthoushaltknowthatIam theLORD:behold,Iwillsmitewiththerodthatisinmine handuponthewaterswhichareintheriver,andtheyshall beturnedtoblood
18Andthefishthatisintherivershalldie,andtheriver shallstink;andtheEgyptiansshalllothetodrinkofthe wateroftheriver
19AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,SayuntoAaron, Takethyrod,andstretchoutthinehanduponthewatersof Egypt,upontheirstreams,upontheirrivers,andupontheir ponds,anduponalltheirpoolsofwater,thattheymay becomeblood;andthattheremaybebloodthroughoutall thelandofEgypt,bothinvesselsofwood,andinvessels ofstone.
20AndMosesandAarondidso,astheLORDcommanded; andhelifteduptherod,andsmotethewatersthatwerein theriver,inthesightofPharaoh,andinthesightofhis servants;andallthewatersthatwereintheriverwere turnedtoblood.
21Andthefishthatwasintheriverdied;andtheriver stank,andtheEgyptianscouldnotdrinkofthewaterofthe river;andtherewasbloodthroughoutallthelandofEgypt.
22AndthemagiciansofEgyptdidsowiththeir enchantments:andPharaoh'sheartwashardened,neither didhehearkenuntothem;astheLORDhadsaid
23AndPharaohturnedandwentintohishouse,neitherdid hesethishearttothisalso
24AndalltheEgyptiansdiggedroundabouttheriverfor watertodrink;fortheycouldnotdrinkofthewaterofthe river
25Andsevendayswerefulfilled,afterthattheLORDhad smittentheriver

1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,GountoPharaoh,and sayuntohim,ThussaiththeLORD,Letmypeoplego,that theymayserveme
2Andifthourefusetoletthemgo,behold,Iwillsmiteall thyborderswithfrogs:
3Andtherivershallbringforthfrogsabundantly,which shallgoupandcomeintothinehouse,andintothy
bedchamber,anduponthybed,andintothehouseofthy servants,anduponthypeople,andintothineovens,and intothykneadingtroughs:
4Andthefrogsshallcomeupbothonthee,anduponthy people,anduponallthyservants.
5AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,SayuntoAaron, Stretchforththinehandwiththyrodoverthestreams,over therivers,andovertheponds,andcausefrogstocomeup uponthelandofEgypt.
6AndAaronstretchedouthishandoverthewatersof Egypt;andthefrogscameup,andcoveredthelandof Egypt
7Andthemagiciansdidsowiththeirenchantments,and broughtupfrogsuponthelandofEgypt.
8ThenPharaohcalledforMosesandAaron,andsaid, IntreattheLORD,thathemaytakeawaythefrogsfrom me,andfrommypeople;andIwillletthepeoplego,that theymaydosacrificeuntotheLORD
9AndMosessaiduntoPharaoh,Gloryoverme:when shallIintreatforthee,andforthyservants,andforthy people,todestroythefrogsfromtheeandthyhouses,that theymayremainintheriveronly?
10Andhesaid,Tomorrow.Andhesaid,Beitaccording tothyword:thatthoumayestknowthatthereisnonelike untotheLORDourGod
11Andthefrogsshalldepartfromthee,andfromthy houses,andfromthyservants,andfromthypeople;they shallremainintheriveronly
12AndMosesandAaronwentoutfromPharaoh:and MosescrieduntotheLORDbecauseofthefrogswhichhe hadbroughtagainstPharaoh
13AndtheLORDdidaccordingtothewordofMoses;and thefrogsdiedoutofthehouses,outofthevillages,andout ofthefields
14Andtheygatheredthemtogetheruponheaps:andthe landstank
15ButwhenPharaohsawthattherewasrespite,he hardenedhisheart,andhearkenednotuntothem;asthe LORDhadsaid
16AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,SayuntoAaron, Stretchoutthyrod,andsmitethedustoftheland,thatit maybecomelicethroughoutallthelandofEgypt
17Andtheydidso;forAaronstretchedouthishandwith hisrod,andsmotethedustoftheearth,anditbecamelice inman,andinbeast;allthedustofthelandbecamelice throughoutallthelandofEgypt
18Andthemagiciansdidsowiththeirenchantmentsto bringforthlice,buttheycouldnot:sotherewereliceupon man,anduponbeast.
19ThenthemagicianssaiduntoPharaoh,Thisisthefinger ofGod:andPharaoh'sheartwashardened,andhe hearkenednotuntothem;astheLORDhadsaid.
20AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Riseupearlyinthe morning,andstandbeforePharaoh;lo,hecomethforthto thewater;andsayuntohim,ThussaiththeLORD,Letmy peoplego,thattheymayserveme
21Else,ifthouwiltnotletmypeoplego,behold,Iwill sendswarmsoffliesuponthee,anduponthyservants,and uponthypeople,andintothyhouses:andthehousesofthe Egyptiansshallbefullofswarmsofflies,andalsothe groundwhereontheyare.
22AndIwillseverinthatdaythelandofGoshen,in whichmypeopledwell,thatnoswarmsoffliesshallbe
there;totheendthoumayestknowthatIamtheLORDin themidstoftheearth
23AndIwillputadivisionbetweenmypeopleandthy people:tomorrowshallthissignbe
24AndtheLORDdidso;andtherecameagrievous swarmoffliesintothehouseofPharaoh,andintohis servants'houses,andintoallthelandofEgypt:theland wascorruptedbyreasonoftheswarmofflies.
25AndPharaohcalledforMosesandforAaron,andsaid, Goye,sacrificetoyourGodintheland
26AndMosessaid,Itisnotmeetsotodo;forweshall sacrificetheabominationoftheEgyptianstotheLORD ourGod:lo,shallwesacrificetheabominationofthe Egyptiansbeforetheireyes,andwilltheynotstoneus?
27Wewillgothreedays'journeyintothewilderness,and sacrificetotheLORDourGod,asheshallcommandus
28AndPharaohsaid,Iwillletyougo,thatyemay sacrificetotheLORDyourGodinthewilderness;onlyye shallnotgoveryfaraway:intreatforme
29AndMosessaid,Behold,Igooutfromthee,andIwill intreattheLORDthattheswarmsoffliesmaydepartfrom Pharaoh,fromhisservants,andfromhispeople,tomorrow: butletnotPharaohdealdeceitfullyanymoreinnotletting thepeoplegotosacrificetotheLORD
30AndMoseswentoutfromPharaoh,andintreatedthe LORD.
31AndtheLORDdidaccordingtothewordofMoses;and heremovedtheswarmsoffliesfromPharaoh,fromhis servants,andfromhispeople;thereremainednotone.

11AndthemagicianscouldnotstandbeforeMoses becauseoftheboils;fortheboilwasuponthemagicians, anduponalltheEgyptians
12AndtheLORDhardenedtheheartofPharaoh,andhe hearkenednotuntothem;astheLORDhadspokenunto Moses
13AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Riseupearlyinthe morning,andstandbeforePharaoh,andsayuntohim,Thus saiththeLORDGodoftheHebrews,Letmypeoplego, thattheymayserveme

18Behold,tomorrowaboutthistimeIwillcauseittorain averygrievoushail,suchashathnotbeeninEgyptsince thefoundationthereofevenuntilnow
19Sendthereforenow,andgatherthycattle,andallthat thouhastinthefield;foruponeverymanandbeastwhich shallbefoundinthefield,andshallnotbebroughthome, thehailshallcomedownuponthem,andtheyshalldie 20HethatfearedthewordoftheLORDamongthe servantsofPharaohmadehisservantsandhiscattleflee intothehouses:
21AndhethatregardednotthewordoftheLORDlefthis servantsandhiscattleinthefield
22AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Stretchforththine handtowardheaven,thattheremaybehailinalltheland ofEgypt,uponman,anduponbeast,anduponeveryherb ofthefield,throughoutthelandofEgypt
23AndMosesstretchedforthhisrodtowardheaven:and theLORDsentthunderandhail,andthefireranalong upontheground;andtheLORDrainedhailupontheland ofEgypt.
24Sotherewashail,andfiremingledwiththehail,very grievous,suchastherewasnonelikeitinallthelandof Egyptsinceitbecameanation.
25AndthehailsmotethroughoutallthelandofEgyptall thatwasinthefield,bothmanandbeast;andthehail smoteeveryherbofthefield,andbrakeeverytreeofthe field
26OnlyinthelandofGoshen,wherethechildrenofIsrael were,wastherenohail
27AndPharaohsent,andcalledforMosesandAaron,and saiduntothem,Ihavesinnedthistime:theLORDis righteous,andIandmypeoplearewicked
28IntreattheLORD(foritisenough)thattherebeno moremightythunderingsandhail;andIwillletyougo, andyeshallstaynolonger
29AndMosessaiduntohim,AssoonasIamgoneoutof thecity,IwillspreadabroadmyhandsuntotheLORD; andthethundershallcease,neithershalltherebeanymore hail;thatthoumayestknowhowthattheearthisthe LORD'S.
30Butasfortheeandthyservants,Iknowthatyewillnot yetfeartheLORDGod
31Andtheflaxandthebarleywassmitten:forthebarley wasintheear,andtheflaxwasbolled
32Butthewheatandtheriewerenotsmitten:forthey werenotgrownup
33AndMoseswentoutofthecityfromPharaoh,and spreadabroadhishandsuntotheLORD:andthethunders andhailceased,andtherainwasnotpouredupontheearth
34AndwhenPharaohsawthattherainandthehailandthe thunderswereceased,hesinnedyetmore,andhardenedhis heart,heandhisservants
35AndtheheartofPharaohwashardened,neitherwould heletthechildrenofIsraelgo;astheLORDhadspokenby Moses

1AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,GoinuntoPharaoh:for Ihavehardenedhisheart,andtheheartofhisservants,that Imightshewthesemysignsbeforehim:
2Andthatthoumayesttellintheearsofthyson,andof thyson'sson,whatthingsIhavewroughtinEgypt,andmy signswhichIhavedoneamongthem;thatyemayknow howthatIamtheLORD.
3AndMosesandAaroncameinuntoPharaoh,andsaid untohim,ThussaiththeLORDGodoftheHebrews,How longwiltthourefusetohumblethyselfbeforeme?letmy peoplego,thattheymayserveme
4Else,ifthourefusetoletmypeoplego,behold,to morrowwillIbringthelocustsintothycoast:
5Andtheyshallcoverthefaceoftheearth,thatonecannot beabletoseetheearth:andtheyshalleattheresidueof thatwhichisescaped,whichremainethuntoyoufromthe hail,andshalleateverytreewhichgrowethforyououtof thefield:
6Andtheyshallfillthyhouses,andthehousesofallthy servants,andthehousesofalltheEgyptians;whichneither thyfathers,northyfathers'fathershaveseen,sincetheday thattheywereupontheearthuntothisday.Andheturned himself,andwentoutfromPharaoh
7AndPharaoh'sservantssaiduntohim,Howlongshall thismanbeasnareuntous?letthemengo,thattheymay servetheLORDtheirGod:knowestthounotyetthatEgypt isdestroyed?
8AndMosesandAaronwerebroughtagainuntoPharaoh: andhesaiduntothem,Go,servetheLORDyourGod:but whoaretheythatshallgo?
9AndMosessaid,Wewillgowithouryoungandwithour old,withoursonsandwithourdaughters,withourflocks andwithourherdswillwego;forwemustholdafeast untotheLORD
10Andhesaiduntothem,LettheLORDbesowithyou, asIwillletyougo,andyourlittleones:looktoit;forevil isbeforeyou
11Notso:gonowyethataremen,andservetheLORD; forthatyediddesire.Andtheyweredrivenoutfrom Pharaoh'spresence
12AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Stretchoutthinehand overthelandofEgyptforthelocusts,thattheymaycome upuponthelandofEgypt,andeateveryherboftheland, evenallthatthehailhathleft
13AndMosesstretchedforthhisrodoverthelandof Egypt,andtheLORDbroughtaneastwindupontheland
allthatday,andallthatnight;andwhenitwasmorning, theeastwindbroughtthelocusts
14AndthelocustswentupoverallthelandofEgypt,and restedinallthecoastsofEgypt:verygrievouswerethey; beforethemtherewerenosuchlocustsasthey,neither afterthemshallbesuch
15Fortheycoveredthefaceofthewholeearth,sothatthe landwasdarkened;andtheydideateveryherboftheland, andallthefruitofthetreeswhichthehailhadleft:and thereremainednotanygreenthinginthetrees,orinthe herbsofthefield,throughallthelandofEgypt.
16ThenPharaohcalledforMosesandAaroninhaste;and hesaid,IhavesinnedagainsttheLORDyourGod,and againstyou.
17Nowthereforeforgive,Ipraythee,mysinonlythis once,andintreattheLORDyourGod,thathemaytake awayfrommethisdeathonly.
18AndhewentoutfromPharaoh,andintreatedtheLORD 19AndtheLORDturnedamightystrongwestwind, whichtookawaythelocusts,andcastthemintotheRed sea;thereremainednotonelocustinallthecoastsofEgypt 20ButtheLORDhardenedPharaoh'sheart,sothathe wouldnotletthechildrenofIsraelgo.
21AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Stretchoutthinehand towardheaven,thattheremaybedarknessoverthelandof Egypt,evendarknesswhichmaybefelt.
22AndMosesstretchedforthhishandtowardheaven;and therewasathickdarknessinallthelandofEgyptthree days:
23Theysawnotoneanother,neitherroseanyfromhis placeforthreedays:butallthechildrenofIsraelhadlight intheirdwellings.
24AndPharaohcalleduntoMoses,andsaid,Goye,serve theLORD;onlyletyourflocksandyourherdsbestayed: letyourlittleonesalsogowithyou.
25AndMosessaid,Thoumustgiveusalsosacrificesand burntofferings,thatwemaysacrificeuntotheLORDour God.
26Ourcattlealsoshallgowithus;thereshallnotanhoof beleftbehind;forthereofmustwetaketoservetheLORD ourGod;andweknownotwithwhatwemustservethe LORD,untilwecomethither
27ButtheLORDhardenedPharaoh'sheart,andhewould notletthemgo.
28AndPharaohsaiduntohim,Gettheefromme,take heedtothyself,seemyfacenomore;forinthatdaythou seestmyfacethoushaltdie
29AndMosessaid,Thouhastspokenwell,Iwillseethy faceagainnomore.
CHAPTER11
1AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,YetwillIbringone plaguemoreuponPharaoh,anduponEgypt;afterwardshe willletyougohence:whenheshallletyougo,heshall surelythrustyououthencealtogether
2Speaknowintheearsofthepeople,andleteveryman borrowofhisneighbour,andeverywomanofher neighbour,jewelsofsilver,andjewelsofgold
3AndtheLORDgavethepeoplefavourinthesightofthe Egyptians.MoreoverthemanMoseswasverygreatinthe landofEgypt,inthesightofPharaoh'sservants,andinthe sightofthepeople
4AndMosessaid,ThussaiththeLORD,Aboutmidnight willIgooutintothemidstofEgypt:
5AndallthefirstborninthelandofEgyptshalldie,from thefirstbornofPharaohthatsittethuponhisthrone,even untothefirstbornofthemaidservantthatisbehindthemill; andallthefirstbornofbeasts
6Andthereshallbeagreatcrythroughoutallthelandof Egypt,suchastherewasnonelikeit,norshallbelikeit anymore.
7ButagainstanyofthechildrenofIsraelshallnotadog movehistongue,againstmanorbeast:thatyemayknow howthattheLORDdothputadifferencebetweenthe EgyptiansandIsrael
8Andallthesethyservantsshallcomedownuntome,and bowdownthemselvesuntome,saying,Gettheeout,and allthepeoplethatfollowthee:andafterthatIwillgoout AndhewentoutfromPharaohinagreatanger.
9AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Pharaohshallnot hearkenuntoyou;thatmywondersmaybemultipliedin thelandofEgypt.
10AndMosesandAarondidallthesewondersbefore Pharaoh:andtheLORDhardenedPharaoh'sheart,sothat hewouldnotletthechildrenofIsraelgooutofhisland.
CHAPTER12
1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesandAaronintheland ofEgypt,saying,
2Thismonthshallbeuntoyouthebeginningofmonths:it shallbethefirstmonthoftheyeartoyou
3SpeakyeuntoallthecongregationofIsrael,saying,In thetenthdayofthismonththeyshalltaketothemevery manalamb,accordingtothehouseoftheirfathers,alamb foranhouse:
4Andifthehouseholdbetoolittleforthelamb,lethim andhisneighbournextuntohishousetakeitaccordingto thenumberofthesouls;everymanaccordingtohiseating shallmakeyourcountforthelamb.
5Yourlambshallbewithoutblemish,amaleofthefirst year:yeshalltakeitoutfromthesheep,orfromthegoats:
6Andyeshallkeepitupuntilthefourteenthdayofthe samemonth:andthewholeassemblyofthecongregation ofIsraelshallkillitintheevening.
7Andtheyshalltakeoftheblood,andstrikeitonthetwo sidepostsandontheupperdoorpostofthehouses, whereintheyshalleatit
8Andtheyshalleatthefleshinthatnight,roastwithfire, andunleavenedbread;andwithbitterherbstheyshalleatit
9Eatnotofitraw,norsoddenatallwithwater,butroast withfire;hisheadwithhislegs,andwiththepurtenance thereof
10Andyeshallletnothingofitremainuntilthemorning; andthatwhichremainethofituntilthemorningyeshall burnwithfire
11Andthusshallyeeatit;withyourloinsgirded,your shoesonyourfeet,andyourstaffinyourhand;andye shalleatitinhaste:itistheLORD'Spassover
12ForIwillpassthroughthelandofEgyptthisnight,and willsmiteallthefirstborninthelandofEgypt,bothman andbeast;andagainstallthegodsofEgyptIwillexecute judgment:IamtheLORD.
13Andthebloodshallbetoyouforatokenuponthe houseswhereyeare:andwhenIseetheblood,Iwillpass
overyou,andtheplagueshallnotbeuponyoutodestroy you,whenIsmitethelandofEgypt 14Andthisdayshallbeuntoyouforamemorial;andye shallkeepitafeasttotheLORDthroughoutyour generations;yeshallkeepitafeastbyanordinancefor ever
15Sevendaysshallyeeatunleavenedbread;eventhefirst dayyeshallputawayleavenoutofyourhouses:for whosoevereatethleavenedbreadfromthefirstdayuntil theseventhday,thatsoulshallbecutofffromIsrael
16Andinthefirstdaythereshallbeanholyconvocation, andintheseventhdaythereshallbeanholyconvocation toyou;nomannerofworkshallbedoneinthem,savethat whicheverymanmusteat,thatonlymaybedoneofyou.
17Andyeshallobservethefeastofunleavenedbread;for inthisselfsamedayhaveIbroughtyourarmiesoutofthe landofEgypt:thereforeshallyeobservethisdayinyour generationsbyanordinanceforever
18Inthefirstmonth,onthefourteenthdayofthemonthat even,yeshalleatunleavenedbread,untiltheoneand twentiethdayofthemonthateven
19Sevendaysshalltherebenoleavenfoundinyour houses:forwhosoevereateththatwhichisleavened,even thatsoulshallbecutofffromthecongregationofIsrael, whetherhebeastranger,orbornintheland
20Yeshalleatnothingleavened;inallyourhabitations shallyeeatunleavenedbread
21ThenMosescalledforalltheeldersofIsrael,andsaid untothem,Drawoutandtakeyoualambaccordingtoyour families,andkillthepassover
22Andyeshalltakeabunchofhyssop,anddipitinthe bloodthatisinthebason,andstrikethelintelandthetwo sidepostswiththebloodthatisinthebason;andnoneof youshallgooutatthedoorofhishouseuntilthemorning 23FortheLORDwillpassthroughtosmitetheEgyptians; andwhenheseeththeblooduponthelintel,andonthetwo sideposts,theLORDwillpassoverthedoor,andwillnot sufferthedestroyertocomeinuntoyourhousestosmite you
24Andyeshallobservethisthingforanordinancetothee andtothysonsforever.
25Anditshallcometopass,whenyebecometotheland whichtheLORDwillgiveyou,accordingashehath promised,thatyeshallkeepthisservice.
26Anditshallcometopass,whenyourchildrenshallsay untoyou,Whatmeanyebythisservice?
27Thatyeshallsay,ItisthesacrificeoftheLORD'S passover,whopassedoverthehousesofthechildrenof IsraelinEgypt,whenhesmotetheEgyptians,and deliveredourhousesAndthepeoplebowedtheheadand worshipped
28AndthechildrenofIsraelwentaway,anddidasthe LORDhadcommandedMosesandAaron,sodidthey
29Anditcametopass,thatatmidnighttheLORDsmote allthefirstborninthelandofEgypt,fromthefirstbornof Pharaohthatsatonhisthroneuntothefirstbornofthe captivethatwasinthedungeon;andallthefirstbornof cattle.
30AndPharaohroseupinthenight,he,andallhis servants,andalltheEgyptians;andtherewasagreatcryin Egypt;fortherewasnotahousewheretherewasnotone dead
31AndhecalledforMosesandAaronbynight,andsaid, Riseup,andgetyouforthfromamongmypeople,bothye andthechildrenofIsrael;andgo,servetheLORD,asye havesaid
32Alsotakeyourflocksandyourherds,asyehavesaid, andbegone;andblessmealso

41Anditcametopassattheendofthefourhundredand thirtyyears,eventheselfsamedayitcametopass,thatall thehostsoftheLORDwentoutfromthelandofEgypt.
42ItisanighttobemuchobserveduntotheLORDfor bringingthemoutfromthelandofEgypt:thisisthatnight oftheLORDtobeobservedofallthechildrenofIsraelin theirgenerations
43AndtheLORDsaiduntoMosesandAaron,Thisisthe ordinanceofthepassover:Thereshallnostrangereat thereof:
44Buteveryman'sservantthatisboughtformoney,when thouhastcircumcisedhim,thenshallheeatthereof.
45Aforeignerandanhiredservantshallnoteatthereof
46Inonehouseshallitbeeaten;thoushaltnotcarryforth oughtofthefleshabroadoutofthehouse;neithershallye breakabonethereof
47AllthecongregationofIsraelshallkeepit
48Andwhenastrangershallsojournwiththee,andwill keepthepassovertotheLORD,letallhismalesbe circumcised,andthenlethimcomenearandkeepit;and heshallbeasonethatisbornintheland:forno uncircumcisedpersonshalleatthereof
49Onelawshallbetohimthatishomeborn,anduntothe strangerthatsojournethamongyou
50ThusdidallthechildrenofIsrael;astheLORD commandedMosesandAaron,sodidthey.

1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
2Sanctifyuntomeallthefirstborn,whatsoeveropeneth thewombamongthechildrenofIsrael,bothofmanandof beast:itismine
3AndMosessaiduntothepeople,Rememberthisday,in whichyecameoutfromEgypt,outofthehouseof bondage;forbystrengthofhandtheLORDbroughtyou outfromthisplace:thereshallnoleavenedbreadbeeaten 4ThisdaycameyeoutinthemonthAbib.
5AnditshallbewhentheLORDshallbringtheeintothe landoftheCanaanites,andtheHittites,andtheAmorites, andtheHivites,andtheJebusites,whichheswareuntothy fatherstogivethee,alandflowingwithmilkandhoney, thatthoushaltkeepthisserviceinthismonth
6Sevendaysthoushalteatunleavenedbread,andinthe seventhdayshallbeafeasttotheLORD
7Unleavenedbreadshallbeeatensevendays;andthere shallnoleavenedbreadbeseenwiththee,neithershall therebeleavenseenwiththeeinallthyquarters
8Andthoushaltshewthysoninthatday,saying,Thisis donebecauseofthatwhichtheLORDdiduntomewhenI cameforthoutofEgypt
9Anditshallbeforasignuntotheeuponthinehand,and foramemorialbetweenthineeyes,thattheLORD'Slaw maybeinthymouth:forwithastronghandhaththe LORDbroughttheeoutofEgypt
10Thoushaltthereforekeepthisordinanceinhisseason fromyeartoyear
11AnditshallbewhentheLORDshallbringtheeintothe landoftheCanaanites,asheswareuntotheeandtothy fathers,andshallgiveitthee,
12ThatthoushaltsetapartuntotheLORDallthatopeneth thematrix,andeveryfirstlingthatcomethofabeastwhich thouhast;themalesshallbetheLORD'S 13Andeveryfirstlingofanassthoushaltredeemwitha lamb;andifthouwiltnotredeemit,thenthoushaltbreak hisneck:andallthefirstbornofmanamongthychildren shaltthouredeem

15Anditcametopass,whenPharaohwouldhardlyletus go,thattheLORDslewallthefirstborninthelandof Egypt,boththefirstbornofman,andthefirstbornofbeast: thereforeIsacrificetotheLORDallthatopeneththe matrix,beingmales;butallthefirstbornofmychildrenI redeem
16Anditshallbeforatokenuponthinehand,andfor frontletsbetweenthineeyes:forbystrengthofhandthe LORDbroughtusforthoutofEgypt

1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
2SpeakuntothechildrenofIsrael,thattheyturnand encampbeforePihahiroth,betweenMigdolandthesea, overagainstBaalzephon:beforeitshallyeencampbythe sea
3ForPharaohwillsayofthechildrenofIsrael,Theyare entangledintheland,thewildernesshathshutthemin.
4AndIwillhardenPharaoh'sheart,thatheshallfollow afterthem;andIwillbehonoureduponPharaoh,andupon allhishost;thattheEgyptiansmayknowthatIamthe LORDAndtheydidso
5AnditwastoldthekingofEgyptthatthepeoplefled: andtheheartofPharaohandofhisservantswasturned againstthepeople,andtheysaid,Whyhavewedonethis, thatwehaveletIsraelgofromservingus?
6Andhemadereadyhischariot,andtookhispeoplewith him:
7Andhetooksixhundredchosenchariots,andallthe chariotsofEgypt,andcaptainsovereveryoneofthem.
8AndtheLORDhardenedtheheartofPharaohkingof Egypt,andhepursuedafterthechildrenofIsrael:andthe childrenofIsraelwentoutwithanhighhand.
9ButtheEgyptianspursuedafterthem,allthehorsesand chariotsofPharaoh,andhishorsemen,andhisarmy,and overtookthemencampingbythesea,besidePihahiroth, beforeBaalzephon
10AndwhenPharaohdrewnigh,thechildrenofIsrael lifteduptheireyes,and,behold,theEgyptiansmarched afterthem;andtheyweresoreafraid:andthechildrenof IsraelcriedoutuntotheLORD.
11AndtheysaiduntoMoses,Becausetherewereno gravesinEgypt,hastthoutakenusawaytodieinthe wilderness?whereforehastthoudealtthuswithus,tocarry usforthoutofEgypt?
12IsnotthisthewordthatwedidtelltheeinEgypt,saying, Letusalone,thatwemayservetheEgyptians?Forithad beenbetterforustoservetheEgyptians,thanthatwe shoulddieinthewilderness
13AndMosessaiduntothepeople,Fearyenot,standstill, andseethesalvationoftheLORD,whichhewillshewto youtoday:fortheEgyptianswhomyehaveseentoday, yeshallseethemagainnomoreforever.
14TheLORDshallfightforyou,andyeshallholdyour peace
15AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Whereforecriestthou untome?speakuntothechildrenofIsrael,thattheygo forward:
16Butliftthouupthyrod,andstretchoutthinehandover thesea,anddivideit:andthechildrenofIsraelshallgoon drygroundthroughthemidstofthesea
17AndI,behold,IwillhardentheheartsoftheEgyptians, andtheyshallfollowthem:andIwillgetmehonourupon
Pharaoh,anduponallhishost,uponhischariots,andupon hishorsemen
18AndtheEgyptiansshallknowthatIamtheLORD, whenIhavegottenmehonouruponPharaoh,uponhis chariots,anduponhishorsemen.
19AndtheangelofGod,whichwentbeforethecampof Israel,removedandwentbehindthem;andthepillarofthe cloudwentfrombeforetheirface,andstoodbehindthem: 20AnditcamebetweenthecampoftheEgyptiansandthe campofIsrael;anditwasacloudanddarknesstothem, butitgavelightbynighttothese:sothattheonecamenot neartheotherallthenight
21AndMosesstretchedouthishandoverthesea;andthe LORDcausedtheseatogobackbyastrongeastwindall thatnight,andmadetheseadryland,andthewaterswere divided
22AndthechildrenofIsraelwentintothemidstofthesea uponthedryground:andthewaterswereawalluntothem ontheirrighthand,andontheirleft

26AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Stretchoutthinehand overthesea,thatthewatersmaycomeagainuponthe Egyptians,upontheirchariots,andupontheirhorsemen
27AndMosesstretchedforthhishandoverthesea,and theseareturnedtohisstrengthwhenthemorningappeared; andtheEgyptiansfledagainstit;andtheLORDoverthrew theEgyptiansinthemidstofthesea
28Andthewatersreturned,andcoveredthechariots,and thehorsemen,andallthehostofPharaohthatcameinto theseaafterthem;thereremainednotsomuchasoneof them.
29ButthechildrenofIsraelwalkedupondrylandinthe midstofthesea;andthewaterswereawalluntothemon theirrighthand,andontheirleft.
30ThustheLORDsavedIsraelthatdayoutofthehandof theEgyptians;andIsraelsawtheEgyptiansdeaduponthe seashore

1ThensangMosesandthechildrenofIsraelthissongunto theLORD,andspake,saying,IwillsinguntotheLORD, forhehathtriumphedgloriously:thehorseandhisrider hathhethrownintothesea
2TheLORDismystrengthandsong,andheisbecome mysalvation:heismyGod,andIwillpreparehiman habitation;myfather'sGod,andIwillexalthim
3TheLORDisamanofwar:theLORDishisname.
4Pharaoh'schariotsandhishosthathhecastintothesea: hischosencaptainsalsoaredrownedintheRedsea
5Thedepthshavecoveredthem:theysankintothebottom asastone
6Thyrighthand,OLORD,isbecomegloriousinpower: thyrighthand,OLORD,hathdashedinpiecestheenemy
7Andinthegreatnessofthineexcellencythouhast overthrownthemthatroseupagainstthee:thousentest forththywrath,whichconsumedthemasstubble
8Andwiththeblastofthynostrilsthewaterswere gatheredtogether,thefloodsstooduprightasanheap,and thedepthswerecongealedintheheartofthesea

13Thouinthymercyhastledforththepeoplewhichthou hastredeemed:thouhastguidedtheminthystrengthunto thyholyhabitation.
14Thepeopleshallhear,andbeafraid:sorrowshalltake holdontheinhabitantsofPalestina
15ThenthedukesofEdomshallbeamazed;themighty menofMoab,tremblingshalltakeholduponthem;allthe inhabitantsofCanaanshallmeltaway
16Fearanddreadshallfalluponthem;bythegreatnessof thinearmtheyshallbeasstillasastone;tillthypeople passover,OLORD,tillthepeoplepassover,whichthou hastpurchased.
17Thoushaltbringthemin,andplanttheminthe mountainofthineinheritance,intheplace,OLORD, whichthouhastmadefortheetodwellin,intheSanctuary, OLord,whichthyhandshaveestablished 18TheLORDshallreignforeverandever
19ForthehorseofPharaohwentinwithhischariotsand withhishorsemenintothesea,andtheLORDbrought againthewatersoftheseauponthem;butthechildrenof Israelwentondrylandinthemidstofthesea.
20AndMiriamtheprophetess,thesisterofAaron,tooka timbrelinherhand;andallthewomenwentoutafterher withtimbrelsandwithdances.
21AndMiriamansweredthem,SingyetotheLORD,for hehathtriumphedgloriously;thehorseandhisriderhath hethrownintothesea
22SoMosesbroughtIsraelfromtheRedsea,andthey wentoutintothewildernessofShur;andtheywentthree daysinthewilderness,andfoundnowater
23AndwhentheycametoMarah,theycouldnotdrinkof thewatersofMarah,fortheywerebitter:thereforethe nameofitwascalledMarah
24AndthepeoplemurmuredagainstMoses,saying,What shallwedrink?
25AndhecrieduntotheLORD;andtheLORDshewed himatree,whichwhenhehadcastintothewaters,the watersweremadesweet:therehemadeforthemastatute andanordinance,andthereheprovedthem,
26Andsaid,Ifthouwiltdiligentlyhearkentothevoiceof theLORDthyGod,andwiltdothatwhichisrightinhis sight,andwiltgiveeartohiscommandments,andkeepall hisstatutes,Iwillputnoneofthesediseasesuponthee,

1AndtheytooktheirjourneyfromElim,andallthe congregationofthechildrenofIsraelcameuntothe wildernessofSin,whichisbetweenElimandSinai,onthe fifteenthdayofthesecondmonthaftertheirdepartingout ofthelandofEgypt
2AndthewholecongregationofthechildrenofIsrael murmuredagainstMosesandAaroninthewilderness: 3AndthechildrenofIsraelsaiduntothem,WouldtoGod wehaddiedbythehandoftheLORDinthelandofEgypt, whenwesatbythefleshpots,andwhenwedideatbread tothefull;foryehavebroughtusforthintothiswilderness, tokillthiswholeassemblywithhunger.
4ThensaidtheLORDuntoMoses,Behold,Iwillrain breadfromheavenforyou;andthepeopleshallgooutand gatheracertainrateeveryday,thatImayprovethem, whethertheywillwalkinmylaw,orno

11AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 12IhaveheardthemurmuringsofthechildrenofIsrael: speakuntothem,saying,Atevenyeshalleatflesh,andin themorningyeshallbefilledwithbread;andyeshall knowthatIamtheLORDyourGod
13Anditcametopass,thatateventhequailscameup, andcoveredthecamp:andinthemorningthedewlay roundaboutthehost

20NotwithstandingtheyhearkenednotuntoMoses;but someofthemleftofituntilthemorning,anditbredworms, andstank:andMoseswaswrothwiththem

22Anditcametopass,thatonthesixthdaytheygathered twiceasmuchbread,twoomersforoneman:andallthe rulersofthecongregationcameandtoldMoses

26Sixdaysyeshallgatherit;butontheseventhday, whichisthesabbath,initthereshallbenone.
27Anditcametopass,thattherewentoutsomeofthe peopleontheseventhdayfortogather,andtheyfound none.
28AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Howlongrefuseyeto keepmycommandmentsandmylaws?
29See,forthattheLORDhathgivenyouthesabbath, thereforehegivethyouonthesixthdaythebreadoftwo days;abideyeeverymaninhisplace,letnomangooutof hisplaceontheseventhday.
30Sothepeoplerestedontheseventhday
31AndthehouseofIsraelcalledthenamethereofManna: anditwaslikecorianderseed,white;andthetasteofitwas likewafersmadewithhoney

2WhereforethepeopledidchidewithMoses,andsaid, GiveuswaterthatwemaydrinkAndMosessaidunto them,Whychideyewithme?whereforedoyetemptthe LORD?
3Andthepeoplethirstedthereforwater;andthepeople murmuredagainstMoses,andsaid,Whereforeisthisthat thouhastbroughtusupoutofEgypt,tokillusandour childrenandourcattlewiththirst?

16Whentheyhaveamatter,theycomeuntome;andI judgebetweenoneandanother,andIdomakethemknow thestatutesofGod,andhislaws
17AndMoses'fatherinlawsaiduntohim,Thethingthat thoudoestisnotgood.
18Thouwiltsurelywearaway,boththou,andthispeople thatiswiththee:forthisthingistooheavyforthee;thou artnotabletoperformitthyselfalone.
19Hearkennowuntomyvoice,Iwillgivetheecounsel, andGodshallbewiththee:BethouforthepeopletoGodward,thatthoumayestbringthecausesuntoGod:
20Andthoushaltteachthemordinancesandlaws,and shaltshewthemthewaywhereintheymustwalk,andthe workthattheymustdo
21Moreoverthoushaltprovideoutofallthepeopleable men,suchasfearGod,menoftruth,hatingcovetousness; andplacesuchoverthem,toberulersofthousands,and rulersofhundreds,rulersoffifties,andrulersoftens:
22Andletthemjudgethepeopleatallseasons:anditshall be,thateverygreatmattertheyshallbringuntothee,but everysmallmattertheyshalljudge:soshallitbeeasierfor thyself,andtheyshallbeartheburdenwiththee.
23Ifthoushaltdothisthing,andGodcommandtheeso, thenthoushaltbeabletoendure,andallthispeopleshall alsogototheirplaceinpeace.
24SoMoseshearkenedtothevoiceofhisfatherinlaw, anddidallthathehadsaid
25AndMoseschoseablemenoutofallIsrael,andmade themheadsoverthepeople,rulersofthousands,rulersof hundreds,rulersoffifties,andrulersoftens
26Andtheyjudgedthepeopleatallseasons:thehard causestheybroughtuntoMoses,buteverysmallmatter theyjudgedthemselves
27AndMoseslethisfatherinlawdepart;andhewenthis wayintohisownland.
CHAPTER19
1Inthethirdmonth,whenthechildrenofIsraelweregone forthoutofthelandofEgypt,thesamedaycametheyinto thewildernessofSinai.
2FortheyweredepartedfromRephidim,andwerecome tothedesertofSinai,andhadpitchedinthewilderness; andthereIsraelcampedbeforethemount.
3AndMoseswentupuntoGod,andtheLORDcalledunto himoutofthemountain,saying,Thusshaltthousaytothe houseofJacob,andtellthechildrenofIsrael;
4YehaveseenwhatIdiduntotheEgyptians,andhowI bareyouoneagles'wings,andbroughtyouuntomyself
5Nowtherefore,ifyewillobeymyvoiceindeed,andkeep mycovenant,thenyeshallbeapeculiartreasureuntome aboveallpeople:foralltheearthismine:
6Andyeshallbeuntomeakingdomofpriests,andan holynationThesearethewordswhichthoushaltspeak untothechildrenofIsrael
7AndMosescameandcalledfortheeldersofthepeople, andlaidbeforetheirfacesallthesewordswhichtheLORD commandedhim
8Andallthepeopleansweredtogether,andsaid,Allthat theLORDhathspokenwewilldoAndMosesreturnedthe wordsofthepeopleuntotheLORD
9AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Lo,Icomeuntotheein athickcloud,thatthepeoplemayhearwhenIspeakwith thee,andbelievetheeforeverAndMosestoldthewords ofthepeopleuntotheLORD.
10AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Gountothepeople, andsanctifythemtodayandtomorrow,andletthemwash theirclothes,
11Andbereadyagainstthethirdday:forthethirddaythe LORDwillcomedowninthesightofallthepeopleupon mountSinai.
12Andthoushaltsetboundsuntothepeopleroundabout, saying,Takeheedtoyourselves,thatyegonotupintothe mount,ortouchtheborderofit:whosoevertoucheththe mountshallbesurelyputtodeath:
13Thereshallnotanhandtouchit,butheshallsurelybe stoned,orshotthrough;whetheritbebeastorman,itshall notlive:whenthetrumpetsoundethlong,theyshallcome uptothemount.
14AndMoseswentdownfromthemountuntothepeople, andsanctifiedthepeople;andtheywashedtheirclothes
15Andhesaiduntothepeople,Bereadyagainstthethird day:comenotatyourwives
16Anditcametopassonthethirddayinthemorning,that therewerethundersandlightnings,andathickcloudupon themount,andthevoiceofthetrumpetexceedingloud;so thatallthepeoplethatwasinthecamptrembled
17AndMosesbroughtforththepeopleoutofthecampto meetwithGod;andtheystoodatthenetherpartofthe mount
18AndmountSinaiwasaltogetheronasmoke,because theLORDdescendeduponitinfire:andthesmokethereof
ascendedasthesmokeofafurnace,andthewholemount quakedgreatly
19Andwhenthevoiceofthetrumpetsoundedlong,and waxedlouderandlouder,Mosesspake,andGodanswered himbyavoice.
20AndtheLORDcamedownuponmountSinai,onthe topofthemount:andtheLORDcalledMosesuptothetop ofthemount;andMoseswentup.
21AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Godown,chargethe people,lesttheybreakthroughuntotheLORDtogaze,and manyofthemperish.
22Andletthepriestsalso,whichcomeneartotheLORD, sanctifythemselves,lesttheLORDbreakforthuponthem 23AndMosessaiduntotheLORD,Thepeoplecannot comeuptomountSinai:forthouchargedstus,saying,Set boundsaboutthemount,andsanctifyit
24AndtheLORDsaiduntohim,Away,gettheedown, andthoushaltcomeup,thou,andAaronwiththee:butlet notthepriestsandthepeoplebreakthroughtocomeup untotheLORD,lesthebreakforthuponthem.
25SoMoseswentdownuntothepeople,andspakeunto them

1AndGodspakeallthesewords,saying, 2IamtheLORDthyGod,whichhavebroughttheeoutof thelandofEgypt,outofthehouseofbondage 3Thoushalthavenoothergodsbeforeme.
4Thoushaltnotmakeuntotheeanygravenimage,orany likenessofanythingthatisinheavenabove,orthatisin theearthbeneath,orthatisinthewaterundertheearth: 5Thoushaltnotbowdownthyselftothem,norservethem: forItheLORDthyGodamajealousGod,visitingthe iniquityofthefathersuponthechildrenuntothethirdand fourthgenerationofthemthathateme;

1Nowthesearethejudgmentswhichthoushaltsetbefore them
2IfthoubuyanHebrewservant,sixyearsheshallserve: andintheseventhheshallgooutfreefornothing
3Ifhecameinbyhimself,heshallgooutbyhimself:ifhe weremarried,thenhiswifeshallgooutwithhim.
4Ifhismasterhavegivenhimawife,andshehaveborn himsonsordaughters;thewifeandherchildrenshallbe hermaster's,andheshallgooutbyhimself.
5Andiftheservantshallplainlysay,Ilovemymaster,my wife,andmychildren;Iwillnotgooutfree:
6Thenhismastershallbringhimuntothejudges;heshall alsobringhimtothedoor,oruntothedoorpost;andhis mastershallborehisearthroughwithanaul;andheshall servehimforever.
7Andifamansellhisdaughtertobeamaidservant,she shallnotgooutasthemenservantsdo.
8Ifshepleasenothermaster,whohathbetrothedherto himself,thenshallheletherberedeemed:tosellheruntoa strangenationheshallhavenopower,seeinghehathdealt deceitfullywithher
9Andifhehavebetrothedheruntohisson,heshalldeal withherafterthemannerofdaughters.
10Ifhetakehimanotherwife;herfood,herraiment,and herdutyofmarriage,shallhenotdiminish
11Andifhedonotthesethreeuntoher,thenshallshego outfreewithoutmoney
12Hethatsmitethaman,sothathedie,shallbesurelyput todeath.
13Andifamanlienotinwait,butGoddeliverhiminto hishand;thenIwillappointtheeaplacewhitherheshall flee.
14Butifamancomepresumptuouslyuponhisneighbour, toslayhimwithguile;thoushalttakehimfromminealtar, thathemaydie.
15Andhethatsmitethhisfather,orhismother,shallbe surelyputtodeath
16Andhethatstealethaman,andsellethhim,orifhebe foundinhishand,heshallsurelybeputtodeath
17Andhethatcursethhisfather,orhismother,shall surelybeputtodeath
18Andifmenstrivetogether,andonesmiteanotherwitha stone,orwithhisfist,andhedienot,butkeepethhisbed:

20Behold,IsendanAngelbeforethee,tokeeptheeinthe way,andtobringtheeintotheplacewhichIhaveprepared. 21Bewareofhim,andobeyhisvoice,provokehimnot; forhewillnotpardonyourtransgressions:formynameis inhim.
22Butifthoushaltindeedobeyhisvoice,anddoallthatI speak;thenIwillbeanenemyuntothineenemies,andan adversaryuntothineadversaries.
23FormineAngelshallgobeforethee,andbringtheein untotheAmorites,andtheHittites,andthePerizzites,and theCanaanites,theHivites,andtheJebusites:andIwillcut themoff
24Thoushaltnotbowdowntotheirgods,norservethem, nordoaftertheirworks:butthoushaltutterlyoverthrow them,andquitebreakdowntheirimages
25AndyeshallservetheLORDyourGod,andheshall blessthybread,andthywater;andIwilltakesickness awayfromthemidstofthee
26Thereshallnothingcasttheiryoung,norbebarren,in thyland:thenumberofthydaysIwillfulfil.
27Iwillsendmyfearbeforethee,andwilldestroyallthe peopletowhomthoushaltcome,andIwillmakeallthine enemiesturntheirbacksuntothee.
28AndIwillsendhornetsbeforethee,whichshalldrive outtheHivite,theCanaanite,andtheHittite,frombefore thee.
29Iwillnotdrivethemoutfrombeforetheeinoneyear; lestthelandbecomedesolate,andthebeastofthefield multiplyagainstthee.
30BylittleandlittleIwilldrivethemoutfrombeforethee, untilthoubeincreased,andinherittheland
31AndIwillsetthyboundsfromtheRedseaevenunto theseaofthePhilistines,andfromthedesertuntotheriver: forIwilldelivertheinhabitantsofthelandintoyourhand; andthoushaltdrivethemoutbeforethee.

30Andthatsonthatispriestinhissteadshallputthemon sevendays,whenhecomethintothetabernacleofthe congregationtoministerintheholyplace
31Andthoushalttaketheramoftheconsecration,and seethehisfleshintheholyplace.
32AndAaronandhissonsshalleatthefleshoftheram, andthebreadthatisinthebasket,bythedoorofthe tabernacleofthecongregation.
33Andtheyshalleatthosethingswherewiththe atonementwasmade,toconsecrateandtosanctifythem: butastrangershallnoteatthereof,becausetheyareholy.
34Andifoughtofthefleshoftheconsecrations,orofthe bread,remainuntothemorning,thenthoushaltburnthe remainderwithfire:itshallnotbeeaten,becauseitisholy.
35AndthusshaltthoudountoAaron,andtohissons, accordingtoallthingswhichIhavecommandedthee: sevendaysshaltthouconsecratethem
36Andthoushaltoffereverydayabullockforasin offeringforatonement:andthoushaltcleansethealtar, whenthouhastmadeanatonementforit,andthoushalt anointit,tosanctifyit
37Sevendaysthoushaltmakeanatonementforthealtar, andsanctifyit;anditshallbeanaltarmostholy: whatsoevertoucheththealtarshallbeholy
38Nowthisisthatwhichthoushaltofferuponthealtar; twolambsofthefirstyeardaybydaycontinually
39Theonelambthoushaltofferinthemorning;andthe otherlambthoushaltofferateven:
40Andwiththeonelambatenthdealofflourmingled withthefourthpartofanhinofbeatenoil;andthefourth partofanhinofwineforadrinkoffering.
41Andtheotherlambthoushaltofferateven,andshaltdo theretoaccordingtothemeatofferingofthemorning,and accordingtothedrinkofferingthereof,forasweetsavour, anofferingmadebyfireuntotheLORD
42Thisshallbeacontinualburntofferingthroughoutyour generationsatthedoorofthetabernacleofthe congregationbeforetheLORD:whereIwillmeetyou,to speakthereuntothee
43AndthereIwillmeetwiththechildrenofIsrael,andthe tabernacleshallbesanctifiedbymyglory
44AndIwillsanctifythetabernacleofthecongregation, andthealtar:IwillsanctifyalsobothAaronandhissons, toministertomeinthepriest'soffice
45AndIwilldwellamongthechildrenofIsrael,andwill betheirGod.
46AndtheyshallknowthatIamtheLORDtheirGod,that broughtthemforthoutofthelandofEgypt,thatImay dwellamongthem:IamtheLORDtheirGod.
CHAPTER30
1Andthoushaltmakeanaltartoburnincenseupon:of shittimwoodshaltthoumakeit.
2Acubitshallbethelengththereof,andacubitthe breadththereof;foursquareshallitbe:andtwocubitsshall betheheightthereof:thehornsthereofshallbeofthesame.
3Andthoushaltoverlayitwithpuregold,thetopthereof, andthesidesthereofroundabout,andthehornsthereof; andthoushaltmakeuntoitacrownofgoldroundabout
4Andtwogoldenringsshaltthoumaketoitunderthe crownofit,bythetwocornersthereof,uponthetwosides ofitshaltthoumakeit;andtheyshallbeforplacesforthe stavestobearitwithal
5Andthoushaltmakethestavesofshittimwood,and overlaythemwithgold.
6Andthoushaltputitbeforethevailthatisbythearkof thetestimony,beforethemercyseatthatisoverthe testimony,whereIwillmeetwiththee.
7AndAaronshallburnthereonsweetincenseevery morning:whenhedresseththelamps,heshallburnincense uponit.
8AndwhenAaronlighteththelampsateven,heshallburn incenseuponit,aperpetualincensebeforetheLORD throughoutyourgenerations.
9Yeshalloffernostrangeincensethereon,norburnt sacrifice,normeatoffering;neithershallyepourdrink offeringthereon
10AndAaronshallmakeanatonementuponthehornsof itonceinayearwiththebloodofthesinofferingof atonements:onceintheyearshallhemakeatonementupon itthroughoutyourgenerations:itismostholyuntothe LORD.
11AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
12WhenthoutakestthesumofthechildrenofIsraelafter theirnumber,thenshalltheygiveeverymanaransomfor hissouluntotheLORD,whenthounumberestthem;that therebenoplagueamongthem,whenthounumberest them.
13Thistheyshallgive,everyonethatpassethamongthem thatarenumbered,halfashekelaftertheshekelofthe sanctuary:(ashekelistwentygerahs:)anhalfshekelshall betheofferingoftheLORD
14Everyonethatpassethamongthemthatarenumbered, fromtwentyyearsoldandabove,shallgiveanoffering untotheLORD
15Therichshallnotgivemore,andthepoorshallnotgive lessthanhalfashekel,whentheygiveanofferinguntothe LORD,tomakeanatonementforyoursouls
16Andthoushalttaketheatonementmoneyofthe childrenofIsrael,andshaltappointitfortheserviceofthe tabernacleofthecongregation;thatitmaybeamemorial untothechildrenofIsraelbeforetheLORD,tomakean atonementforyoursouls.
17AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 18Thoushaltalsomakealaverofbrass,andhisfootalso ofbrass,towashwithal:andthoushaltputitbetweenthe tabernacleofthecongregationandthealtar,andthoushalt putwatertherein
19ForAaronandhissonsshallwashtheirhandsandtheir feetthereat:
20Whentheygointothetabernacleofthecongregation, theyshallwashwithwater,thattheydienot;orwhenthey comeneartothealtartominister,toburnofferingmadeby fireuntotheLORD:
21Sotheyshallwashtheirhandsandtheirfeet,thatthey dienot:anditshallbeastatuteforevertothem,evento himandtohisseedthroughouttheirgenerations.
22MoreovertheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 23Takethoualsountotheeprincipalspices,ofpuremyrrh fivehundredshekels,andofsweetcinnamonhalfsomuch, eventwohundredandfiftyshekels,andofsweetcalamus twohundredandfiftyshekels,
24Andofcassiafivehundredshekels,aftertheshekelof thesanctuary,andofoiloliveanhin:
25Andthoushaltmakeitanoilofholyointment,an ointmentcompoundaftertheartoftheapothecary:itshall beanholyanointingoil
26Andthoushaltanointthetabernacleofthecongregation therewith,andthearkofthetestimony, 27Andthetableandallhisvessels,andthecandlestick andhisvessels,andthealtarofincense, 28Andthealtarofburntofferingwithallhisvessels,and thelaverandhisfoot
29Andthoushaltsanctifythem,thattheymaybemost holy:whatsoevertoucheththemshallbeholy.
30AndthoushaltanointAaronandhissons,and consecratethem,thattheymayministeruntomeinthe priest'soffice

32Uponman'sfleshshallitnotbepoured,neithershallye makeanyotherlikeit,afterthecompositionofit:itisholy, anditshallbeholyuntoyou.
33Whosoevercompoundethanylikeit,orwhosoever puttethanyofituponastranger,shallevenbecutofffrom hispeople
34AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Takeuntotheesweet spices,stacte,andonycha,andgalbanum;thesesweet spiceswithpurefrankincense:ofeachshalltherebealike weight:
35Andthoushaltmakeitaperfume,aconfectionafterthe artoftheapothecary,temperedtogether,pureandholy:
36Andthoushaltbeatsomeofitverysmall,andputofit beforethetestimonyinthetabernacleofthecongregation, whereIwillmeetwiththee:itshallbeuntoyoumostholy
37Andasfortheperfumewhichthoushaltmake,yeshall notmaketoyourselvesaccordingtothecomposition thereof:itshallbeuntotheeholyfortheLORD
38Whosoevershallmakelikeuntothat,tosmellthereto, shallevenbecutofffromhispeople.

14Yeshallkeepthesabbaththerefore;foritisholyunto you:everyonethatdefilethitshallsurelybeputtodeath:
forwhosoeverdoethanyworktherein,thatsoulshallbe cutofffromamonghispeople
15Sixdaysmayworkbedone;butintheseventhisthe sabbathofrest,holytotheLORD:whosoeverdoethany workinthesabbathday,heshallsurelybeputtodeath.
16WhereforethechildrenofIsraelshallkeepthesabbath, toobservethesabbaththroughouttheirgenerations,fora perpetualcovenant.
17ItisasignbetweenmeandthechildrenofIsraelfor ever:forinsixdaystheLORDmadeheavenandearth,and ontheseventhdayherested,andwasrefreshed.
18AndhegaveuntoMoses,whenhehadmadeanendof communingwithhimuponmountSinai,twotablesof testimony,tablesofstone,writtenwiththefingerofGod.
CHAPTER32
1AndwhenthepeoplesawthatMosesdelayedtocome downoutofthemount,thepeoplegatheredthemselves togetheruntoAaron,andsaiduntohim,Up,makeusgods, whichshallgobeforeus;forasforthisMoses,theman thatbroughtusupoutofthelandofEgypt,wewotnot whatisbecomeofhim.
2AndAaronsaiduntothem,Breakoffthegoldenearrings, whichareintheearsofyourwives,ofyoursons,andof yourdaughters,andbringthemuntome.
3Andallthepeoplebrakeoffthegoldenearringswhich wereintheirears,andbroughtthemuntoAaron
4Andhereceivedthemattheirhand,andfashioneditwith agravingtool,afterhehadmadeitamoltencalf:andthey said,Thesebethygods,OIsrael,whichbroughttheeup outofthelandofEgypt.
5AndwhenAaronsawit,hebuiltanaltarbeforeit;and Aaronmadeproclamation,andsaid,Tomorrowisafeast totheLORD.
6Andtheyroseupearlyonthemorrow,andofferedburnt offerings,andbroughtpeaceofferings;andthepeoplesat downtoeatandtodrink,androseuptoplay.
7AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Go,gettheedown;for thypeople,whichthoubroughtestoutofthelandofEgypt, havecorruptedthemselves:
8TheyhaveturnedasidequicklyoutofthewaywhichI commandedthem:theyhavemadethemamoltencalf,and haveworshippedit,andhavesacrificedthereunto,andsaid, Thesebethygods,OIsrael,whichhavebroughttheeup outofthelandofEgypt
9AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Ihaveseenthispeople, and,behold,itisastiffneckedpeople:
10Nowthereforeletmealone,thatmywrathmaywaxhot againstthem,andthatImayconsumethem:andIwill makeoftheeagreatnation
11AndMosesbesoughttheLORDhisGod,andsaid, LORD,whydoththywrathwaxhotagainstthypeople, whichthouhastbroughtforthoutofthelandofEgyptwith greatpower,andwithamightyhand?
12WhereforeshouldtheEgyptiansspeak,andsay,For mischiefdidhebringthemout,toslaytheminthe mountains,andtoconsumethemfromthefaceoftheearth? Turnfromthyfiercewrath,andrepentofthisevilagainst thypeople
13RememberAbraham,Isaac,andIsrael,thyservants,to whomthouswarestbythineownself,andsaidstuntothem, Iwillmultiplyyourseedasthestarsofheaven,andallthis
landthatIhavespokenofwillIgiveuntoyourseed,and theyshallinherititforever
14AndtheLORDrepentedoftheevilwhichhethoughtto dountohispeople
15AndMosesturned,andwentdownfromthemount,and thetwotablesofthetestimonywereinhishand:thetables werewrittenonboththeirsides;ontheonesideandonthe otherweretheywritten.
16AndthetablesweretheworkofGod,andthewriting wasthewritingofGod,gravenuponthetables
17AndwhenJoshuaheardthenoiseofthepeopleasthey shouted,hesaiduntoMoses,Thereisanoiseofwarinthe camp
18Andhesaid,Itisnotthevoiceofthemthatshoutfor mastery,neitherisitthevoiceofthemthatcryforbeing overcome:butthenoiseofthemthatsingdoIhear
19Anditcametopass,assoonashecamenighuntothe camp,thathesawthecalf,andthedancing:andMoses' angerwaxedhot,andhecastthetablesoutofhishands, andbrakethembeneaththemount.
20Andhetookthecalfwhichtheyhadmade,andburntit inthefire,andgroundittopowder,andstrawedituponthe water,andmadethechildrenofIsraeldrinkofit.
21AndMosessaiduntoAaron,Whatdidthispeopleunto thee,thatthouhastbroughtsogreatasinuponthem?
22AndAaronsaid,Letnottheangerofmylordwaxhot: thouknowestthepeople,thattheyaresetonmischief 23Fortheysaiduntome,Makeusgods,whichshallgo beforeus:forasforthisMoses,themanthatbroughtusup outofthelandofEgypt,wewotnotwhatisbecomeofhim 24AndIsaiduntothem,Whosoeverhathanygold,let thembreakitoff.Sotheygaveitme:thenIcastitintothe fire,andtherecameoutthiscalf

26ThenMosesstoodinthegateofthecamp,andsaid, WhoisontheLORD'Sside?lethimcomeuntome.And allthesonsofLevigatheredthemselvestogetheruntohim 27Andhesaiduntothem,ThussaiththeLORDGodof Israel,Puteverymanhisswordbyhisside,andgoinand outfromgatetogatethroughoutthecamp,andslayevery manhisbrother,andeverymanhiscompanion,andevery manhisneighbour.

29ForMoseshadsaid,Consecrateyourselvestodaytothe LORD,eveneverymanuponhisson,anduponhisbrother; thathemaybestowuponyouablessingthisday

1AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Hewtheetwotablesof stonelikeuntothefirst:andIwillwriteuponthesetables thewordsthatwereinthefirsttables,whichthoubrakest. 2Andbereadyinthemorning,andcomeupinthe morninguntomountSinai,andpresentthyselftheretome inthetopofthemount.
3Andnomanshallcomeupwiththee,neitherletanyman beseenthroughoutallthemount;neitherlettheflocksnor herdsfeedbeforethatmount.
4Andhehewedtwotablesofstonelikeuntothefirst;and Mosesroseupearlyinthemorning,andwentupunto mountSinai,astheLORDhadcommandedhim,andtook inhishandthetwotablesofstone
5AndtheLORDdescendedinthecloud,andstoodwith himthere,andproclaimedthenameoftheLORD.
6AndtheLORDpassedbybeforehim,andproclaimed, TheLORD,TheLORDGod,mercifulandgracious, longsuffering,andabundantingoodnessandtruth,
7Keepingmercyforthousands,forgivinginiquityand transgressionandsin,andthatwillbynomeansclearthe guilty;visitingtheiniquityofthefathersuponthechildren, anduponthechildren'schildren,untothethirdandtothe fourthgeneration.
8AndMosesmadehaste,andbowedhisheadtowardthe earth,andworshipped

3Andthoushaltputthereinthearkofthetestimony,and coverthearkwiththevail.
4Andthoushaltbringinthetable,andsetinorderthe thingsthataretobesetinorderuponit;andthoushalt bringinthecandlestick,andlightthelampsthereof.
5Andthoushaltsetthealtarofgoldfortheincensebefore thearkofthetestimony,andputthehangingofthedoorto thetabernacle.
6Andthoushaltsetthealtaroftheburntofferingbefore thedoorofthetabernacleofthetentofthecongregation
7Andthoushaltsetthelaverbetweenthetentofthe congregationandthealtar,andshaltputwatertherein
8Andthoushaltsetupthecourtroundabout,andhangup thehangingatthecourtgate.
9Andthoushalttaketheanointingoil,andanointthe tabernacle,andallthatistherein,andshalthallowit,and allthevesselsthereof:anditshallbeholy.
10Andthoushaltanointthealtaroftheburntoffering,and allhisvessels,andsanctifythealtar:anditshallbeanaltar mostholy.
11Andthoushaltanointthelaverandhisfoot,and sanctifyit
12AndthoushaltbringAaronandhissonsuntothedoor ofthetabernacleofthecongregation,andwashthemwith water
13AndthoushaltputuponAarontheholygarments,and anointhim,andsanctifyhim;thathemayministeruntome inthepriest'soffice
14Andthoushaltbringhissons,andclothethemwith coats:
15Andthoushaltanointthem,asthoudidstanointtheir father,thattheymayministeruntomeinthepriest'soffice: fortheiranointingshallsurelybeaneverlastingpriesthood throughouttheirgenerations.
16ThusdidMoses:accordingtoallthattheLORD commandedhim,sodidhe
17Anditcametopassinthefirstmonthinthesecondyear, onthefirstdayofthemonth,thatthetabernaclewasreared up
18AndMosesrearedupthetabernacle,andfastenedhis sockets,andsetuptheboardsthereof,andputinthebars thereof,andreareduphispillars
19Andhespreadabroadthetentoverthetabernacle,and putthecoveringofthetentaboveuponit;astheLORD commandedMoses
20Andhetookandputthetestimonyintotheark,andset thestavesontheark,andputthemercyseataboveupon theark:
21Andhebroughtthearkintothetabernacle,andsetup thevailofthecovering,andcoveredthearkofthe testimony;astheLORDcommandedMoses
22Andheputthetableinthetentofthecongregation, uponthesideofthetabernaclenorthward,withoutthevail
23AndhesetthebreadinorderuponitbeforetheLORD; astheLORDhadcommandedMoses
24Andheputthecandlestickinthetentofthe congregation,overagainstthetable,onthesideofthe tabernaclesouthward.
25AndhelightedthelampsbeforetheLORD;asthe LORDcommandedMoses
26Andheputthegoldenaltarinthetentofthe congregationbeforethevail:
27Andheburntsweetincensethereon;astheLORD commandedMoses.
28Andhesetupthehangingatthedoorofthetabernacle
29Andheputthealtarofburntofferingbythedoorofthe tabernacleofthetentofthecongregation,andofferedupon ittheburntofferingandthemeatoffering;astheLORD commandedMoses
30Andhesetthelaverbetweenthetentofthe congregationandthealtar,andputwaterthere,towash withal
31AndMosesandAaronandhissonswashedtheirhands andtheirfeetthereat:
32Whentheywentintothetentofthecongregation,and whentheycamenearuntothealtar,theywashed;asthe LORDcommandedMoses
33Andherearedupthecourtroundaboutthetabernacle andthealtar,andsetupthehangingofthecourtgate.So Mosesfinishedthework
34Thenacloudcoveredthetentofthecongregation,and thegloryoftheLORDfilledthetabernacle.
35AndMoseswasnotabletoenterintothetentofthe congregation,becausethecloudabodethereon,andthe gloryoftheLORDfilledthetabernacle.
36Andwhenthecloudwastakenupfromoverthe tabernacle,thechildrenofIsraelwentonwardinalltheir journeys:
37Butifthecloudwerenottakenup,thentheyjourneyed nottillthedaythatitwastakenup
38ForthecloudoftheLORDwasuponthetabernacleby day,andfirewasonitbynight,inthesightofallthehouse ofIsrael,throughoutalltheirjourneys.
