The International Association of Rights and Freedoms received with a deep concern and resentment the announcement by the Government of the United Arab Emirates of making a list of eighty-three Muslim organizations and most of them are scientific, research and relief organizations scattered around the world and they have the legal character in the States in

which they are recorded . These organizations are described as terrorist organizations by the Emirates government’s decision. The International Association has noted that the list included many of the Islamic Scientific and relief prestigious organizations, social organizations and Islamic organizations in some European countries. These organizations are classified as terrorist organizations without any evidence or objective reasons that justify the classification decision and consistent with the crime of terrorism standards and in accordance with the law, which was approved by the council of ministers of the United Arab Emirates, and the commitment to this law with the international standards related to the definition of crimes and terrorist organizations, the thing which is considered to be an expression of a political situation and abuse in the use of the international campaign to counter some of the terrorist organizations in the region to settle political scores with institutions and organization that do not have any relationship with terrorism. This situation hurts all regional and international efforts to curb the real terrorist organizations and loses credibility, not to mention that this policy is recorded in stark contrast with the existing human rights principles based on the principle of the innocence of the accused until his guilty is proven and that opens the door to tarnish the image of institutions and individuals without the support of law or justice. The International Association of Rights and Freedoms also considers that the involvement of the innocent and accusing them with serious offenses such as terrorism and limiting the list to Islamic organizations and institutions alone, reinforces the prevailing state of Islamophobia, which the Muslim minorities around the world began to suffer from its repercussions. According to what was mentioned above the International Association demands the United Arab Emirates to clarify the standards and legal documents and the data on which they made their decision on the right of Islamic institutions, and call for reconsideration of the confusion among the political situations of these organizations and the terrorist crime which should be clear and specific in accordance with the relevant international standards.
