The International Association of Rights and Freedoms is following up the developments of the situation in Iraq with a great concern as it Condemns the sectarian politics based on the discrimination on the basis of the doctrine done by the Prime Minister of the Iraqi regime, Nouri al-Maliki, which led to a grave violations against a section of the Iraqi people, this can be classified as crimes against humanity since the brutal American aggression. This policy produced a sectarian congestion that is being fed by extremist parties currently, especially from the Iranian, aiming to drag Iraq into a sectarian war through what the regime announced of Voluntary campaigns and carrying weapon even it pushed the children in these campaigns. The International Association of Rights and Freedoms records towards these events: - That the sectarian politics adopted by the prime minister of the Iraqi regime will increase the complexity of the situation in Iraq which will lead to more innocent victims to be killed. - It considers the sectarian politics as a discrimination on the basis of the doctrine and that is contrary to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the relevant international conventions. - To afford the responsibility for the developments and reactions in Iraq to the Iraqi regime and for those who support it and plan for it. Accordingly, the Association calls for the international community to support the Iraqi people’s revolution against injustice and corruption and support them in order to obtain their self-determination. The United Nations demands to appoint a special determinant on the situation of human rights in Iraq, and hurry to hold a special session of the Human Rights Council affiliated to the General Association of the United Nations on the dangerous developments for the human rights situation in Iraq.
