HISTORY

Live Healthy Iowa (LHI) was originally launched by the Iowa Sports Foundation (ISF) in 2002 as a strategic health initiative called Lighten Up Iowa.

The program’s name changed to Live Healthy Iowa in 2008 in effort to expand program focus beyond just physical activity and weight management.
