Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, and our family has many traditions for the season. I love entertaining in our formal dining room this time of year. From decking out the room in holiday décor to planning every little detail for the tablescape, I get so much joy from sharing it all with family and friends.

My husband and I hosted a dinner party for Christmas that was featured in my fabulous friend Shayla Copas’s book, Four Seasons of Entertaining. We began the meal with creamy mushroom soup. For the main course, we served my mom’s famous beef tenderloin, my crowd-pleasing Boursin cheese mashed potatoes, honey roasted carrots and my sister-in-law’s scrumptious corn soufflé. My holiday sangria is a delicious cocktail that you can make ahead of time, and your guests will rave about it! Eggnog pie and berry trifle ended the party on a sweet note.
